Came back a few years later and just as good as we remembered. Ordered at the counter and food brought out in 10 min. Love the garlic chicken and pork lumpia

We came here because it was close to our hotel in Kaanapali. Food was basic/ a little bit on the oily side but not bad. Service was order up at front the guy was very nice. Ambiance is the food court at Whalers Village. I probably wouldn't come here again as there was hair in my food. The nice guy that was working was very apologetic and refunded our whole breakfast.

Came here a tad before closing and decided to try out the loco mocos. The food was good, packed with overloaded amount of rice and not enough gravy. I doubt it was worth the $20 price tag but I overall enjoyed the meals.

Love the food here, fast service and very flavorful. We had the Mahi tacos today. Very good flavor, but they are a little spicy so bring some water to the feast.

Just wanted a light breakfast and decided to try this place out since it was near our resort. Surprisingly the best Loco Moco I've ever eaten. The flavor of the sauce was yummy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only complaint is the overcooked potatoes for my son's breakfast. The friendly service was lacking but whatever since I'm ordering takeout. Not much seating is available inside and there are a few outdoor tables.

Whole family came to this high end plaza for fast food, and we ended at this place. It locates at the mini food court, which has five different counters -- Maui poke, Italian food, American food, joey's kitchen and one more ( forgot the name) . We ended up with one four cheese pizza for the boy from the pizza station . And we got Pork Adobo plate and Loco-moco. For the loco moco lacks of the taste, no highlight in the plate-- good carb and portion for hungry stomach. For the Pork adobo plate, it is way too much salt for me, each bite pork need two or three spoons rice to neutralize the salty flavor. Portion wise is great. And the location is great for kids, next to a mini kid playground.

Located inside the dining hall downstairs! They opened a little earlier than 4pm. The guy there is working both the cashier and making the food in the back (I'm pretty sure, bc he is hustling from the front and back). He quickly took our order and answered any questions we had and rushed to the back to pump out the other orders. I'd say the food came out in a timely manner. We got the fish tacos ($20), the fish was beautifully seared/grilled & very fresh. The slaw was tossed in this delicious sauce! Perfect combo with the fish. We asked for the spicy sauce on the side. A bit too pricey for 3 fish tacos I'd say; but the food was very delicious. The indoor dining hall isn't too fancy. Looks a little run down, there's a few other shops in there, didn't look too packed either. However, it was a Monday early afternoon.

We ordered the adobo fried rice and loco moco. Portions are good for sharing, but we felt that the food overall was a bit too salty for our taste. Prices are a bit more budget-friendly than the other dine-in options at Whaler's Village.

Honestly Joey's Kitchen was one of my favorite highlights during my recent trip to Maui. It's a great, no-frills Hawaiian and Filipino spot in the food court area at Whaler's Village that is a warm-welcomed escape from the sit-down and touristy price-inflated restaurants. Plus it's indoors with air-conditioning but also has outdoor seats too. The garlic shrimp I had was incredible--so flavorful with just the right amount of garlic, lemon, and cilantro that I came back the next day and got the same thing. My friend also loved his dishes at the Joey's Kitchen too. The food here is homely and delicious. Again, given this is a no-frills spot, it's not a fair comparison like some of the other reviews are doing in my opinion to subconciously compare it to the more famous restaurants in the area. If you're already staying in this area and looking for a simple, quick, and flavorful bite--which is a rare find in this tourist resort area of the island--look no further than Joey's Kitchen!

Everything we tried was absolutely delicious! This Filipino fusion cuisine absolutely hits the spot and satisfies all your cravings. During our time in Maui, we couldn't resist buying their food every single day--it was that good! I enjoyed every dish we sampled, and honestly, I can't choose a favorite. Each one brought a unique twist that was both comforting and exciting. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend trying it out--you won't be disappointed!

We got food from here 3 days in a row while staying next door. The food was just so yummy. I had garlic chicken for dinner which I'm not sure what I expected but it was PHENOMENAL. Crispy chicken, covered in sauces and sides of rice and mac salad were a nice touch. Then we went back for breakfast and had their breakfast burrito. This thing is so fat the first day it took me over an hour to finish it and the next day I had half and then the other half for lunch.

Good pork burger and fries! Really appreciate the frys cooked in clean oil (some places you can tell use same oil for days). Wait time was less than 10 min after ordering. Lots of seating in the plaza.

Food was delish! Service was pretty fast. Inside the whalers food court so good amount of seats no or if you wanna eat on the beach. They are closing soon!

Food here is not very good. Pancakes are meh. Too sweet. Fresh mahi mahi is okay. Short rib hash is super oily and has a lot of fat in it.

Although they had hours that where I listed, we missed them the first time because they put up a sign that said back @ 5. The second time we caught them, it was right before they put up the back at 5 sign, and I think that's why the sisig was super tough and chewy - we got the bottom of the pot sisig haha. Anyhow, happy to report the chicken was very tasty. The fry was light, the seasoning on point and the portion was sizable. Both were plated on top of a banana leaf, which I thought was great presentation. Overall I would say it was okay, probably not something we'd hit up again, but glad we tried it!

We had a sampling of dishes last night and each were amazing. - Adobo ribs are a must try. - Vietnamese crepe is a sleeper hit. It's a crispy crepe with a coconut milk forward mix of meat and shrimp. My mother has pretty advanced Alzheimer's and takes a long time to eat; when I let the GM know that I thought his time allowed was too short and not handicap friendly, he was SO offended and started arguing with me in front of all his customers He said "that was the way they do things"... and that "it's ok, we get many bad reviews." I was so appalled!!! Such a shame, I loved their tuna avo! I don't think the food is worth the rushed service, (their cocktails are also lackluster) but they do have a nice location by the water with pretty sunset. If corporate management changes the policy to make it a more leisurely experience, it could be worth returning. But right now this is such a rushed, high turnover diner experience, not to mention the manager's way of handling customer feedback is rather shocking. 10/20/2026 Updated review based on restaurant's response Thank you for your response but I can't fathom going back to your restaurant after this incident. When I shared my experience with friends in hospitality, food industry, or just simple restaurant goers, everyone was appalled at: 1) the short time allotment per table of 1 hour and 15 minutes as repeatedly stated by your manager (he adamantly said he would show me stacks of receipts of tables being turned over at the duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes, and that was the way "we do business at Star Noodle") 2) the way I was treated as a customer. The fact that Star Noodle has someone at managerial level to not know the basic table time allotment of 2 hours, as you shared, tells me either he's very incompetent (and the company made a mistake hiring him/neglected to train him) or you are lying. Either scenario is not good for the company or your customers. I appreciate the response but unless you replace this gentleman or somehow thoroughly train him in both knowledge and customer experience, I don't see how things can improve.
