Never had a bad experience coming here. BIG screen in the courtyard area to watch sports, live music stage, awesome little resturant attached to the bar and a really nice bar and staff.. Inside has pool tables as well. Win win all around. I think the ONLY thing that is a knock on them but not enough to lower my rating, is they are unable to run tabs at the bar, which is a bit frustrating, but it happens and its not a deal breaker. We had the worst experience with a small thin red head younger bartender 5/10/26 about 5pm she pushed my arm off the bar top very rudely and asked me to move. She took our order while being very impatient. We will not return. Although found a great beer garden with amazing food trucks right across the road. I've been going to Pete's for 4 years. I loved the place and had great experiences until today 05-10-2026 at 5pm. I will NEVER go to Pete's again. I will Never recommend Pete's again until they FIRE the red headed bar tender! Today I experience the worst customer experience in 37 years! I've been promoting clubs on Hollywood Blvd and working in the customer service industry for decades. I've fired servers for less. This redheaded woman is not fit for Pete's or customer service!!!! She is a liability to Pete's and a malicious liar! I've been bringing dozens of people to Pete's from 45 minutes away. for over 4 years. Today a Red headed bar tender which is a new bartender, I've never seen at Pete's decided it was a good idea to LIE about me and the NEW customer I brought to Pete's. I love Pete's Six Shooters. I go their just for the six shooter. Today I ordered the usually. A Six Shooter with tecate Light and Jose Cuervo silver. Pete's did not have any Cuervo Silver and wanted to give me well Tequila. I informed the redheaded bar tender I can not drink Well. it gives me head aches. Could she give me something else beside WELL tequila. She said NO in a very disrespectful way and demeaner. Instead or arguing with what is a very unprofessional bartender. I asked her. What will it cost to upgrade to a better quality tequila. The redhead CHOOSE to ignore my question and request and she CHOOSES to get aggressive and combative with me OVER a QUESTION to pay more!!! So weird and odd behavior for someone in a customer service indusrty! I told her she can not downgrade me to well when I paid for more and she should give me the next best tequila. I even told her I'd pay MORE MONEY for a better tequila Instead. Instead of acting human, professional and talking to me with respect, the redheaded bar tender CHOOSE to verbally attack and insult me and my guest. She even grabbed my male guest by the arm and pushed him away from the bar. telling him someone is sitting there. My guest said he just wants to order and walk away. The Red head bar tender actually grab my guest by his arm and pushed him away!! why would she even touch a customer and push them away from a empty bar? the bar location where you place your order? we where the ONLY people at the bar!! I asked to speak to Pete. I know Pete. Pete knows who I am. me and my friends spend thousands there! This new redheaded bartender made this such a awful experience we CHOOSE to leave and walk accross the road to buy our food and drinks acroos he street at the squash courts! Not only did she cost pete's busnisess and new customers she cost the mexican food place multiple order of food!! As we were walking out I spoke to the door man to tell him about our awful experience and he told me that if we are not welcome back. Because the Redheaded bar tender LIED to him and told him we where yelling at her across the bar. Now this redhead is LYING about customers and making things up that NEVER happened! I've know this guy (door man.) for over 4 years and told him the facts and truth. I told him have you ever seen me loud or aggressive? he said no! I told him to look at the cameras. This new redhead bar tender is LYING to you , chasing loyal customers away and has NO place working for Pete or in a customer service career! I told the redhead calmly to her face i will talk to Pete and his niece (manager.) about her behavior and LIES. for that reason she intentionally and maliciously LIED about the interaction. I told him to go look at the video told him where we wher sitting and that she is a liability and not a good fit for Pete's! I saw the ladies sitting next to us when they came accross the street and I asked them if we where telling and they all said NO!. The Santa Clause (Joey) wanna be security was rude as hell. We had turned the outside heaters off because the previous people had it up so high it was as literally burning us. As we turned it down. It accidentally turned off. When we proceeded to turn it up we realized it turned off. Being that it was our first time at Pete's and operating these heaters we kindly asked him to turn it back on for us and he said no. He proceeded to instead light his cancer stick (cigarette) and sit by the officer and talk shit. How unprofessional and rude it was of him. The bartenders were super sweet and great tho. This bar is great to chill. Pretty lively but not too crowded. A must visit for those visiting old town Helotes. We didn't get food here but they had a large selection of drinks on tap. They have live music every Friday and Saturday which is nice too. read more

Fully engaged staff. Love seeing it. The food was good from the attached place to them but WATCH OUT. They'll charge you for things you didn't order. They bring things to you incorrect or completely forget about what you ordered. Watch your receipt. Although the food is good. The operation they run is haphazard. idk if the so called "bouncer" was drinking or off something because he would let 2 people in from the line for every 15 people he let cut the line for sending him money or if they knew him. It seemed like he knew the whole town apparently. like can we get someone else to keep him check because I had to talk to the cop and other bouncer and let them know it had been 45 minutes and even they were shocked and let us in. Came here for dollar beer Tuesdays with a couple of friends! Inside, it seems like a regular bar; a little dark and has some music playing. Outside, there is a huge screen where you can watch sports. Many people were delivering pizza/chicken/etc. which would be perfect if you wanted to watch a special game at a bar with your dollar beer! They had a couple of dollar beer options like hite, miller lite, etc. They seem to have different specials every day. Around 9, they had a DJ playing outside on the stage and it got super loud. My friends had to scream at each other in order to hear what we were saying, but the music was definitely a little more quiet inside. Everyone was having a great time, and I would definitely come here again for more beer! I will say that it gets super busy on Tuesdays, because of the deals. Great spot that is very relaxed and chill. Moved here from California seven years ago and am glad to find a local bar to hangout that is also very safe. Never seen any issues there unlike other places I have gone to off the 1604. They have live music and Karaoke on some nights and now a giant screen TV outside for sports. Saturday night fun with friends. Beer, music and a patio with enough tables for everyone. There isn't a ton of seating inside, but the outside more than makes up for it. The bar is open to both the outside and the inside, with a stage for live music outside. Only had a beer, so I don't know that their mixed drinks are like.
