I ordered a 10 piece wing and received 9 wings. In this economy that was very disappointing!

We very rarely order from here its always a bad experience but We ordered from here tonight for dinner. We got ranch wings and mild buffalo. They were supposed to be well done extra crispy they were not. They were rubbery and cold. My son had a meatball parm on toasted bread he said it was good. We ordered a calzone with meatballs, onions and black olives. There was nothing in it! Zero and I mean zero mozzarella cheese and just a bit of cold ricotta. Toppings were sparse at best! This meal cost a whopping $56.00! I am so tired of paying hard earned money on sub par food and small portions! Never again! read more

During our spontaneous weekend drive to New Hampshire, I decided we gotta try New York style pizza. We just happened to be in Hyde Park getting gas and Joe Cristiano's might be the only place opened on this Sunday. I had a slice of cheese (around $2), my husband had a slice of bbq chicken pizza (around $3), we got a bottle of water ($2!) and a single meatball slider because why not. While the servers were all very nice, the food was very mediocre. Not surprisingly when you order by the slice it is just reheated- which is usually ok when reheated properly. However our slices of pizza were maybe warm (questionably), and while the meatball was hot, the garlic knot that it was placed in was so cold that I questioned if it was refrigerated and just served. The three stars was for the basic qualifications that i have for any diner - the food satisfied my hunger, service was good to decent (and fast), and prices were all reasonable, but nothing outstanding that leaves me desiring more. I ordered a special request, and in a random moment of confusion the driver called stuff by the wrong name and we thought it was wrong......well it wasn't and it's amazing. Cold food, VERY small kid portions, and poor customer service. Had my order delivered today, which contained a cold pizza, cold and soggy meatball sliders, and three spaghetti kids meals with the smallest portion of spaghetti I have ever seen. I joined Yelp to write this review after the poor customer service I experienced. I called the restaurant as soon as the delivery person left and was passed along to someone named Atlantic. I explained my issue with the small portions for the kids meals and was told that everything was pre-portioned and he did not offer up an apology or any sort of resolution. I expected a smaller portion when ordering a kids meal, but clearly there was a mistake made with our order. I don't know what ages these kids meals are for (I asked Atlantic and he didn't know either), but in my experience it's usually 8 or 10 and under. All I know is that we cooked a different meal for two of our children, and my three year old ate the combination of the 3 kids meals. read more

I ordered 14 meatball sliders and one order fries for delivery was told 30-35 minutes an HOUR later I call and ask what's taking so long and they said the driver had left already and was on the way. 20 minutes later I call again to see where the driver is and to say I'm not paying full price (they made my $25 bill $22.63) he finally gets here as I hung up (I live 5 minutes down the road) and our food is disgustingly cold the garlic knots the for the sliders taste old and are hard the meatballs were like they were straight out of the fridge and not warmed just all together horrible. Dear Joe Cristiano's, When you severely burn a chicken cutlet, make a new one. I'll wait. Don't bury it under sauce and pasta and hope I don't notice it. You can't just shove your more embarrassing trash to the bottom of the garbage can and act like it never existed. We know you had that weird porno. Did you think I'd never make it down to the actual chicken part of the "chicken parm"? While the chicken parm special was inedible because of how severely burnt it was (and unfortunately, we were too hungry to make the 10-minute drive back to the restaurant), it also incorporated this bizarrely glue-y sauce The whole thing felt like it was not fresh at all - something reheated from someone else's abandoned meal. The manacotti was just fine, and also had a completely different, less terrifying sauce. So, it was a 50/50 experience. And if you're an Italian food place, make sure you stock some linguine! read more

