If you're mailing from out of state to use their services be sure to call them for instructions. The staff we talked to was really friendly and helpful. We mailed in some documents from a different state using USPS GROUND and got to their building in 4 days then we called in to confirm if they got the delivery. Once it was confirmed, we paid over the phone so that the receipient will not have to pay on their end. We did the option for pick up at SM MEGAMALL. It took 5 days for them to receieve it. Total of 9 days. Their services were super affordable compared to other air freight companies so we highly recommend them. FYI, prior to ship out to the Philippines, they did inspect the mail - probably just to make sure nothing prohibited is being sent out read more

very nice lady good customer Service explains well however they're golden cargo Staff needs to be careful on putting heavy items on top of small boxes. Luckily, there was minimal damage on one item. read more

It was my first time on this new office. Value for the shipping is really good as always. The office is inside the mall just so people know. I asked the lady who helped me if she knows the people who manages the Yelp and Google search hours for their store, she said she doesn't. I told her someone needs to update the hours on Sundays on there because it is showing that they are open on Sundays, but they are not. I also told her that I will put a review online and share that they are not open on Sundays so I can help the business and the customers. For all of us: The office is NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS. I hope this helps out. But other than that, service is always amazing! read more

I've been using Johnny Air for nearly 10 years. Most of that time I was based in Manila, and this what I used to ship my packages. I'd send my personal mail, Amazon/Ebay orders, etc safely and inexpensively. I've only shipped to Metro Manila, picking up those packages at one of their branches. For me, that was either Makaki, or at the SM Megamall at the ground level. What I will say about Johnny Air is they are fairly consistent and reliable. For example, I'd have my package sent to their San Francisco (Daly City) branch. Once they get it, I send an email detailing the contents and my contact details, tracking details, and specify which JAC branch I want to pick up at once it gets to Manila. Once the package is received at their USA office, it's generally dispatched in 2 to 3 days, via air. Arrival in Manila is an additional 3 to 5 days. Once in MNL allow 1-2 days for customs release, then the cargo moves to their Makati office where it's sorted and processed. All together allow 5-10 days (around 7 or 8 actually for arrival in Manila, and they will always send a txt message to your recipient letting them know it's ready for pick up. TIP: Call the LOCAL Johnny Air office (e.g. Daly City) when your package is delivered and pre-pay for your package over the phone rather than waiting for it to arrive in PH. The reason for this is you won't have to pay the Philippine VAT of 12%! You are also paying in US DOLLARS with your card without any exchange rate. I learned this was MUCH cheaper than paying at the receiving end in the Philippines! When I was living in Manila I would have to pay my package in PESO, and the 12% tax would be added (per the BIR) and to add to the expense, the Johnny Air branch in Manila would convert the USD to PHP using not the best rate. ;) So, be sure you prepay your shipments otherwise you pay a lot more in PH! Also be careful about shipping anything potentially prohibited. This includes anything having to do with coins, collectibles, currency, stamps, jewelry, precious metals, or similar items. Also follow guidelines johnny air advises. This is nothing to do with them, but PH customs has become increasingly strict about some types of value items, and those shipments are likely to be inspected. If any prohibited items are found. Johnny air will contact you and send them back. This is for your protection to avoid possible confiscation, or an unpleasant duty tax! ;) Rest assured your items are in safe hands with JAC. read more

Thank you, Johnny Air Cargo, for a wonderful transaction. I shipped a package from Texas to Bulacan for the first time ever in my life last week. Josh and Rhomel from Los Angeles Johnny Air Cargo were wonderful to work with. The transaction went smoothly, including the paid delivery directly to my friend's home!I was nervous at first, but Josh helped every step of the way. The package arrived safe and sound. I will definitely be shipping with your company to my friends in Bulacan again. read more

Great service and friendly staff! I really enjoy using Johnny Air Cargo and I highly recommend them very reliable!

I highly trust Johnny Air. There is a man who is extremely helpful. I will get his name next time. The female cashier is also nice. They remind me to take a photo of the package so I fee more confident they will take care of the package. The rates are great for door-to-door and I don't have to worry about items missing. I also prefer to support local than going through FedEx or UPS, which are more expensive anyway. They accept cards but one time their system was down. I asked for the nearest ATM and there was one in the laundromat nearby, but the male associate quickly said I can do cashback at the grocery - which I prefer as there are no fees versus the sketchy ATM in the laundromat. My items have always been delivered on time and in tact. read more

I've been doing business with Johnny air for years now, they are very reliable, friendly staffs, and most of all affordable. If you want to send something to the Philippines and it's urgent, you can use their air cargo, it will take only less than a week to get there. So glad that they have Johnny air in the Bay Area. read more

Jhonny Air is the best. Package is always on time & their rate per pound is a good price!

My package I send was delivered within 5 days and they are reliable and staff were very accommodating.

