Food was good and tasty. It didn't take long to get our food and everything was hot and fresh. Service was ok, nothing bad but I think it was because they were a bit busy. Would definitely visit again.

5 star for the amount of food given for the price! I got Cajun style catfish and shrimp platter and it came with so much food! The taste was good as well. I also got a Crazy Burger for my daughter, and it was THE BIGGEST BURGER EVER. Nice price, laid back diner style food.

Onion rings, onions were not cooked long enough I notified Ms Kim and she treated me with lack of concern. Did not fix issue

The young lady who took my order was very Nice!!! i ordered a double burger and onion rings. I walked up to an older lady, which I think her name was Kim. I told her that I didn't like the onion rings( the were not cooked properly ( onions were somewhat raw) so I attempt to hand them to her asking could she replace them with a 1/2 order of fries and my request was quickly denied I went back to my seat and thought "how easy it could have been for her to give me 1/2 order of fries, due to the 1/2 cooked onion rings service is not the same anymore I will attempt to show a picture of the rings. I spent a little over 20.00$

We order burgers all around. The burgers were delicious! They gave us an order of fried Oreos on the house. They were actually pretty good too! The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the tea was awful unfortunately. I chose not to drink with my meal.

We ordered the bacon avocado burger and bacon avocado chicken sandwich. Asked for chicken sandwich to be cut in half and was told no, that they don't like cutting it in half. Lol. Okay. Not sure why, when we got the sandwich, there were 2 chicken like strips. The burger and the sandwich are huge. The burger was much better than the chicken sandwich. The bread! Always good.

We've always loved the JLB on Stella Link, so we assumed this location would offer the same quality. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When our food arrived, we weren't given any condiments. The teenager at the counter disappeared into the kitchen, and after waiting about 10 minutes, she never came back. By this point, our food had gone cold. Frustrated, I went behind the counter and grabbed mustard, mayo, and ranch from the fridge where I could see they were stored. When the employee finally reappeared and I explained what I had done, both she and (I assume) the owner just glared at me for the rest of our meal. To top it off, when I went to the restroom, the soap was watered down to the point of being ineffective--possibly a cost-cutting measure. If they're skimping on hygiene in a public restroom, I can't help but worry about what corners they're cutting in the kitchen.

The first time we ate from here it was delicious. That's why we went back but this time. Our meat was undercooked but the manager was not having it. She made sure to tell us she was not wrong and she was not happy we asked to remake it. I will say after all the misunderstanding we did get fried Oreos on the house. And I appreciate it that.

I'm not joking when I say this, but this is the best burger I've ever had. The burgers are huge!! And the buns are amazing. The fries and onion rings are also amazing too.

My husband and I both said "shockingly good food." I got the bacon burger with sweet potato fries, he got the regular cheeseburger, and it was all unbelievably delicious! They were so flavorful, and the homemade buns were light and fluffy and airy, not dense and heavy, so I could eat more of the huge burger than I usually can at other burger restaurants! The service was good and quick, and the atmosphere was nice! They had one TV playing sports, and one playing old black-and-white movies. I loved the latter. I never see that in restaurants! They had outdoor seating which was really nice, but the eatery is sadly right next to the highway, so it was too loud to talk out there. Nice spot if you're alone, though.

Disappointed that I added fries to a kids meal because they charged an additional 3.50 like they do to adult size burgers but, they give you way less fries. If I get less fries to make my kids meal a combo then I should pay less money to make it combo.

