This place is just amazing and will never disappoint you! They have the best ravioli and premade meals! I love going here and all of the workers are so friendly! Their place is clean and their food is fresh. Also, they have the best cold cuts and they package them perfectly! Everywhere else I go to get cold cuts don't meet the standards of Pastosa!

    The best cookies ever!!

OMG! We love EVERYTHING in the store! I'm Italian and grew up in Brooklyn. We're back visiting our daughter, who lives here now. We thought we'd stop in and try a different Italian store for a change. We bought pasta sauce, Chicken Parmesan pieces, broccoli rabe, mozzarella cheese and of course, cookies!! My family and I loved everything! We plan to stop by again before going back to California, to load up!! Everything was fresh and delicious. One very important feature my family and I commented about was the level of courtesy and friendliness we experienced at the store! We were greeted warmly as we entered, given a sample or two of different foods to try, and treated with smiles while shopping (very unusual for Brooklyn ). We thought that all other stores in Brooklyn should teach their employees the same customer service skills as we experienced at Pastosa!! I highly recommend it! You'll love it, for sure!!!

Pastosa Ravioli is one of my favorite places to procure Italian goods in Brooklyn. I come every once in a while to stock up on prosciutto ($23/lb), parmigiano-reggiano ($19/lb), and their olive oil ($15). With COVID19, the store has made some changes-- mainly that they offer curbside pickup on the weekends (orders made online may take 36 hours to process). The store is also open to walk-in customers too!

Was hesitant to leave a review because I'm scared everyone is going to come here and eat the rainbow cookies. But whatever, you're welcome. This is the BEST Italian market. Their food is always FRESH, and always DELICIOUS. I will always always buy from here! Rainbow cookies are to die for Stuffed artichokes are phenomenal Honey mustard chicken tenders breathtaking Lobster ravioli is amaaaazing ( restaurants buy from them ) Stuffed mushrooms are a must As well as the rest of the store!!!

This Italian grocery is unbeatable great service great products, respectable prices, fresh and unbeatable. Lovett food is always top notch and I really recommend anyone who hasn't gone here to go here. To carry out a family tradition of shopping here for dinner and kitchen groceries I truly find unbeatable.

I brought a box of their frozen lobster raviolis and cheese raviolis from Brooklyn to my parents in southern California. I wasn't sure what to expect because I've had other frozen raviolis from the supermarket and they tasted processed and not fresh. These raviolis were easy to cook and better than some of the raviolis I've had at italian restaurants. The store carries a lot of Italian imports and goods other than raviolis so if you're in the area it's a good idea to drop in.

This place is amazing! I come here all the time! I get the pasta the cheeses and some unique meats! Their Tiramisu and the Toasted Almond is to DIE FOR omg! I love it. The pasta and the Ravioli especially is delicious fresh and easy to prepare. It's right on the package. You can also freeze it! I'm moving to Illinois and I'm so happy they ship!

Pastoral makes the best ravioli and stuffed shells. The filling is very generous and the quality of the ricotta is high.

Ask the Community - Pastosa Ravioli

Does the store carry Arboio Rice?

I recall seeing some types of rice there, I am confident if you were to call them, they would be able to order it for you from one of their suppliers so you could receive it for when you visit for their other specialties

I haven't tried them all, obviously -- too many coffee shops -- but what I have tried, and come back to, over and over, is the products of the amazing team at Posto. It's not just about the skillfully made drinks or the balance of flavors, the fresh, Italian-style coffee or the filled-to-order Italian donuts and Maritozzos (iykyk) -- it's the overall ambience. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta. The servers and owner are always read to provide a recommendation, and like in Italian cafes, they bring whatever treats and drinks you land on to you. (My favorite aperol spritz is also from Posto.) Outside, the peaceful garden hosts two large umbrellas. It's vibrant, as if you're in a neighbor's backyard and they are willing to share a colorful moment with you, birds chirping overhead. As I finished the last drop of my cappuccino this morning, I realized that forty-five minutes had passed, and every sip of coffee was just as good as the last. Thank you!