Ordered a veggie gluten free pizza and it came with breaded eggplant on it. Doesn't say anything abt the eggplant being breaded on the website. Don't have to know much abt gluten free diets to get that we can't eat bread, duh. Not happy. Called them and they didn't even offer to make a new one or apologize for the oversight. After an hour and 15 minutes went by I called, and the man who answered the phone told me that my pizza was "just getting ready to come out of the oven and then his driver would be leaving". We love this place!!!!! We live in pleasant valley & they would deliver to us for FREE I don't know any pizza shops that do this. The pizza is delicious & I'm from the Bronx & I haven't found any place close well I have now. Also if you fold your slice it stands straight out not soggy no matter what's on your pie. We have had there wings, garlic knots, meatball sliders & chicken cutlet parmesan dinner the pasta was perfect everything is SO delicious . You can tell everything is fresh homemade. I have stopped here many times to grab a bite/slice. Food is OK. Good basic strip mall Italian fare. However, when I stopped by yesterday to pick up a couple of slices, not one of the three people behind the counter were wearing a mask. So wrong at this point in our time. I called ahead to see if they would deliver where I am and they do. I also asked if their sauce was vegetarian they said it is. And the delivery was quite quick however, most of my cheese has fallen off of my pizza. Now every slice I pull doesn't have cheese. Sorry to say I didn't have a good expierence with Christian o's! First they said they don't make stromboli's! Really! So ordered calazone with 2 kinds of meat, onions,peppers. And when the delivery guy came he fogot the 2 lt of soda! And asked him if he could bring it back he replied "theres no more deliveries on the board coming this way" really! Oh ok so now I paid $2.50 for soda I didnt get but he still took his tip! And to top it sll off the calazone Didn't have any cheese in it and the onions were Raw!!! Joe Cristiano's on Salt Point Turnpike is the best pizza place in the area. The pizza is great, mozzarella sticks, fries, calzones. Lots of options for a vegetarian such as myself, but I must admit the pepperoni pizza smells amazing, as do most of the other foods with meat. Have ordered from this salt point location several times and in the past has always been good or at least decent. Tonight we had a terrible experience. The sauce was completely different, what's usually a light tasting and (probably) homemade sauce as written on their menus was a dark lumpy fake processed sauce that ruined our pizza and everything else it was on. Why the change, I don't know but it was gross and the pizza was undercooked and mushy. I'm not sure if we are going to try again at some point but are so disappointed in what use to be our go to pizza place. read more

This is the best pizza place in the area by far. I love pizza, so I've gone to pretty much all the pizza places locally, and I have to say this is the best, with Gino's being second. The make an excellent white pizza. A lot of places tend not to season the white pizza, but being it has no sauce that already has seasonings, you really need to season it or it's bland, which they do. The cannoli's there are also really awesome, surprisingly good for a pizza place. they taste like they're from a bakery or something. They also have a gluten free pizza, so when my friend is over that doesn't eat delicious, delicious gluten, that is convenient. I would suggest Taking advantage of the coupons they have online, they save you a good amount of money. And the staff is always friendly about taking a coupon or when I order a special, unlike some places (not sure why some places put out coupons then get annoyed when you use them). They're also very accurate with the time frame when I call. I don't get told then minutes and then up waiting at the restaurant or for the delivery driver for another twenty minutes because the time frame was wrong. the drivers are always courteous. One of them, I asked for his name and he said "Bryan," was overly nice and accommodating, and I had a large, annoying order. He thanked me for the tip, something you don't always see (thank you doesn't cost anything, but some people act like it does). He went out of his way, but every driver from there has been nice. And their slices always taste fresh.. I'd bet they get made there every day, rather than reheated after the fact. So basically this place does a lot of the things most upstate New York places fail to do. In the city it isn't hard to get good pizza, but up here it can be. This is probably the closest you're going to get to real New York pizza around here. No complaints! read more

I ordered for the first time on Saturday night at 6:47, easy order of one pizza, garlic knots and mozzarella sticks, the guy told me it would take about an hour. That was fine because I've only heard good things about Joe Cristiano's Pizza. I finally got my pizza at 8:37, almost two hours later, all my food cold and they forgot the mozzarella sticks. I call the store and a girl answers and I told her they forgot my mozzarella sticks and she asks with a rude one if I'm sure I ordered them and told me to look at my receipt, I did order and pay for them. She then tells me 25 minutes and hangs up. No apology for leaving them out or that all my food is cold. 40 minutes later I finally got the mozzarella sticks. This is the worst service I've ever had and I hope no one else has to deal with this and I will never order from this place again. read more

