I have been using Dr. Lawyer as my optometrist for many years. I get an annual eye exam and have purchased a number of glasses and sunglasses. I have always received exceptional service from their staff doing so. Recently, I suffered an eye injury and needed to get an appointment as soon as possible. They were able to squeeze me in between appointments and made sure I was seen ASAP. I wasn't left waiting long at all. After seeing Dr. Lawyer, he diagnosed me with an abrasion and treated me. Due to the experiences I've had with my previous optometrist for the past 5 years I had decided to find a new one. I am glad I came across yelps review in finding the right optometrist for my son. The office was very friendly and accommodating. Trisha was very helpful getting my son an appointment for his yearly eye exam and contact fitting on the same day. They had the best price for contact fitting which was $25 compared to other offices that charged $60. They were also in network with our vision plan. Bianca was very patient with my sons contact fitting and very helpful in choosing the right eye glass frame nor was she pushy unlike most offices to spend on high quality frames. We both had a good experience from start to end. It was a far drive 36 minutes, however, it was well worth it. We definitely would recommend this office read more

Sometimes the one star reviews you see can are from insurance issues, miscommunications, or things that are out of the control of the staff and the doc. I only write for Dr. Lawyer because I feel his practice is truly great. I guess I just like private practices over corporate practices because it's a little more personal. It's just my opinion/preference, and I can vouch for Dr. Lawyer and his staff for being warm, personal, and professional. I found his office through my insurance company mainly because I saw they were open on Saturdays. Upon walking in, you're greeted by the front desk staff. They're friendly, helpful, and inviting. I came a little early (30 min) to take a look at frames before my appointment, so I had a good idea of a few frames I wanted. If you're going to get glasses, definitely come just a bit early to check out some styles. Everything from sign in to actually seeing the doctor was pretty quick. I think it was about 15 min from signing in to seeing the doctor. The doctor himself takes the time to explain your diagnosis and he has good bedside manner. I think something that this office does that makes them stand out is the staff training and flow. The price breakdown after insurance was explained to me, and options were given when it came to my glasses (digital, AR, etc). Overall, the office runs smoothly, the staff is professional and helpful, and the doctor is informative and personal. I highly recommend Dr. Lawyer if you're looking for an optometrist. read more

I just went to Dr. Lawyer today for the first visit and I will not be going anywhere else for an optometrist. The practice is inviting and clean, the office staff are so nice and the Dr. is great. The staff were well informed of what was included in my insurance benefits, the Dr. was very thorough and determined to find the right prescription as well as to inform me of all my options with contacts (which is what I always wear). The last Dr. I had been going to for years always had a "contact lens fitting fee" which I thought was some standard charge but there was so such fee here. The office staff is warm, friendly and efficient! All together I was in and out of the office in about 30 minutes. Dr. Lawyer himself is great. He greeted me with a "so what's up?", which I found funny and actually quite comforting. He cracked jokes along the way, but still maintained his professionalism. Some people may be a little put off by this but I think it adds to the "experience", if you would call it that. Just lighten up and go with it! It has got to mean something to want to go back to a doctor's office because of the incredibly nice staff (in particular, Debra, at the front desk) and awesomeness of the doctor, even AFTER getting LASIK surgery in 2011. My eye sight started receding recently, and I immediately thought of my old eye doctor (Dr. Lawyer) to get things checked out. Very efficient and friendly. I had a full eye exam but didn't need to have my eyes dilated since pupils were large enough already. Most offices dilate no matter what. Dr. Lawyer spent a good amount of time explaining everything to me and made sure my prescription was my best correction. Prescription is good for two years. Most optometrists only give you one year. Me and my husband were in and out in less than an hour. Waited to be called back for about 5 minutes, even less for the doctor. The new patient paperwork is one simple page!! I have never seen that at any doctors office. Very happy with this office!! read more
