Staying in a hotel because of the ice storm and was happy to see Tupelo had a restaurant that serves this type of food. This food was a delicious comfort. Very flavorful and great portion for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a great aesthetic and atmosphere. Would love to come back and dine-in or have a beer at the bar.

Good food, alright portions, but really slow wait staff. Our drinks were given to us 5 minutes after we ordered them (with two other tables in store) and we were not checked up on once. I came back to the restaurant an hour later to use the bathroom and our dishes were still sitting on the table. They were also out of fried pickles and burgers, but that wasn't their fault.

Fried mushrooms, catfish with rice and vegetables and salad. Yumminess.

Food was excellent both times. Had the catfish the first time and grilled chicken wrap the second. The fries are yummy. Gets busy in there so expect a little wait.

The food is great and the tap selection is one of the best in Tupelo. The staff is very knowledgeable about what is on tap.

We were headed back from AR from a graduation and while staying in Tupelo found this restaurant close to our hotel. Not from being around the area weren't real sure about it but only because we were not seeing a lot of food items we liked. However because it was close by our hotel and the star rating was high, we decided to try it out. Oh my gosh; I am so glad we did. Even months ago enjoying our food to now, I can still remember how amazingly tasty our food was. My hubby and I shared the Dirty Grains with greens and things. We both have never had greens in our lives, but our server told us they were very scrumptious at the Blue Canoe. She was spot on!! They were delicious, really the entire meal was DELISH!! I am so glad we shared the dish because it was a lot and very filling. Now the restaurants famous sauce that is made fresh every day is worth its weight in gold. Our server has been there a very long time and she said she is the gal who makes it daily. I can't really explain the taste but it is very, very tasty. We were so full and it as going to pass on dessert. Of course our server told us about their dessert that is #1 on the menu...Connie's Blueberry Doughnut Bread Pudding (pictured). Once again super scrumptious and worth every calorie. If you are new to the area I highly recommend a trip to the Blue Canoe. It doesn't look like much outside and inside it can seem like a dive. It isn't because it's been around d a while and the ambiance is really cool!! The parking lot gets quite full and was just a bit challenging to maneuver our large 250 GMC truck but we managed. This place is a gem and well worth our visits when we are traveling through. I'd love to go when they have live music but not sure when we will be driving through.

For nearly $20, I received one piece of fish and four very small strips, which didn't come close to justifying the price. I left feeling like the portions were unnecessarily limited for what I paid. The quality of the food was there, but the value simply wasn't. I hope management reevaluates the portion sizes because customers shouldn't feel shortchanged after spending that much.

I tried only the catfish nachos from the menu, and they lived up to their billing. The catfish was expertly blackened, the balance between fish, chips, cheese, and sauces was perfect, and a half-order was plenty for one person. Unexpectedly bang-on as a flavor & texture combo, the only thing the nachos lacked was a tastier beer accompaniment. Since this is a little-known, hard-to-spot and relatively small neighborhood bar, almost everyone who comes in is a local regular who sits in the same spot every day. So, only the most mainstream of mainstream beer is available, tap or bottle. I made do with a draft Shiner Bock, which was fine, but I encourage management to broaden their clientele's tastes a bit for their own benefit, as well as for the occasional out-of-towner intrigued by the Yelp review and/or looking for food at an off-hour. That said, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and Rachel deserves all the accolades she gets in the reviews -- the very model of a tavern proprietor. You go, Rachel!

The vibe was off! Sunday was like shut off at the bar aftwr 3pm nort good, and we did not have access to the bar area to play the checkers or shuffel board. We were forced to go on 2nd floor balcony where a bounch of teenagers were overtaking the area.