Well, dang. This place is right in my back yard, & I ignored it for weeks. No more. Had a kickass HUGE burger there today (bacon avocado burger), & it was fabulous. If anything, it was a little too big (But did I eat it all? Heck yeah.). The meat in the burger (purported to be Angus) seemed to be fresh, not from frozen, because it was moist & didn't have that funny frozen "tang." Veggies were fresh; bun was nice & bigger than the burger & veg, which is the way it should always be & often isn't. Tip: ask them to cut your burger in half because it's almost too big to hold & eat whole (& I have big hands for a woman). I also got tots swimming in chili & cheese; the chili didn't have a whole lot of flavor, but who cares? Because CHEESE. I got the medium size, but I recommend getting the small size. Trust me. God knows what they'd serve the Large in: maybe a boat. Burgers are served in paper over reusable plastic baskets. So my only quibble with JLBurge, as with many others, is the plastic utensils & styrofoam cups & to-go containers. I bring my own utensils for places like this that only have plastic eating utensils & refuse to buy drinks served in styrofoam cups, but they also served my tots in a styrofoam to-go container. Yech. Next time, I'll just have to tell them NO STYROFOAM. UPDATE: Went there recently & they gave me foil in a basket instead of styrofoam, so all they have to do now is get reusable cups & silverware, & I'll eat there more often. Chili cheese fries still rock. read more

Unfortunately I cannot give this place a good review. I called and was put on hold for 7 minutes. There was a customer waiting so she had to finish up with the walk-in but after that, no other customer walked in. She laid the phone on the counter and I could hear everything. After 7 minutes of holding she hung up the phone. Called back, asked for a manager, put me on hold for another 3 minutes then said she was not available. I tried to support a local restaurant, we all know how they are all hurting. I guess this location/business is not??? You don't hang up on customers wanting to place orders. Whoever is answering the phone & taking orders needs to be taught customer service....you are losing business. This is for the FM 529/Eldridge location in Houston, TX read more

Husband and I were wanting a good burger and saw the reviews on here for Joy Burger. Did not disappoint. The home made buns with the 1/4 lb Angus beef and fresh topping make for a great burger. Add the hot crispy seasoned fries and you have a great combo. Word of warning, you could probably split the combo and just add an extra drink. read more

Had to go to three burger places to get here since it was Monday and two of them were closed. However, it was the trip. I got the Bacon Cheeseburger combo and that burger was huge and delicious. The homemade bun was awesome! The service was excellent. There were only 3 people in there when I arrived, however they had like 6 to go orders come in while I was eating. And this was around 3:15 in the afternoon. I had heard a lot about these burgers and the drive past another location, while not excited about, was definitely worth the trip. JLB Eatery lived up to the hype for me. read more

OK tried it for the first time after hearing soooo many good things! I chose the bacon cheeseburger combo! The burger was huge, meat cooked to your liking..I'm a well done kinda gal when it comes to burgers. That didn't dry it out at all it was tasty and juicy! My fries weren't as hot as I would have liked so I'm only giving 4 star. I'm looking forward to going back and trying something different because it's suppose to All be good! read more

Excellent burger. If you want to get a bang for your buck this is the place. Portion sizes are very generous for the price you pay. I got the cheeseburger with curly fries. Buns are homemade - super soft and light, not too carb heavy. The meat they use is amazing - angus beef, very high quality. The fries were cooked perfectly and not oily at all. Family friendly environment and also dog friendly! read more

The burger was great! Beef was cooked just right and the bacon was crispy, no fatty, uncooked pieces. The onion rings were definitely made in house and good The bun was fluffy and fresh, and I wouldn't doubt if those were made in house as well. The place was clean and I will return to try the fish, which looked good too read more

Went to this place while waiting for my tires to balanced. Ordered the hamburger basket. The buns are homemade and so delicious. The meat.was perfect with a little crisp. The portion was very big! I ended up eating the whole burger (not all the fries) because it was so good!!! Next time I might get a child portion. Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever eaten! Will be back even tho it's not on our beaten path. read more

If you haven't had this place yet. It's well worth your time and money. The burgers are huge and amazing! It's on a sour dough bun, but it's almost sweetened;super soft bread. The meat in the patties are so seasoned. It doesn't just taste like "meat", like a lot of other burger places. When we order, I can never finish the burger. A order last me a whole day. My goodness these burgers were good. We ordered them to go and it was only a 10 min wait, not bad. When we opened it up we were pleasantly surprised with how large the burger and the sides were. I ordered the Crazy Burger with chili cheese fries and my bf ordered the BBQ Burger with chili cheese tater tots. Both burgers were messy to eat in the best way possible and there was a good amount of fries/tots as well. Definitely will order here again. read more