The things I usually look for in a coffee shop: a friendly neighborhood vibe, a nice place to work,…read morea stellar brew, and perhaps a delectable snack to go with it. I don't feel like Un Posto hits the nail on the head for any of these. The menu is incredibly confusing--one part is on a chalk board, another is written under the countertop, another two are printed out next to the register and they all say different things without explanations of what any of the drinks even are. I spent at least 10 minutes letting other folks in front of me at the counter because I was paralyzed by choices I didn't understand, luckily the baristas were able to provide clarity on some of them. They have cocktails, coffee cocktails, coffee drinks, and several food menus. We came hungry, only to see the sandwich menu taken away because they were out (this was at 3 pm, and they close at 7). This is such a New York thing, but if you're selling cocktails and groceries until the evening, running out of mortadella sandwiches is not the same as when Radio Bakery sells out by noon... Maybe it's me but I'm not particularly looking to get a plate of prosciutt and burrata with my coffee (which is what they had left), and the sandwiches here are supposed to be amazing and were the main reason why we chose this place. We had come here to co-work, but saw that there were no laptops allowed, not even in a specific window, just period. I take issue with this because for some of us, coffee shops are vital spaces not to get sucked into the void of our screens but to write, share ideas, and work in the company of our support system. The coffee I got was an Italian iced coffee with no milk and almond syrup, pretty good but a smallish portion. My friend's latte was white, and tasted like foamy milk with just a hint of espresso... very odd. Usually that cool pretentious European vibe results in delicious food and drink, so I expected to be blown away, but it was just okay. Some of the higher-up staff are quite snippy, doesn't seem like the kind of place where if you're a regular people know your name and want to chat. The accusatory sign in the bathroom really says it all. The best part of this place is the gorgeous back patio, but it's harder to enjoy it when you've walked into a place that already makes you feel like you don't belong there, implying you're a toilet-clogging laptop addict who doesn't know any coffee lingo. I could see stopping in to pick up some fresh pasta and grabbing a cappuccino to go, but what's the fun in that?

They're massive and so delicious. We tried the garlic soy and hot & sweet - both flavors were so tasty and would definitely recommend. It's probably the best wings you can find in the area. We also had the tteokbokki (actually spicy! rice cakes), house salad and a personal bulgogi beef pie. Such indulgent food but so so so good and 100% worth the cheat meal. When I visited the pizzeria IRL on Sunday I was fully hoping to try the kimbap, but unfortunately they don't make them anymore - the disappointment!! Bibimbap was also crossed off the menu sadly, so I just went for the bulgogi rice bowl instead. Still a very comforting dish that actually has a good balance of veggies and protein over rice. My husband got 2 square slices - the buldak chicken and the bulgogi beef - so I tried a couple bites of each and I just loved the Korean flavors on pizza. Buldak had a kick as well as the tteokbokki which we had again. I'm sure the classic pies are just as good but we were keen to try the Korean side of the menu. The Korean lady who helped us was so sweet and lovely and provided great service. I just beg they bring back the kimbap one day! Who wouldn't want kimbap with wings and pizza??

That alone signals someone in the kitchen knows what they're doing. I tried the Rigatoni Sunday Sauce -- rigatoni tossed in a bright, tomato-forward sauce with sliced sausage, eggplant, a meatball, and a cheesy breadstick -- and it mostly delivered. The sauce is lively and fresh-tasting, clearly "today's sauce" rather than something resurrected from yesterday's pot. Tomatoes sing, the acidity is balanced, and the simmered depth is there without feeling overworked. It could have used a whisper more salt for punch, but that's an easy fix at the table with Pecorino Romano; I added some at home and it snapped into perfect focus. The meatball was flavorful but a touch dry -- breadcrumbs are doing the structural work, and a milk-soaked stale bread technique would have kept it juicier without losing character. Sausage and eggplant were solid partners, and the cheesy breadstick was dangerously good (eat it slowly unless you want to be judged by your tablemates). If I could award half stars, this gets a 4.5. Smart execution, honest flavors, and a few small technical tweaks away from greatness. Highly recommend giving them a try -- especially if you, like me, believe that pasta should arrive ready to eat, not ready for a culinary trust exercise.
