I can't believe that I have lived here for 10 years and have not been to Floore Country Store until now. A friend had an extra ticket to see Ian Munsick so I got to experience this historic small venu. It was such a great experience! They have an indoor bar area as well as an outdoor bar area and plenty of space with great visibility of the stage. It was such a fun experience, I'm so glad I went and I would definitely go again. I think it was a smaller crowd so it could potentially get busy and fill up the space. I was lucky enough to be dropped off so I did not have to deal with parking but the entrance and outdoor bar were well staffed. I definately would go again to enjoy this Texas gem. read more

I've always wanted to come here. We planned on getting some food there, but they were not opening the restaurant till 7pm, and we were hungry. So we went somewhere else. Once we did to go in, it was pretty cool. The bands were going to play indoors, instead of outdoors. The ac was blowing pretty good, and it felt great inside. Once we got inside, we found us a table, seating was very limited for an indoor show. We got ourselves a drink, and the bar staff were quick and friendly. There were about 4-5 bartenders, and they did not mess around. Bathrooms are kinda of a hassle to get in and out of. I didn't check to see if the bats outside were open. The sound was great, you could hear everything that was being played. There was a dance floor, but the crowd was big and there was not a lot of room to dance. Still had a great time. This place is bigger than I thought. The bar part is decently sized but they have a huge outside part which is where the concert was at. I will be going back in the future to get a feel of what this place is like for just their bar. I didn't get anything to eat there only a drink which cost $12 and the bartended didn't know how to make it. I had to tell her what it was. Maybe it was just up charged because of the concert but sheesh $12!? I had a great time at the concert don't get me wrong but floore's really should have done more for people's safety. There was no walk way to get to the bar like there was so many people... it was almost a safety hazard. The police or workers should have told the people to make a walk way for safety but nope! They also have an inside seating area with a small stage. Ticket prices vary. They have the VIP with a table section that sells out quickly. Then there's the VIP with seating. The seating is first come first serve and people do get there early. The general admission is standing. The VIP has their own bar. The bathroom situation is tricky. Came here for the first time and it was quite an experience. The space inside is pretty big but it can get packed quick so if you wanna ensure you get close to the stage show up early. I used to enjoy concerts here maybe 4-5 years ago, and i'm not sure what has changed but jeez man. I went to go see Ty Myers (and him and his team were amazing) The Floores staff was very rude. An older man was directing people to stand against the railing like we were cattle. shouting "move," with absolutely no regard is insane to me as a fellow service worker. the entire show was just really tense, multiple people around us were bickering throughout the entire show. when leaving i tried asking one of their "rent-a-cop" people if we could return back to grab merch... she didn't even let me finish before saying "no" rudely. maybe everyone is so tense at the shows because there is such negative energy from staff and security, old town helotes has lost its charm of southern hospitality. gross. read more

Recently moved to the area and bought tickets to see the Bellamy Brothers. The day of the show it was a very cold day. I had read reviews about this place and prepared but was not prepared to learn that the concert was outside on this cold day. We arrived around 7 and were able to find a parking spot without having to pay for parking...about a block away. There was already a line waiting to get in. I saw many women carrying blankets...wish I would have known to bring one...but I had assumed the concert was indoors. We had premium seats and as soon as we entered, we walked over to the front of where the band was going to play. Plenty of chairs available but not really an area to dance. If you happen to visit in the summer or on a sunny day, there's no shade or umbrellas unless you purchase terrace tickets which are more expensive. I did love our seats....great view and sound was perfect. They do offer all kinds of alcoholic beverages and I did see people order food. Overall we had an amazing and fun experience and will visit again one day. read more

Used to be a great place to see a show with pretty solid bands coming through. Cheap beer, bit of a dive with gross bathrooms and a sewage smell in some places but you tolerate that for $2-3 beers and a good show. Then they started charging $8 a pop for Lone Star beers yet the place still smells like sewage so where is that money going? You're in Helotes, not downtown San Antonio. I attended my first social distancing concert last weekend, and I kinda like it! My husband is a huge fan of Texas country and Floore Country Store has always been our go-to concert venue for all his favorite artists. We noticed they were bringing concerts back last week and decided to give this a chance. Here is what you need to know: 1- You can only purchase tickets by groups of four, six or VIP table. 2- Seats are not assigned, so it's first come first serve. You MUST stay at your seat the entire time, and they don't encourage dancing or standing during the concert. 3- Staff comes at takes your drink order at your seat and you can pay with cash or card. 4- Everyone must wear face masks while walking around the venue. They have a few officers around the venue making sure everyone is wearing a face mask. 5- Food is still available for purchase, but you have to order that inside. With all that being said, I really like this new social distancing concert style. If you've been here before, you know Floores get PACKED! I am 5'1" and is always a struggle to even catch a glimpse of the artists playing, so this new way of enjoying the concert from the comfort of your seat is pretty nice. I also really liked that you don't have to wait in line to get a beer! The staff was AMAZING and they would get your drink in no time. read more

Saw Jon Pardi here last night. (And it was great!) Havent been to Floores in several years because I was not a fan of their set up.. Well, it's improved felt more "open" and I think there was a slight slant in the land going from back of venue to front of stage. I am pretty short, and towards the back, I could still see pretty well. Didn't eat there, but had drinks. Just basic beer, but they did have some other alcohol. OH! Best part.. I was trying hard to get tix. (Sold our show both nights) WELL! Floores has an area on their website to purchase other fan's tix. Yes. First off, I've been going to Floors for 30+ years. I've seen many great concerts there, both inside and outside. I grew up going there and now I go there with my daughter every month or two. It has that old school small town vibe...BUT things have been really rough the last few inside concerts. It's blazing hot put you in the hospital kind of hot. The ac inside is a freaking joke. They pack as many people as they can inside for a concert with really underpowered ac. You will be dripping in sweet 5 min into the concert. I honestly have no idea how the bands survive. They also charge a insane $9 per beer and $12 for a mixed drink. The bartenders are rude, and their selection isn't that good. You also have to watch your tab like a hawk because they added an extra $10 tip to our tab, and this isn't the 1st time it's happened. Floors needs to do a better job. read more

