The staff is reliable, friendly, and professional and they have the most thorough and gentle staff I've ever experienced. I once had to have multiple cavities filled, and I kid you not, the dentist was so gentle I fell a sleep in the chair! I WAS SOLD AFTER THAT! My father had to have an emergency procedure done, and couldn't get an appointment with his normal dentist; Marconi was able to take him the very next day! I can't speak highly enough about Dr Visage and his Staff. Very friendly, welcoming and Dr Visage explained everything in detail before the procedure so I knew what to expect and was very calm. I had a minor issue after and Dr Visage called and asked me to come right down and he took care of it the same day. Now that is great service. I've been to a lot of Dentists and the quality of Dr Visage work is far superior. I know he recently took over this practice and has made a lot of improvements including having his own flat rate agreement to care for your teeth, and not bill for each procedure. When he was doing an implant for me, he also saw a cavity and fixed it immediately without an extra appointment. I hate dentists, been traumatized, and inflicted, and I can go years without a visit because of my horrible past experiences. Not here. Here they listen. The best part was not just having patience to hear my apprehension about seeing a dentist but actually going the extra mile to make me comfortable. From the entrance, you walk into this serene space that makes you feel like you're checking in to a 5 star resort in Playa del Carmen, and the ocean awaits you behind the walls. The receptionist is very pleasant and I mean very, organically. There's coffee and tea to enjoy. The staff call you to comfortable space to begin work. You can watch your favorite channel for entertainment or to manage anxiety. On my first visit, I had a root canal/crown replacement, something of the sort. It was 2 hours of just pure relaxation. I did NOT do the laughing gas or take any narcotics, just local anesthesia. Dr Huiras is God's dentist. He has to be. He listened, made sure I got the right amount of anesthesia, and best of all, this is very important, he told me what he was doing every step of the way that helped with my anxiety. I am 43 years old and have been to several dentists in my life span, and this is without question my very best experience. My boyfriend had several holes in his teeth from various cavities. We came in after being quoted $2,000 from another dentist. Not only was everyone extremely professional but helpful as well. They follow HIPPA well(which is very important for confidentiality) They're respectful of budgets and try to help as much as they can. I picked this one because it was close to home and all I needed was an annual exam and cleaning. I read all of the negative reviews on line while I was waiting in the lobby. The lobby was very shabby with a few scattered stackable chairs. It was an hour before I was called in, which is typical of every dentist office I've ever been to. When I was called in I found the exam rooms to be surprisingly pristine and modern. The equipment was clean and looked fairly new. The tech who took my X-rays was courteous and professional. Absolutely horrendous office staff! The two dentists are amazing, but the office staff are horrible. They have been trying to contact me by contacting the wrong phone number! I have no idea who's phone number this is & I told them to correct the phone number which they did, but continued to contact the wrong number. Last week they cancelled my cleaning appointment and did not let me know. I have a busy school and work schedule, and when I arrived at my appointment on time they told me they have been trying to reach me AT THE WRONG PHONE NUMBER! I told them to change my phone number to the correct one, and they said they did. They made me an appointment for the following week. They then continued to call and send remind texts to the wrong phone number! I called them today to find out that I did in fact have an appointment, but now I will be charged $50 for the cancellation fee. Even when they kept calling/ texting the wrong phone number after I told them I had no idea who's number that was. I will not be continuing my care here after this cancellation fee is addressed. read more

