    Undercarriage. Floppy

Located on Franklin Ave nr Prospect Park, BK Musuem, Botanic garden. I stopped by this local spot for a slice. Alessandro was maintaining the counter. I got a plain cheese slice which was $3.50. Cash or credit. Was piping hot when taken out of the oven and almost burned my face off. Poor undercarriage. No fold. Broke apart since it was so hot and the cheese fell off. OK neighborhood spot. Seating area inside with tables. And a clean bathroom.

They will not serve you pineapple on your pizza- as it should be

My mom and I stumbled upon Joe and Sals while we were in the area, for a quick lunch. Upon entrance, it was crowded, but we were helped quickly. There are stickers on the walls with notes from previous customers, which really brought a community feel. This is a pizza shop I feel like kids can grow up going to. One of the guys behind the counter is the son of the owners, so it's a true family-owned business. I have to say, this shop is as Brooklyn Italian as Brooklyn Italian gets. As far as the pizza, there's some pizza spots where I'm not as interested in eating the crust at the end- but with the two slices I got, I couldn't help but eat the whole thing. They were crisp and hearty, and stay put when you fold them instead of flopping down- which pizza buffs know is a sign of a high-quality slice. I got a classic margherita slice, as well as the spicy eggplant, which is topped with thin slices of baked eggplant and chili oil. It had the perfect kick to it while still staying true to its Italian roots. The spicy eggplant slice also had sesame seeds sprinkled on the crust, which just added to the taste of it- trust me when I say, this pizza is exceptionally delicious. (One more thing- don't come here looking for Hawaiian pizza- they care about their product and only serve real pizza!)

This place has quickly become my go-to neighborhood slice, and I genuinely look forward to stopping in every time. The pizza is consistently amazing -- Thin, crispy, hot, & so satisfying. It honestly reminds me of the pizza I grew up eating back home in Jersey, which makes it extra special for me What I love most is the variety; They always have such a great selection of slices, and sometimes I secretly hope they're a little low on plain cheese so I can try something new -- Bc every time I do, I end up loving it. The Caprese slice is especially delicious (and somehow feels lighter + fresher if you're trying to get some greens in) Beyond the food, the staff here is incredible. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, & clearly works really well as a team. On one visit, one of the guys working there noticed me and casually asked what I wanted to drink & brought me a water :') Such a small gesture, but it really meant a lot & made me feel so taken care of The space itself is cozy and inviting, and they recently renovated, which makes it feel even more open & comfortable. I love sitting in the back and looking at all the photos, decor, & little mementos while waiting -- It gives the place so much character & warmth Overall, this spot never misses; Amazing pizza, great energy, & genuinely kind people -- If you're craving a solid slice, this place delivers every single time

This place has good Brooklyn style pizza. Clasp 2 hands to together in devotion and bow your head in thanksgiving. They didn't even have mushroom. They did have arugula, baby tomatoes, mozz, sesame seeds on the crust, sprinkled fresh parm & evoo right out the oven! I love pizza. But great pizza. No no this is not my first review & what does that tell you?? I'll tell you what it says it says that when someone asks for you to house sit on President.... You come here. You come to Franklin Ave and you get pizza from these people. And you enjoy it. Deep Dish Pepperoni Ranch 5/5 Margharitas 5/5 Coke no ice was coke no ice

Phenomenal pizza with fast and welcoming service, what more could you ask for! We ordered the salumi personal pie and it was phenomenal, super fresh. The salumi with the hot oil was perfect. The crust was amazing, very very crispy and kept it all together. The decor was very unique for a pizzeria with hilarious signage and booth seating. I'd definitely come back!

    Look at all their locations!

This is literally the best pizza I've ever had in my life. It had just the right sauce, Margherita flavor WITH marinara, and pepperoni. It's like the pizza I always dreamed of. Made with so much love.

Question? Why do New Yorkers get so twisted when it comes to pizza? Who has the best? What neighborhood? Greenpoint? Bushwick? Williamsburg? Seriously, it's just bread, cheese, sauce and olive oil? Right? What's the big deal? Answer: for us New Yorkers, especially Brooklynites as myself, IT IS A BIG DEAL!!!!!! Thus, when I'm in a cheating mood no ordinary slice will do. That is why I travel to specific Brooklyn pizza places to find a really great slice. One night I was on Google and the top ten ( here we go, according to pizza enthusiasts) pizza places in Brooklyn popped up. As I scrolled to find a place I have not dined at, Joe and Sal's caught my attention. I was surprised I hadn't dined there due to Eastern Parkway being a home away from home. The article stated the Sicilian slice was THE slice to get. Mind you J and S offer burrata, deep dish, nonna and more as far as Sicilian slice options. So here I am in this cool pizza joint with Michael Jackson staring at me from the poster hung in the back as I order my Sicilian. After a five minute wait, warmed up and asked if I want olive oil drizzled on the slice ( I passed), I stared at my massive slice. Wow! It's love at first sight. But how does it taste, you ask? In the words of Michael Jackson, "Don't stop til you get enough" fantastic! You know that first bite: the synchronicity of bread to cheese to sauce.. it's the ultimate bite and it was yummy. The crust is hard and dense, the cheese and sauce melts in your mouth and just the right amount of sauce. I ate every bite. How does Joe and Sal's ( formerly Nino's) compare to the others? Let's just say it's up there with Paulie Gees, L and B Spumoni, Forninos and yes Robertas. Meaning, THAT GREAT! I dare you to look and my picture of the Sicilian and not salivate! Joe and Sal's location is 862,Franklin Avenue, take 4 or 5 train to Franklin Avenue/ Medgar Evers College stop and exit from Eastern Parkway Southeast which leaves you half a block away.

We started with the Crocchette and the Polpo. For entrees we got the Pappardelle Al Funghi and the Agnolotti Del Plin. For dessert we shared the Panna Cotta. All the food was excellent. Octopus was cooked perfectly. The Crocchettes were super flavorful. Both pasta dishes were divine! We actually switched plates halfway through the meal so we could enjoy both dishes. The Panna Cotta was the perfect ending. We made a reservation about a week in advance to be safe. I'm glad we did because the restaurant filled up quickly after opening. We reserved a table in the dining room table due to not knowing the what the patio situation was like. But it does look like their patio is enclosed for the colder months. The service was great. The food came out hot and fresh. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. I would absolutely return to LaRina the next time I'm visiting the city.

The whole restaurant is well curated and had super cute, classy, decor. We loved our seating outside. Food was very good. To start, we got the green fried tomatoes that were that night's special. I am so glad we did as the whole table loved them! I also really liked the lasagna and bistecca. The agnolotti del pin was good, but there was so little of it! I wasn't even that hungry but had to beg my friends for some of their food after finishing mine because they saw how little my dish served. The smoked spaghetti was way too woody tasting in my opinion, too. Service was awesome - we may have been a bit rowdy as a group for our birthday girl, but our server was awesome and even brought out a tiramisu and ice cream for us. Thank you!!

I sincerely appreciated that & don't think most places would go that extra mile. The garlic bread deserves its own shoutout...some of the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, buttery... just amazing. The rice balls were also a star of the table: super flavorful, cheesy, and garlicky. My brother loved the vodka pasta, and while I was a little bummed there's no vegetarian option for it, he said it was delicious. I got the spicy eggplant parm sandwich and really enjoyed it. The flavors were bold and had a nice kick. There were a few bites where the eggplant breading got a bit soggy, but overall it was satisfying and unique. Affordable, flavorful dishes, great people, and a cozy vibe. Despite the small hiccup, I appreciated how attentive they were. I'll definitely be back to try the pesto pasta!
