The silver fox is an absolutely adorable smaller scale bar/establishment but and I stated this highly but they have an amazing outside patio and the absolute must is you have to go on a Monday night for steak and potato you have to go get their barbecued steak and potatoes the steak is seasoned to perfection even though they won't tell me how they season it, but they will cook it for you anyway that you want and it's a nice chunk of meat and the baked potatoes are huge and they have all kinds of toppings provided so you absolutely have to try Monday night, steak and potato barbecue but I recommend getting there before 7 o'clock because you get there much later they may be sold out read more

I have to start by saying I'm a bit bias. This is like my neighborhood hangout and when you get to know the crew working there you know they are there to serve and make sure you have an enjoyable time. Thron my unbiased opinion, they have some remodeling that can be done without messing with the neighborhood ambiance. I love that you can play music you like on the jukebox through an app on your phone and if you'd like to play darts, pool, or corn hole it's there for you. These people are wonderful! I was invited by one of their regular patrons to their customer appreciation party and wow, they sure do know how to show appreciation ! They had continuous raffle ticket giveaways starting around 4 pm and for the rest of the night, making many happy winners of hats and shirts and many other gifts...they had a table full of jewelry and merchandise for those that wanted some. The food they put out was superb and plentiful, a potluck-type buffet with smoked Turkey , brisket, sausage, chicken that was slow-cooked over wood in their large smoker outside. But these things are material, this is not what made them stand out. As busy as they were with drink orders, I was so impressed by their grace under pressure. I only saw efficiency, cheer and attentiveness from all the staff behind that bar, and my oh my were they swamped the entire time with orders! As a bonus, I had thought I had left my sunglasses there and the manager was so kind and thorough in attempting to recover them ( I later found them somewhere else ). The Silver Fox is a special kind of place with spectacular staff! So good to see a well-run business like this! read more

We went on Monday night steak night. The atmosphere was really fun! The people were so nice. A patron came over and asked if he could bus our table. We were unaware that this was a common practice here and bused our own table afterwards. The bar was well stocked. They had multiple flavors of deep Eddy vodka. They also stock half bottles of Chateau st Michelle (sp?) Cabernet. My partner loved the smoky flavor of the steak. I am not as big on smoky flavor. The steak was HUGE! The Baked potato was delicious!!!! It was cooked medium rare just as we asked for! I would definitely go back. There was no bouncer when we went so I have no idea what the people from CA. or CO. are talking about. Great old Texas dive bar. The patio would be great in the fall! read more

I came in with a groups of co-workers while on a business trip... and was told by the La Quinta Hotel we stayed at that this was a nice place. Coming all the way from Los Angeles, California and so exited to visit Texas for this 1st time, this place was by far the worst experience I've ever had vacationing. THIS PLACE SCREAMS RACISTS!!!! I walked in with my group... never was greeted nor acknowledged! For about 10 mins tops we just stood there in their raggedy ass dance floor waiting to be serviced. I finally said excused me to a what looked like a mid aged woman with curly blonde hair and her response was "what do you ladies want" Some service! That's what the hell I wanted! I had no problem gathering my crew and patronizing a business who welcomed us! We walked to Papa Nachos Cantina just up the road and Cleo over there made up for the Silver Fox's terrible customer services. As a business owner myself, running a full throttle business of my very own in LA, this is UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Nobody thinks of The Silver Fox as their first choice when going out, but for a reason or another...they always end their night here. Last time I visited "The Fox", I arrived around 11pm - which was early - but as soon as 1am hit the clock the place was packed! Parking is always a problem here, so keep that in mind when visiting. The bartenders are always nice, and drinks are affordable. They sometimes have live music inside which usually varies between rock and country. They also have a patio with TVs and fire pits in case it gets a little chilly. This is definitely a hidden gem and a place that locals love. read more

This place has reasonably priced drinks, decent music and lots of people. It feels like a little party in here all the time. They are good about keeping minors out and the people here are friendly. There are plenty of games here and there is a nice outdoor back area that is especially nice during the wi tears because they have fire pits. My only complaint is they have only one pool table and it's not that good of one. It's fun sometimes though because I'm decent at pool so I can hold the table for a while. It's the best bar that is close to me so that is a huge bonus, there are no bars as good as this one without traveling a bit further for me based on my location. People don't get crazy here and I've never seen a fight break out, the bartenders and door people are great about keeping things in control while fun at the same time. read more

Went to Boerne for a girls weekend and we wanted to go out. Our friend misled us a little in saying that it was a karaoke bar, but there is in fact karaoke on Tuesdays. Still, there's a great juke box that you can play your fav jams. There was a stage where my group decided to take over, and apparently a band was scheduled to play that night and didn't show, which was a little bit of the bummer. It wasn't super crowded, but it had a decent crowd. The ambiance was a little leg up on a dive bar, but it did have a dive bar feel. It had ample seating. The outside area could use a little work. It was large, but felt cramped at the same time. There was washers and corn hole to keep you entertained. They had two girls bathrooms, always a plus and they were clean. The bartenders were super nice and it was easy to get drinks, not to mention a bar tab for 2 was only $17. The drinks were cheap and pretty good. read more