Realiable balikbayan box. From California to Manila, it took around 40 days but their maximum time allowance is 45 days so it's still good. It was my first time to send one and nothing was missing, it wasn't opened, it is how it is. Keep up the good work and will definitely send another box soon! Thank you! :) read more

The people that visit this type of cargo/remittance business should have no trouble getting the service that they are looking forhere. They speak tagalog and are very friendly. They offer a good variety of services at competitive prices. My only gripe for giving 3/5 stars is that I received different information from different employees regarding services. Sometimes everything I was told turned out to not be true. Get it together guys. read more

I have used Johnny Air probably a dozen times over the past two years, and I have been very pleased with their service each time. I have had packages and documents sent to me by my niece from Manila, and I have sent packages and documents to both Manila and Bocolod. Each time, these were delivered quickly, and the people at the Daly City Office and in the Philippines have always been friendly and helpful. I will continue to use their services, because I have confidence in their ability to deliver my packages and documents both quickly and securely. read more

I have used Johnny Air Cargo a few times, the West Covina office. They are great and very friendly, the costumer service is Great also. Only issue is when calling very hard to get ahold of someone. The LA office does answer and will do everything they can to help. The service is quick less then 10 day to get package to province. I recommend them to all my friends and will use them again. read more

Great exchange rate! And transmits my funds in my bank account in the Philippines right away!

Note- please do not support this business! I made the mistake going through Johnny Air for travel booking to the Philippines. First, the agent aggressively talked us out of getting a direct flight on Philippine Airlines to taking a stop over flight through Korean airlines. He stated that on our flight back, because time and length of our layover, the airline would provide a hotel in Korea. This was totally not the case. The airline knew nothing of the sort. I was furious! I would not allow my 5 month pregnant sister sleep on the chairs of an airport for 12 hours. I thought, what if I did not money to spend on a hotel my way back from vacation? I could have been stuck! I had to call long distance to Johnny Air from Korea. I was told by representatives of Johnny air to get a hotel and I would be reimbursed. When I came back to Johnny Air to receive the reimbursement for the hotel, they gave me the run around, disputing my reimbursement. They questioned my hotel choice and cost! But there were no specifics when they offered reimbursement. Plus they wouldn't have to reimburse me if they paid for the hotel or if we weren't talked out of a direct flight from Philippine airlines to Korean air layover flight. I would come to the store every week asking for the reimbursement while complaining that Johnny air shouldn't advertise that free hotel or any other offers that they know nothing about or will not back up themselves. So, my case was handed over to a lady off site. After weeks of trying to get the reimbursement THEY offered, I chalked it up as a loss. I hope that no one will support inconsiderate businesses that LIE, CHEAT, STEAL from their customers! Definitely negative stars if I could.... read more

i'm going to give it 1 star although if there's a half star that would be a good one. Just found out from Yelp here that they now have a Union City location, but when called their number it says it's not accepting calls...hmmm??? interesting... are they still up and running? then called their Daly City location (i've send a package from this location in the mid or late 90s), and it says their mail box is full. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since today is the day after Thanksgiving Day and perhaps this business is close for the long weekend? Hmmm again... USPS and even LBC is open to continue their service/delivery schedule... read more

Johnny Air cargo is the best, I've been sending medicines to my parents in the Philippines they are very reliable and for the balikbayan boxes, they arrived unopened, i can only trust johnny air cargo when it comes to shipment. God bless to your company and more power! read more

Last 9/13/12 I went to JOHNNY AIR CARGO to send money to PI. Vic said that they need to update their record and asked for my ID. I handed him my CADL and he made a copy. Then he proceeded to type up the information and gave me the receipt after the transaction was done. The next day morning that's when I noticed that my license was missing. I called them back at around 10am. I was on hold for few minutes, and then someone came back saying that they are STILL LOOKING for it...and finally found it. If that is the case, you would think that they could have called me yesterday to let me know that it is in their possession and put my license in a safe place...??!! It is a bother to me since I still have to get off work to pick it up. The issue is...they did NOT CALL me to let me know that my license was with them, and not even an apology from any of them. It could also be a problem because I was going out of state in a couple of days. I suggest for you guys to get some training to to more professional and improve your customer service. But I could care less now since I am going to go someplace else to send money. I just want to forewarn others in case you plan to use them....BEWARE! read more

Items often times arrive late but they do arrive. This could be due to the customs. I just feel cheated for the price. I weighed the items that I ordered, and it was no less than 3 lbs. They charged me for 10 lbs. read more

Honest shipping rates and estimates. Have all your information ready when you go. They are very good at forwarding pkgs from various US stores like Amazon. Just beware of the packaging used by the US stores, some have oversized boxes that will end up costing a lot to ship from the US unless you pay JAC to repackage your merchandise. That should save you money. For the gentleman with the major issue on the travel tickets you have my sympathy. Pay a little more for a reputable travel agent, and sometimes you will pay even less! My own personal recommendation based on 5 RTs to the Ph is take Ph. Airlines for the fastest direct trip. Want a break and somewhat cheaper fair, take EVA Air. The stop in the beautiful Teipai airport is worth it, plus the airline food and service is first rate (as is PA usually). Cathay is another to consider. If you only care about price, Air China is ok unless you have a sensitive stomach. LOL read more