We've been her two times for concerts and it's a very fun venue. Though it does get pretty packed the spectators have all been friendly. I don't know the entire history of John T. Floore's Country Store in Old Town Helotes but it's a landmark treasure. Its probably best known as the musical birthplace of Willie Nelson. In October I had the pleasure of attending the Saturday concert of country music artist Jon Pardi. It was an awesome show that showcased his past hits and new songs from his latest record. I didn't get a chance to eat from thier kitchen but I heard they serve up some pretty good food. For smaller concerts Floore's has an intimate atmosphere with an indoor stage, dance area, with tables and for more popular artists the outside has a larger stage with elevated VIP sections along the side and back. General admission is standing room only in front of the stage and in the middle. So get there early if you want a great spot to see your favorite musician. Parking is available up and down Old Bandera Rd. Some of the parking is free but expect to pay about $10 to park at one of the many grass lots. Beer and liquor prices are about on par of what you would pay at a typical concert. Domestic beer like Lone Star is $6 a can. More for premium and mixed drinks. Floore's can't be missed. Everyone should go at least once for an experience you won't forget. read more

Today at John T Floore's I wanted cheddar bacon fries. So I went up and tried to order this. The lady behind the bar looked at me and told me "they don't like doing that!" I was shocked. Great place to see a show! Outdoor elevated stage with lots of general admission space. Lots of Port-a-potties. There's also an elevated porch that faces the stage where you can pay a bit more for a table. The porch has its own bar and a couple of port-a-potties. You can also pay for a table on the covered porch just off the main dining hall. This is good because the stage is covered so shows go on rain or shine. Main dining hall has restrooms with a few stalls. The restaurant is basic grub like brisket sandwiches, etc., and a veggie burger is offered. Chips are the side and a pie selection is usually offered. Buy your food on the left and your beer/liquor on the right. Liquor selection varies, good selection of beers. Will definitely be back and will get a porch table. Loved the experience! Nothing like listening to great music with nice weather and a lightning show in the distance. read more

I attended a socially distanced concert during COVID! And I just want to say... I hope things can stay this way, even after the pandemic. It was so nice to not have to fight crowds, have people stepping on my toes, leaning on me, spilling their beer on my boots, or blowing smoke in my face. I was extremely impressed by the set up. You purchase your ticket based on the general area that you want. And then they have it set up with groups of 4 chairs together. With the next group of chairs at least 6 feet from you, side ways, in front and in back. The wait staff come to you for drink orders. The only time I went inside, was to leave, but they were having people exit either through the back gate or the building. All the tables inside were picked up and put away. Since there was 2 shows this particular night, to account for social distancing, you could not exit through the front outside entrance, as people were starting to check in for the next show. We watched them spray every single chair with a sprayer, and then go around and spray again and wipe down each chair. Very impressed Floores, very impressed. I liked the seating set up.. was not expecting them to clean the chairs. I might just be getting too old for the up close and personal aspect of a concert, so I really enjoyed this set up. read more

I'm no expert, but I have a feeling this is the best place to see the country acts that come to San Antonio. There's a small indoor stage and a wide open outdoor stage under the stars for larger acts. Acoustics seemed good and it's family friendly. I haven't seen any of the outdoor acts. As this isn't a bar, there is no smoking inside but there's plenty of outdoor tables. Food was served till 10pm the Sat night I went. Workers were very hospitable. They serve bbq, bbq related sides, and a small adequate selection of bottled beer. The brisket I had was as tender as I've ever seen, but can't stand up to Rudy's BBQ. Potato salad could have had more mayo for my taste but had an added twist of bits of jalapeno. Most nights they have cover. Parking isn't a problem since Helotes has expanded the street lots. read more

Life was good as a VIP until the Nazi showed up telling us to get out ten minutes after the show. That wouldn't have been so bad except for two things. One - we paid more than the people not being kicked out. Two - they allowed the bar to sell drinks right before the show ended. This venue has been the place of many memories made with my friends. With multiple bars and open areas it is a very comfortable venue to watch a show and grab a drink. A perfect Honky Tonk. I've been to Billy Bob's, been to Cowboys I dunno how many times, but for my money, Floore's has em beat. If you watch a concert inside, it gets cramped quick, depending on who's playing, but it is retro and classic..boots hanging from the ceiling etc. Outdoors has kind of a county fair feel to it, but then they open the inside as a restaurant. We enjoyed our first time here to watch Brothers Osborne (April 2022, so bit of a late review). We had VIP Stage tickets and got there early, so we didn't have any issues with parking nor getting a good spot - against the railing in front of the stage. Bar to the left of the stage was easily accessible and never had a long wait. When purchasing the tix, we considered getting a VIP table, but all that was available was like the first one closest to the stage, and we're so glad we didn't go that route. We hung out by there before the show started, and the view point was poor due to the way the giant speakers are setup, so I would not recommend that spot if looking for a VIP table. Leaving the venue and parking area was not much of an issue either. We would return for another concert and just make sure to arrive quite early again. read more

We came here for an Ian Munsick concert. Ian got sick and could not preform (which happens). Instead of Floore's telling us before we drove an hour+ to venue, they waited till the last possible second. It almost seems like after we paid for parking and drinks, they decided to tell us that he cannot perform. Their drinks are soooooo expensive and paying all that money for no performance was very upsetting. After telling us he could not perform, I ask about getting our money back for parking.
