I have been going to Dr. Barakat for the last 20 years, and I have ALWAYS felt safe and secure in his office. His staff is all so friendly and professional. He always asks about my daughter and husband who also see Dr. B. I had terrible childhood experiences with the dentist, but I have continually felt safe and reassured by his kind words and bedside manner. I am so grateful that his staff and clients are following safety guidelines. I had to go in for a filling concern, and all COVID precautions were in place. I have a household full of people with "high risk" concerns, and it was so reassuring to see that his office was adhering to the rules... Best dentist I've ever had. Typically, going to the dentist = pain/suffering/fear. Not here. This is the most gentle and caring dentist that has ever worked on my teeth. I've experienced the brutality of military dentists, and have had major anxiety about going to the dentist. The staff here is kind, and Dr. Barakat does his best to get you in and out fast. He's given me a few fillings, and repaired some of the work I had done in the military. I never even felt the needle. If you hate the dentist, see Dr. Barakat. He'll take care of you. read more

The office and Doctor make sure our time is just as important as their time. The office is extremely clean and they ensure all Covid precautions are taken. Office staff failed to communicate with me concerning my appointment time and I was forced to wait for over an hour and a half If a patient showed up to an appointment that late he would be charged for it. I have a horrible fear of the dentist. It's bad enough that I waited 6 months before making an appointment after I lost a filling. I originally tried western dental (stay away!) and I can't even explain how horrible that was. I found Dr. Barakat while looking for dentists that accept my crappy insurance. I was terrified going in but I was instantly put at ease by his staff. Everyone in the office was very friendly and professional. Dr. Barakat is amazing as well. Two fillings and I felt little pain after. The novocaine shots didn't hurt at all which seems impossible to me... But he did it. There was almost zero wait time, he is a very kind and calming dentist, and he did my work efficiently keeping my time in the chair to 20 mins or less. He has even gone out of his way to save one of my teeth even though it meant less money in his pocket. Definitely recommend Dr Barakat. He is amazing. read more

Wait time is always 15 minutes at minimum even when I had an appointment. I had an appointment on Monday for a cleaning. I was in at 4:25 for my scheduled 4:30 appointment, was taken back at about 4:45 and out by 5. What kind of cleaning lasts 10-15 minutes? I called yesterday and communicated that I was unhappy and that I wanted a refund back to my policy, so I could go elsewhere for a cleaning. The reception refused and was very rude and snappy. I'm now working with my dental insurance to get the charges reversed. Extremely disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

I have had mostly negative experiences with Dentistry in my life. However, the appointment that I had with Dr. Barakat yesterday was truly amazing! I needed a tooth pulled, but it turned into oral surgery due to decay on the root as well as cracks. That made me very nervous, because I had it done before and it was a horrific experience with terrible pain. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I experienced no pain, very little swelling and did not even need to take anything for the pain afterwards or the next day. I didn't even have a dull ache the next morning when I woke up. To me, that is a testament that he not only knows what he is doing, but he is a perfectionist at what he does. That is very rare to find! During the experience, he was very reassuring. He told me each step as he went along, and I was so surprised how quickly he completed removing all of the pieces of tooth. I went in and while working on cleaning my teeth and another tooth problem-he kept saying to himself slow down as if-well he did a 5 minute cleaning. Then he said I had a tooth problem on the right side, to come back in a week. He drilled quickly and then proceeded to walk to the door and I gave him the right index finger come back, and then he said too high and came back two more times and then hit a nerve=the whole time kept talking to himself to slow down. need I say more. This is a great dentist to see your whole family . The reception staff was very friendly and polite. Getting an appointment for the three of us was easy. Dr. Barakat was everything you'd want in a dentist: thorough, gentle, easygoing and doesn't push for unnecessary procedures. It was my four year old son's first trip to the dentist, and Dr. Barakat put him at ease, and was very kind. I will be returning next week to get my cavities filled. I went to have a molar extracted and he was very gentle and very kind in regards to my pain and everything else. The assistants that work with him were really nice and very quick when they were taking my xrays and doing other work. They made me feel very relaxed and they made sure I was comfortable. I'm a 58 year old male and I've never been more impressed with a dentist office in my life. I would recommend him highly to anybody that needs dental work. I was a customer service rep for over 30 years and I was quite impressed with their customer service. He even called me the next day to check up and make sure everything was going well and that was amazing.