Invisalign new-patient consultation review: TL;DR: Pros: - Very friendly front staff - Dentist didn't seem like he was in any rush and seemed very knowledgeable in terms of how my teeth would straighten over time - Reasonable Invisalign quote (based on the quotes I've received from other places in the area) Cons: - Dental assistant who did the scans/photos/etc. seemed like she was not having it on the day that I went (she seemed a bit exhausted/agitated); felt a bit uncomfortable, mentally, throughout most of the appointment - Dentist didn't acknowledge my overbite at all ---------- New year, new teeth (more like in terms of teeth straightening) so I've been visiting some dental offices in the area that offer Invisalign. Decided to check this place out in particular as it was listed on the Invisalign website as a "reputable" local dental office that offers it. Upon arrival, I saw no one at the front desk; the office layout is kinda weird because the room behind it is the actual "front desk" where there is a group of staff using computers. Anyway, after filling out the given forms I was guided to a patient chair by one of the dental assistants. At first the lady seemed nice, but into the appointment she seemed a bit exhausted or agitated about something (I hope it wasn't because of me!); definitely didn't help my dental office anxiety. Turns out that she is still in training on providing service to Invisalign patients, at least as far as consultations go, as she was aided by someone else specifically when she was trying to take photos of my teeth. I'm totally fine on the fact that she's still learning, but not gonna lie, I felt the most uncomfortable here in my appointment as the trainer seemed very stern on taking the correct photos (and I'm sure that she didn't help with the main dental assistant's mood either). I mean, yes, I understand that taking the photos correctly is the goal here, but the trainer's attitude and how she spoke in general made me feel like a specimen more than an actual patient. Anyway, I eventually met Dr. Fischer. Very professional, matter-of-fact, guy. Was in no rush either. He walked me through the scan of my teeth informing me how it could be straightened over time. One thing that I was a little concerned about from the conversation though is that he didn't address my overbite at all; he informed me that bands weren't needed (orthodontists from previous Invisalign consultations informed me that I would need bands due to my overbite). The Invisalign website indicates that this office in general is deemed one of the more "Invisalign-experienced" providers in the area (according by the number of Invisalign patients serviced), not one particular dentist/orthodontist, and the Marconi Dental Group website doesn't indicate which dentists in the office specialize in Invisalign, so I'm unsure on how many Invisalign cases Dr. Fischer specifically has received. Invisalign quote here isn't bad at all compared to the quotes I've been given at other places. One of the front desk ladies helped me understand all of the financial parts of this whole thing; she addressed all of my questions and was very patient and easy to talk to when doing so (the front desk ladies were great in general by the way, very nice ladies). Hmm, overall good candidate in terms of where to get Invisalign, but I'm still exploring my options in the area. read more

Beware Beware Beware! I recently changed from a premier dentist to Marconi Dental Group and will not visit this office again. Before starting service with Marconi Dental, I spoke to the insurance verification staff, and gave them my Delta Dental insurance information and requested that my benefits be verified, and prior authorization obtained prior to recieving any services. I was assured my co-pay was verified and all services were prior authorized. Unfortunately, not only was I lied to about the providers contractual status wth Delta Dental at the time the services were rendered, but non- authorized panoramic xrays were also performed unnecessarily prior to meeting the dentist. As a result of not obtaining prior authorization, these xrays were not covered by Delta Dental. Consequently, I have recieved a $300.00 bill. After much stress and several conversations with Marconi Dental, they finally agreed to write this charge off. I read other reviews prior to visiting Marconi Dental with similar comments and experiences as my situation, which leads me to believe, that this is probably a common billing practice by Marconi Dental. I made the mistake of trusting Marconi Dental practice wth my dental care, regardless of their poor reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, they are profit driven and care very little about the patient experience! I can only hope that the elderly or unsuspecting patient reads this review prior to obtaining services wth this Dental group. Although the staff was polite and friendly during the numerous calls to their office in my effort to resolve this gregarious bill, I felt like I was in a car dealership rather than a professional office. $$$$$ Do not trust the friendly smiles and appearance, and make sure you call your insurance provider to confirm anything that this office quotes you prior to obtaining services! read more

Marconi Dental Group - Gorgeous and festive office! - General Dentistry Near Me - Carmichael, California