Great food! Huge burgers! The place is vary basic, but I'm ok with that, as long as the food is good. We tried to eat out on the patio, but the noise from the traffic on the roadway was too loud. Would be great outside eating if not for that. Will definitely return again! read more

Consumer Alert!!!!!! My first time here so I ordered a cheese burger for myself and fish and chips for my self as well to sample The catfish is Vietnamese which comes from dirty polluted waters... Don't stand at the counter and lie to me even the Katy location admitted to using Vietnamese catfish, second why show pictures of burgers and wraps in leafy green lettuce but actually use shredded ice Burg that is basically green solid water filler with no health benefits, the counter girl couldn't even tell me what kind of buns you bake and just rolled her eyes when I asked about what kind of catfish. Then it gets worse my breaded fish had a burnt taste telling me the old was old the Asian lady told me they change it everyday she said outloudly so her customers could here that is just plain trash talk every and I mean every restaurant filters and reuse's oil but to just plain lie about is low class just suck it up and admit maybe it needed a change big hands to the unknowledgeable cahier and the low life lying cook....I can get the same homemade bun and garbage lettuce 50yards away at Burger Tex and at least you get free cheese sauce for your fries and not a mouthful of lies..... read more

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger ez lettuce and no mayo with onion rings and a drink was charged 15 dollars. Got to work opened the box and got a bacon cheeseburger with mayonnaise and mustard and regular serving of lettuce. Called them and let them know of what happened clearly told the lady that i couldn't come back cause i was at work she said that's fine. Well fix it for you gave her my name and hung up the phone. Called back the next day and was told i can only get 20% off my next purchase. Huh make up rules for black people. Ill never go back. Plus i didn't eat the burger that was wrong threw it away 15 bucks for onion rings and a drink never again. Terrible service. read more

Burger is amazing! Lady at the counter was not. First time I went there she was there and had no personality and was not excited to explain anything on the menu since it was my first time. Second visit was much more pleasant. I give the burger 5 stars and if I go back and the nice lady is at the counter again I may give this a 5 star. We get double cheese burger on their homemade buns combo , and add bacon. It is large enough to feed us both so we share. $15 for the meal but bc we can split it I feel it's ok. read more

Based on what they post, I was disappointed.

I wanted a cheesesteak but had a little difficulty finding it on the menu because it's located under the heading From The Grill and there it's called a Philly Steak. For a place that has cheesesteaks in its name I thought that it should have a section with that name somewhere on the menu. So I ordered a Philly Steak for $9.99 and added an order of fries for another $3.49 along with a canned soft drink. The food took less than 10 minutes. The sandwich came with the requisite meat, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and provolone cheese all on a soft bread bun, it was very good tasting but I wanted more content inside the bun. The Philly Cheesesteaks that I have had in the Philly area had more meat, cheese and everything else. I would have gladly paid $2-3 more for that. Like I said, very good tasting but give me more filling! The fries were large crinkle cut ones and were served hot but they were also a little soggy in the middle. Perhaps undercooked? Finally they charge extra for a credit card without any signage I saw other than when the clerk ran up the bill. I wanted to give a 4 score but have to go with a 3 instead.

Came in here for lunch today right when it opened and was surprised at how many people were in line already! I was a bit skeptical thinking the food would take a lot longer due to the amount of people, but surprisingly, our food came out in less than 10 minutes! My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and I got the wings. The portions are HUGE! The meat patty is definitely one of the best burger patties I've had and it melts in your mouth. The wings were large and very juicy. The hot sauce was amazing. The establishment was very clean and the decor is adorable inside. The customer service was exceptional.