Usually i don't go through the trouble of posting a review, but the experience I had over the weekend was so unbelievable I had to. Friday night I placed an order for 2 large pizzas, garlic knots, three pieces of cheesecake & a package of cookies. My first issue was the delivery took almost two hours. When he finally arrived he said due to issues with the storm he forgot the cheesecake and was going to go get it & bring it back. My mother being a very understanding person said it wouldn't be a problem. We waited another 2 hours for him to return with the missing items(which he didn't). With the bad storm we had, I completely understand things do come up & are completely out of your control, but this was just ridiculous. They apparently lost power, not informing anybody(the customers who paid & were never contacted about the fact that they weren't even going to get their order were probably just left in the dark) I wouldn't have known about any of it, until my nephew mentioned that he said the guy was going to get the cheesecake but failed to mention the missing cookies as well. We started to call, to save him two trips; but the line was out & there was no way to contact anybody. We even called the Hyde park location to see if they had any way to reach them, which they didn't. After waiting another hour, I finally decided that this was a joke and he either forgot about us(since we were probably his last stop) or was just blowing us off. So at the tail end of a storm, I had to go out of my way to locate the missing food. Now, like i said, it seems petty and i don't like to review places, but the reason it was such an issue was 1:We were waiting on him to eat dinner, thinking he was coming right back. and 2. We spent over $15 on deserts for a family party that night & our guests had to just sit and wait as well. Not only was it embarrassing, but a huge inconvenience. I drove to the store around 8, to find the building completely black. "Nobody was there & they were closed" but ironically their were about 5 cars, including the delivery guys' parked right out front. I knocked on the door, why? I don't know & obviously received no response. I made a remark loud enough, or maybe they can read it now about how instead of trying to contact the customers who are paying you their money for food, how pathetic it is to just close down & leave them waiting with no answer. I understand they lost power, but if I owned a business, I would make it a point to let those customers know something out of their hands happened(that way they have another option for dinner instead of waiting on them for hours) and would either reimburse them or make it right; not just go home and blow them off. They had no problem taking my money or a tip from my mother for someone who quite frankly did nothing. This whole ordeal ended with my mother calling the next day & being told she could come in for the food. Not knowing this until she was about to leave, I asked her why would she want food that clearly sat out all night? Her answer was she didn't want to be bothered with it anymore & I don't blame her. She brought back the cookies but the cheesecake, like I predicted, looked like it had been left out. The bottom was wet & soggy & it was so unappealing I refused to eat it. Sadly, I've never said a bad thing about this establishment, always good. My co-worker and I order all the time from them. I even recommended the place to our guests, clearly before this bullshit happened. One other thing I would like to note is in the 3 times i have recently ordered, I always find hair on my food. I pretty much hoped it was a mistake and wouldn't happen again but of course it did. I know someone from this place will reach out to rectify this with a comment & try to make it right; but with no apology the day after & all the other crap I dealt with,don't bother. Ironically, I came in to work today to tell my co-worker the story since we buy from them so much & the EXACT same thing happened to him that night as well. Although, he had to drive to an alternate location to fix his situation. It's sad when a place you usually have nothing but good to say about, becomes a place I will never recommend again. They've lost a customer in myself & about four other people they did this to as well, not to mention the people that were left out of any information at all & probably just waited for food that never showed up. I'd be embarrassed if I had loyal customers and this was how i treated them. Hopefully, others will see this & not have their night ruined by a place that is clearly incompetent & are only concerned that they get paid. Such a disgrace. read more

I have mixed feelings about Joe Cristiano's. On one hand when I have ordered pizza from them it has been fairly mediocre. On the other hand their wings, subs and rice pudding are great. If you just want pizza I would look elsewhere but for the other food one expects to find at a pizza place they are great. read more
