LA Fence Craft

Termites started our troubles & Shades of Nature fixed it all…read more We bought our home in 2000 and our beautiful olive tree lived in this neighborhood for 60 years. Over the years this tree was the back drop for many family moments ie.prom, and Easters, and its even still on Google maps picture of our address. (They haven't updated it obviously.LOL). Until termites and squirrels attack it causing a slow death. After the tree was cut & the stump ground out. This removal left a huge hole. The new "hopeful" design my husband and I talked about included fencing off the newly landscaped yard. We shopped online and visited the big hardware companies to no avail. Then we wanted to keep the business local and called LA Fence Company. The sales staff at the showroom in Duarte were very knowlegeable and encouraging. From start to finish, Mike S. and staff were accountable, timely, and completely professional. All of his workers treated our property with respect and care and attention to detail. The new fence install took 2 weeks as promised. And the finished outcome is simply outstanding. We live int he middle of the block our home is a standout from the work done. The fence adds a sharp modern & clean curb-appeal to our home that is both modern and handicap accessible for our elderly mother who has a walker. I am still in awe with what they have done to improve our LIVES and HOME. Please trust & give this company your business. Enjoy the pictures of this summer's yard transformation and now Fall decorations. This fence gift keeps on giving Blessings To All & Thank you to Mike & Friends P.S Masonry & Landscape done by Shades of Nature Company

I have depended a lot on reviews/pics from yelpers so I need to post when a business was good or…read morebad. Or kinda good or kinda bad. The fences are nice and look like the pics on the reviews. The issue in my case is installation and customer service. They broke one of my recently installed pavers (never told me). The metal portion of 1 of 3 gates had a lot of visible deep scratches, and they left an outlet box just dangling instead of properly installing it. I also noticed they didn't install stoppers behind each door. Didn't know I had to ask for that or that they didn't provide them. Imagine spending thousands on 3 beautiful doors just so when they open, they smack on stucco or walls? I made a deal with Mark (he comes out to give you an estimate) it cost me $100 to have my paver guy fix the damage. Add 3 stoppers to the gates and I'll call it even. He said ok. They came out and installed one. Mark has been bs'ing me for months and they haven't came out to add the remaining two. I've called the main office and no luck. I know if I would've waited on paying they would've been done a long time ago. And to be fair they did come out and covered up the deep scratches a bit. You can still see them but not as noticeable. The electric box was also installed properly. Make sure you look at your doors and gates closely before you pay because trying to get them to come out can be difficult and Mark might tell you it will be handled and never will. Their prices are fair and competitive but their installation and customer service could use some work and maybe other estimates on your behalf. See pictures. Oh and I sent them a lock to install prior to them coming out to install. I should've checked that too before they left. The electronic door lock doesn't work. I've tried taking it apart and figuring it out but does not work. My fault I guess for not checking.

We had no idea what a gem we had with the teak wood finish until we met with Tim from Teak Master. He assessed our wood finishes, explained their process, and he provided a reasonable price for their work. The wood now looks fantastic, and the Teak Master team that came was professional, kept the site clean, and their work was amazing. We highly recommend Teak Master for your needs to rejuvenate your worn teak wood. We plan to continue to use them to keep our teak wood so beautiful long-term.

Our home has teak trim and architectural features. Many of the surfaces that get a lot of sun exposure needed work. Indy came out, evaluated what needed to be done, and Teak Master promptly sent an estimate. The senior crew supervisor was Indy, and our crew consisted of Andres, Arturo, Samuel, Abidan, and Juan. They were here for three days, sanding and refinishing the teak. As an example of their attention to detail, my wife has a lot of potted plants on the patio. It was no surprise that they moved all the potted plants out of the way. The surprise came at the end, when Indy took out his phone, looked at the photo he had taken three days earlier, and directed the crew as they put every plant back in its original position! Nobody else has ever done that. And, on the day the trash was collected, I left the barrels on the driveway, to give the crew more room in the side yard. After they left, the barrels were back where they belong. It's the little things. Although Indy and I had examined the house in advance to determine the scope of work, as they were wrapping up Indy looked at the garage doors and pointed out that after refinishing the other areas, the doors looked a bit shabby. He was right. I look forward to having them back in a few weeks.

They did an excellent job remodeling my chimney, installed an attic ladder in my ceiling so I can finally take advantage of the extra space in my attic, and built a beautiful wooden fence outside. Robin and his team were professional, hardworking, and did a fantastic job on everything. I'm extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Robin and Handyman Construction to anyone looking to remodel their home or needing any type of home improvement project. Great work!

Robin was made aware he was our first quote and we had several lined up throughout that next week. During that time my husband had emailed all plans we had from our HOA to Robin. On 9/7 we messaged him telling him we'd like to move forward if he could do it for the price we countered with. The following day on the 8th he accepted and stated "I'll get it written up in the next day or two." On Friday the 11th he reached out letting us know he had business in LA and would be very busy over the weekend but that he had questions so to be prepared. On Sunday the 13th I reached out asking for a contract by EOD. He let us know he would have it today the 14th and again he had questions so be prepared to answer them. After waiting a week for a contract to sign we decided to move on. He is unprofessional and rude. Just read for yourself the way he speaks to clients. Robin clearly cannot handle polite rejection. Robin, take your own advice next time and don't reply just move on.
