Dr. Habashy and his oral surgery assistant Shannon were wonderful. No pain at all. If you need a great oral surgeon I highly recommend them.

I will be updating this review as my treatment progresses over the next (I assume) about a month…read more So a bit of background first. I've previously experienced laser dentistry, however it was out of pocket and I had some help from family at the time (charge would have been the same regardless of the laser). Ever since, I've wanted to have that same experience again (no shots no whiiiiiiiine of the drill). Fast forward a few years and I'm back in Sacramento and need a new dentist. Once I acquire insurance that will allow me to see anyone I want, I go looking for a laser dentist in the Sacramento area. I come across Dr. Alexander's website and everything I read just sounds like what I'm looking for so I make the appointment. I had my first appointment today 2-8-11 which consisted of the standard x-rays and checking out the teeth for cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. Dr. Alexander was completely amazing. Every question answered and I really felt at ease the whole time. Her answers made sense and I really felt like I was being taken care of as an individual as compared to the last dentist I had to see when I was stuck on my employer's HMO dental plan for the last two years. Combining Dr. Alexander's "bedside manner" (as it applies to a dentist) along with the laser technology which I've been seeking ever since I first experienced it I'm actually going to look forward to going to the dentist even if I DO end up having to have something filled or some other procedure that might normally be dreaded. EDIT 2-24-11: Had my cleaning today. It's honestly hard to compare "gentleness" and comfortability levels to my previous ones because I've needed deep cleanings in the past and didn't today. However I was definitely impressed by being taught what now seems like some basic stuff by my hygienist that I had no idea about before from any other trip to the dentist chair. The cleaning itself was very thorough and I'm definitely happy with it. EDIT 3-9-11: Had the rest of my treatment a few days ago, a few fillings in 3 different areas of my mouth. Definitely a much nicer experience than the usual due to the Waterlase "drilling". (Usually 3 areas is att least two visits because they don't like to numb both sides) I had to have one tooth numbed because of where the cavity was at, and even that was not bad at all. Nothing on the rest of the mouth because the Waterlase is able to do it with no pain in most cases. I barely felt anything from the needle though I'm not sure if that's just because of where it was at. The fillings matched my teeth exactly and I can't even tell there is anything there unless I really look very close. Again, definitely recommend Dr. Alexander to anyone looking for a dentist.

Great dentist. Kind, caring, and gentle. The staff is great! My forever dentist. Give her office a…read moretry.

I must say, whoever the new management group is finally has got this place running extremely well,…read moreand has EXCELLENT service with very talented and patient professionals. It's not the most affordable service, but it is definitely on par with other dental groups in the area. The big bonus is that they have enough staff and resources to book appointments that are within days - not weeks. Things are done correctly the first time, and when they I did have an issue they made time that same afternoon to get me in and taken care of. I really appreciate this. I have now been going there for a year and had a crown and a replacement and both times they have done an excellent job and have delivered on time. The new management team is to be commended. I abandoned this place 6 years ago because it was just hopeless and ended up driving across town just to get decent service that was delivered correctly and I was paying a premium for it. The front office works well, coordinates and keeps appointments and works with me to get things done. They actually listen and follow through. It's a definite change for the positive. Thanks to Dr. Wong and team for putting up with me being a bit high maintenance. I appreciate you and your team!

I've been going to various dentists at this office for about 3ish years now. I randomly developed…read morehigh dental anxiety after I started coming to this office (not to blame them). As a 28 year old who has been to the dentist for cleaning every 6 months for over 20 years, I don't know why this started. I have been very open about my dental anxiety with this office and I know it is listed on my patient profile as well. My anxiety is so intense that they usually only do the bare minimum for cleaning, because that's all I can handle. I've never been prescribed anti anxiety medication for these appointments. They are not very compassionate towards my feelings when I come in. This is the only office that has ever pushed me to remove my wisdom teeth. As I finally decided to, I was told I would be put under general anesthesia. When I got there for the procedure, I was told 5 minutes before the procedure, that I would not be completely under or asleep the whole time. As someone who already has serve anxiety, this was super scary and I had no time to prepare. I woke up multiple times throughout the wisdom teeth removal and was in intense panick mode. When I woke up after the procedure was completed the nurse who was in the room with me, excessively repeated "breath through your nose and open your eyes" in frustrated/rude tone. I was trying to breath through my nose but was struggling to stop hyperventilating at the same time. And my eyes were already open. I tried to clam down so I could leave as soon as possible. I felt that while this office may be good for the general patient, if you have any sort of elevated dental anxiety, I would NOT recommend coming here. They just don't seem to be as compassionate as I wish they would be and they almost seem annoyed that I experience this uncontrolable anxiety. I cannot speak on their services because I feel mine are done a bit differently than the average persons (due to the anxiety that I experience)