I recently relocated to the area and thought instead of finding a small dental practice, like the one I've been going to for decades, I would look for a practice where almost all work could be done "in-house," eliminating the need for most referrals. I found this practice on Yelp. It received GREAT reviews, so I decided to give it a try. To begin with the customer service is very good. All of the employees are courteous and kind, from the receptionist to the RDA to the Hygienist to the Dentist. My issue comes down to the practice stating they can do a specific treatment plan and then reversing their position because they will make less profit. I went for an initial evaluation for an extraction, following a root canal that couldn't save my tooth. Marconi wanted to do all my preventive work on this visit (undoubtedly so they could bill my insurance for as much as possible). The endodontist sent a report stating there was work that "needed" to be performed and other work that "should" be done. After looking into my double Delta insurance coverage, Marconi would only follow through with the treatment we discussed if I would add another procedure (1/2 of the recommendations from the specialist), costing me hundreds of dollars out of pocket. The issue is not the cost. The issue is the fact that we discussed a treatment plan that would meet my needs, and they backed out! Money of course being the driving force. I'll be going back to the specialist. Bigger isn't always better! read more

This place has SCAMMED me, my family and people I know!!! MULTIPLE TIMES! I'm so disappointed that it has come to this and I'm forced to write this review...I have been a patient here for a couple years now despite the reputation they have...all my family and friends told me to stay away due to their experiences and I figured I'll give them a chance anyway since the location was convenient to me and I liked my hygienists. On my last visit, I was told I will be charged an amount for a couple fillings, which I agreed to and signed. I was later charged DOUBLE the amount! Let alone, they also tried to charge me for my dental cleaning which should be 100% free since I rejected additional services. When I talked to the staff, they said they will review the problem and call me back. 4 days later I finally get a call and even though they admit this was their mistake, they still refused a partial refund. I tried to explain to them multiple times that I did not agree to the amount they charged me and if I knew that's how much they're going to charge me, I would've skipped the service. The "manager" continued to grill me on paying and threatening that she will send me to collections. I was so upset but to maintained professional and calm with her but she was being very rude in return. I told her there is no reason to argue because she will never accept the fact that this is a problem I shouldn't be held accountable for. I told her to speak with the doctor and get back to me. Never got a call back. The service I received was also not the best. I had to go back a second time because they did not shave my teeth all the way and my bite was wayyyy offf which made it very painful. I was sore for 3 full days and could barely chew or open my mouth. After the dental assistant was done with the fillings, the doctor didn't check her work which was very weird to me...usually dentists always check before you leave the office. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS. it's not worth it to get tricked into emptying your pocket and receiving bad service. Then he did something almost no dentist would ever do: he rearranged his personal schedule to come into the office the very next morning, on his day off no less, to take care of me personally! WOW! For starters, it doesn't feel genuine. We were given a tour upon arrival and there was a wall of certificates next to another wall of mission work pictures. Some may be impressed, but others like me find these efforts suspicious. We had already encountered the doctors in passing but it was almost robotic the way they avoided any eye contact. Then we were led to complete some paperwork with water bottle gifts and letters with BOTH of our names misspelled. I let it go and try to be appreciative of the extra perks in exchange for solicited reviews. So, how was the actual service? Slightly annoying to schedule appointments. Apparently they weren't able to integrate systems correctly and we were getting texts, emails, and calls to confirm each other's appointments. We thought paperwork would resolve any confusion but nope! Even after all the excessive communications, we weren't seen at the same time (which was why we arranged for a babysitter). One staff came out and said, "we'll take him back first then call her shortly"... One HOUR later, another staff said, "oh looks like we can get you in a little earlier than planned!" Huh?? It also took a while to get my x-rays taken and RE-taken. But the most ridiculous part came later during cleaning, a suction thing was propped hanging in the back my mouth. Then minutes later, I was asked if I bit my own inner cheek because there was "trauma" and they would need to monitor it on my file. My Delta Dental Statement does not state "This is Not a Bill" anywhere, because IT IS THE BILL. Clearly you are overcharging Delta Dental and the customers. The total cleaning charged is $362 and the PATIENT PAYS portion of this standard cleaning is $160. Next time be nicer to your paying customers, and own up to the that fact that your billing process SUCKS. It would have been easier for me to delete my first review, than to read your insulting response and reply to it. Your response will likely lose more customers than my review will.
