Jobos interior, attached to Hotel Tupelo. There are tables outside on the sidewalk as well

First, just be aware that prices have gone way up since the last menus were posted (posting new ones here), so be prepared for sticker shock. I stuck with the basic burger, adding Swiss cheese, and was more than satisfied with the size and the included fries. The side of slaw I added was not what I expected -- the cabbage was very finely grated and the flavor was heavy on the acidic end; could have used a touch more sweet and maybe some carrots (might have been in there, couldn't tell). The decor is colorful and fun, with a big high ceiling. I stayed at the adjoining Hotel Tupelo, so I took my leftover fries up to the room for later. I saw several couples there on what seemed to be dates, and there was a pair of doctors in scrubs at the table next to me, simultaneously eating supper and attending some kind of online seminar. A large group of teachers from a state conference occupied a group table, and the atmosphere was lively. Noise level is fairly high.

    Jobos Butter Burger to go

I was in Tupelo looking for something different and I came across Jobos. I didn't realize it was a hotel restaurant at first but what the heck, I'll give it a try. Located inside of Hotel Tupelo. You enter the restaurant through the hotel and it's a beautiful boutique hotel, very cool! As I approached the restaurant I asked the young lady working what would she recommend but she had only been working there a few days. As I scanned the menu I spotted The Jobos Butter Burger made with a Short Rib Grind, Benton's Bacon, Herb Butter, pickles with a side of Parmesan Fries. I love a good burger. While I waited on my food I took some pics and every employee I encountered was pleasant. I got back and assembled my burger and it was Delicious!!!! Juicy!! The most Flavor Filled Burger I've had in some time. Every Burger from now on needs to be made with a Short Rib Grind. The fries were good, I've had better. I wish that they were Truffle Parmesan Fries but I would eat them again. Well done Jobos!

Amber was our waitress and she was super nice and helpful. We arrived an be before the kitchen closes so we quickly decided what we wanted. I ordered the wings, they were a bit salty but still good, and a side of fries. The fries were delicious and came out piping hot. I had a skinny margarita to drink, which was good. The place is super small but very cute. It was a Monday night, so it was filled with a few business ppl. I have been before but mainly on the weekends, so different group. I totally recommend!!

Was back in the area for a concert and made the stop with friends. The atmosphere is so inviting. Food and service are always spot on. I had the burger and fries and both were delicious. If you're in the area make it a priority.

All the servers were chatting with each other and it wasn't busy. I tried to ask for recommendations but the server seemed unfamiliar with the menu. The food was good but pork was a little fatty. Could have been heavier on the coleslaw. Was a nice presentation for a sandwich.

Very good "Old Fashioned with Bulleit
    Douglas W.

Of course I had to start with my typical Old Fashioned. It seems to be a good starting point for evaluation. It was made with Bulleit, and I appreciated them asking if I had another preference. I liked the shape of the glass... easy to pick up and hold. And there was a good portion in there for em. Nice ice cube - actually a cube and not a sphere. And the slice of orange zest was perfect. I did miss my muddled cherries, but it was very good overall. I started with the Soup and Grilled Cheese. The star of the dish was definitely the soup. A "ginger chicken" soup had a very deep complex flavor. Very "heart" chicken flavor, and the ginger / pepper seasoning was perfect. The sandwich was "panini style". I was not expecting that. It was very good though, and a perfect pair for the Soup. .the only change I would make would be a deeper bowl to retain the temperature... uncooked off kinda quick, and I like my soup hot... I finished with their fundido con chorizo.... Or Choriqueso where I come from. Very nice queso with a nice helping of chorizo on top. It was served in a "cast iron mini-skillet, which kept it very nice and toasty warm. The chips were awesome! Thin enough to not overwhelm the dip, but strong enough to be the perfect spoon! And a shout out to Amber and Kim who made the entire experience wonderful. Two fabulous ladies full of southern hospitality who helped guide me through the menu and pick the perfect items.

Nice place to eat and drink. Just a short walk from my hotel, I stopped in for a late night snack along with a few beers. I sat at the bar with bartenders that were attentive. The choices of beers was good with several local choices. After reviewing the menu, I went with the crazy octopus. It was ok, great flavor, but not quite as tender as advertised. I would return.

Visit #1: I ordered the Voo Doo Tots and the prime filet. The tots? Okay, these were amazing. Like, I could've just eaten those and been happy. The steak was a solid prime filet--cooked well and enjoyable, even if it didn't quite steal the show from the tots. Visit #2: I tried the Chef's Charcuterie Board (which, plot twist, is served on a plate... not a board) and the Forklift Fried Chicken. The chicken plate was a little disappointing for me. The collard greens and cornbread were definitely "not how momma made them" (kidding... kind of). Still edible, just not memorable. Both visits left me satisfied, but it's more of a "stroll back" than a "run back" kind of place. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, which always bumps a restaurant up a notch in my book. I didn't try one of their Old Fashioneds--apparently what they're known for--but I did go for the Fire of Mordor cocktail. Tequila-based, delicious, and honestly the name alone sold me. Cozy restaurant, and we had reservations both times even though it wasn't packed. Overall, Forklift is a nice spot to land for a good meal in Tupelo.
