Sometimes at night it gets busy with families craving for crawfish but business was okay. However, this past weekend was craaazzzzyyyy! Love crawfish season! This place has super fast service and has consistent flavors and spice every time I go. Stumbled across this place a few months ago and this is my new holy grail for crawfish. If you like Boiling Crab, just come here, honestly not a fan of the 3 hour wait there and this place is just as good if not better! Definitely faster service that's for sure...so you are gonna get your food within 20-30 mins of less while everyone else is starving to death waiting in line at boiling crab. Also, they have a bunch of flavors to choose from which you can also just tell them to combine them all (which I prefer because it works really well together) and the spice is great!! I tried this place for the first time on Saturday March 12th, 2011. We wanted to try a new place, because we did not want to always drive to boiling crab dallas for fresh crawfish. Luckily we discovered this location after seeing the old cajun corner on cooper st. We googled the name and read the yelp review that this other location had better reviews. The crawfish here is very fresh. It is 6.99 per pound. You have three different flavors to choose from and three different levels of spiciness. I got the garlic butter extra spicy flavor. We also ordered cajun fries and fried pickles. It did not take too long for the food to come out, because it was not packed at all. They gave us each a dipping sauce for the crawfish, which is basically the juices the crawfish was soaking in. yum the fries and pickles were fresh and crispy. The crawfish was really good. They did serve the crawfish in appropriate plasic bags, and the good part was that the crawfish were not soaking in puddles of melted oily butter. The flavor was still all there which is always great. The menu also had other vietnamese dishes which is good for those who do not want to eat crawfish or other cajun foods. The service was good. They were very polite and friendly. You might have trouble understanding their broken english, but it's okay, we just pointed at what we wanted on the menu, so it was no biggie. My favorite crawfish place in Arlington!! Orchid city falls right after :) The flavors and spiciness are very consistent. I usually get all three flavors and the hot spicy level. I love how they cook it consistently, not too overcooked or undercooked. They will also give you a side of their sauce for dipping as well. The Cajun fries are average but still good to me (imagine McDonald-style fries with Cajun powder sprinkled on top). They also have a promo of buy 5lbs get one free, but ask the waiter first just to make sure! I would give this place five stars but the service is not too great. However, they will get you what you ask for. (Most of the time you'll have to grab their attention if you need something) It's really the typical Asian service like at pho restaurants. Buy 5 lbs get the 6th free! The crawfish sauce is garlicky and spicy and amazing. The sides are also very good with crisp piping hot fries as well as the usual potatoes and corn. We also had the oysters which were fresh and tasty. They also serve a limited menu of asian dishes with the fried rice being particularly tasty. BYOB, but prepare to get down and dirty. Every 5lbs ordered gets 1 lb free (at least when we were there) -it's BYOB - bring your own drank -If you're a messy eater like my friend Gerald..er..Andrew, bring Rubber Gloves and/or a bib. They have none to provide. -Plan on at least 90 minutes since those buggers take awhile to get full on. -The Crab-Legs are very very good and coated with the same spices. Recommended if you don't do mudbugs. -Xtra-Hot = Xtra-Hot. It's not as prevalent on the crawfish as it is on any potatoes or corn you may order to accompany it. I am also a fan of the seafood fried rice which is a great option for those who aren't into crawfish and Banh Canh Cha Ca (Vietnamese fish cake udon soup). Yay! We found a new crawfish joint!! We headed here on a late Sunday afternoon to get our fix because we didn't want to drive all the way to Dallas for crawfish. It was a pretty quiet afternoon with only 3-4 other tables that were filled but all the tables were there for the crawfish too. We ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, 1 pound of clams and 3 corn on the cobs between the both of us. We got our orders pretty quickly. I had my 2 pounds "all the way" and spicy. I like how they gave you a side of your sauce to dip your crawfish into. The crawfish was overall pretty good but next time, I may just have them combine the regular cajun and garlic butter together instead of having it "all the way." You know, the crawdads here are not too shabby! They're a good size right now (February 10, 2016) and the garlic butter/Cajun sauce that comes on the side is decent. This sad horrible the corn was soggy like it had been sitting in water, the potatoes were not fresh and one of them had a big black spot on it.
