Let me tell you what!!! Ive tried my share of burgers around Houston and I have to say.. Joy Love Burgers is a new "Go-To" local spot for a burger. THEY ARE MASSIVE. The meat is so tender and have such a great flavor. Not too juicy and not too dry. Just right! We ordered the "Joy Love Burger" combo and the London fried shrimp wrap. We wanted to try 2 different sides of the spectrum I guess. They were both AMAZING. The Joy Live Burger is UNREAL. This burger has both chicken and beef!! The crazy part is.. Even with the grilled chicken meat with the burger meat.. You would think it would be too much... But it's not! The chicken is thin and has a great marinade taste. Not dry whatsoever and compliments the burger. The seasoned fries cane out hot and fresh. Thumbs up on freshness. The shrimp wrap wasnt the best I have ever had but still pretty freakin good! Grand opening visit to Joy Love today and we decided to go with a Cheeseburger for the husband and Buffalo Ranch Chicken for myself. Service was courteous and helpful, though she couldn't answer a question about the intensity of the heat in the buffalo chicken because she hadn't tried it. Kitchen staff didn't follow all directions as my husband asked for no tomatoes and still received tomatoes, even though order was confirmed for no tomatoes. The Cheeseburger was good but could have been thicker, as you can see from the photos. The bread is definitely fresh-made and grilled on each side with a nice brown exterior and soft inside. The Buffalo Chicken Ranch was basically just chicken strips deep-fried and then wing sauce poured over them. A nice surprise to the sandwich is that it had crispy tator tots inside. The wing sauce was very mild, so there wasn't much of a kick, just a nice warm vinegar flavor. Restaurant is nice and clean with televisions for entertainment. Another customer had a crying child and one of the employees went and changed the closest TV to a child-friendly station for the child. They're obviously responsive to customer need. If we're in the area, we'd come again but not make a special trip. If we could give 3 1/2 stars, we would. Good, solid burger but nothing over the top. read more

Consistently good burgers = Joy Love Burgers This location opened yesterday and is the company's 4th shop. I have eaten at the other 3 (Katy, Louetta and Memorial) and this one serves the same menu and food. My Angus Burger combo today tasted just as good as the other locations and that is a big compliment. Beautiful baked daily pillowy buns, large handformed Angus beef patties dressed with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles (I had them hold my onions) make for a fine hamburger. The fries were hot and large in size. This combo meal with tax was $10 and change which represents great value. Another thing about JL, when you order the food takes between 10-15 minutes to come out. That's fine because they are making it just for me. The burger is a 5 but I feel the fries are a 3.5. That's still good but they could be better. I usually use ketchup on mine here and I wish I didn't. Perhaps it's the oil they use. I don't know. This location has plenty of parking in front, an outdoor covered patio and 5 TV's inside with plenty of seating. I really like JL and will return here since it's not far from home. Next time will be to try one of their seafood options or other sandwiches. read more

From reviews on Yelp and some of my friends who've gone to a joy love burger, I've heard/read grand reviews and expected for something delicious. Unfortunately, this place fell below the line. We ordered the following: Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings Fish and shrimp If you like thick buns, thin salty patties, and greasy hands after each bite, maybe you'll enjoy this place. Onion rings were over battered and got soft and soggy quickly. I came here wanting to try their fish and shrimp also. Fish tasted not cooked, very rubbery. Shrimp had a mushy texture. The tartar sauce had an off putting taste where I had to spit out. Fries were good. Salad was good. Overall, bill turned out to be around $30 without tip. I wish I had gone to 5 guys or if I wanted to spend that much another gourmet place. On the bright side, social distancing was advised and the service was great. I wasn't sure on what to get initially, but after browsing the menu/food pics and reading reviews l, I decided on the crazy burger. I will say I spent $15 on myself for that meal, and I'm a cheapskate, but this thing was massive! They hook it up with the fries too. As any normal person does, I snacked on the fresh and hot fries on the way home, which were tasty as well. Sadly I had some drinks at home and I fell asleep after only having like a bite or two and setting the food to the side, so this morning I woke up and ate the rest of it, and it was still like ridiculously good. Everything tasted great, they load you up with food. As the saying goes, "you get what you pay for", but here that can be said in the best way possible! Oh yeah, the girl up front was very nice, and of course I was happy to see her wearing gloves and a mask when handling my order! Happened to be around the are ma and decided to try out this place. They have a large me menu, with the main dishes being their burgers. These burgers are gigantic! I wasn't expecting them to be this large. Both patties and bread are made in-house, which I think is great. The burgers were well seasoned and the bun was soft and fresh. Because the burgers are so large and the bread is homemade, you won't get a solid sturdy burger. Meaning, as soon as you pick it up it gets all floppy and everything goes all over. It's more of a knife and fork burger. I may be wrong, but the fries tasted like frozen fries. If you are basing your business on great burgers with homemade bread and patties, match it up with some good fries. The kids sizes are the size of a regular burger and the regular burger can probably feed two. I know I couldn't finish mine. It's out of my way, but I wouldn't mind visiting again. read more

This place is a hidden gem. They have some of the best burgers around. The portions are huge! We have been twice and always say next time we should share. Their chili cheese fries are my favorite thing. The only thing I would suggest, is that you ask for light seasoning on the burger because it is very salty. Great Burger place period. I usually dont like places that have an extensive menu that's all over the place, but this place easily in my top 10 of burger joints in Houston. I've had their regular hand burger($7.58) and their avocado bacon burger($10.81). Both burgers feature a big freshly made bun, and A nice size patty. It's bigger than anything at your standard burger joints, including Whataburger. Bacon is nice and crunchy like i prefer, and the avocado was plentiful. Literally it's been times I could not finish the burger because of the size of the thing. I havent tried their fries yet or anything else on the menu but I'll eventually get to that point. I'm loyal to chickfila waffle fries. Ha. Do not hesitate to check this place out for their burger.. They have great burgers, at an even better value! read more

Came here 2 days in a row just cuz the burgers were so good. Food takes less than 10min to come out. Things I've ordered: Hamburger Cheeseburger Cajun wings Pork chop bbq burger Fries So the highlight of the meal were the angus beef hamburgers. The burger was very good and juicy. My cheeseburger however didn't have any cheese with was upsetting cuz I paid more for that but it still tasted good... the wings were good, it's just regular fried wings, and supposedly has a dry rub Cajun seasoning but I didn't taste any spices. Fries were ok (they don't give much). I love onion rings but they over fried it here and it was very hard so I had to pass. Least favorite was the pork chop burger cuz it's a very very thin piece of pork chop that's fried so all you're really tasting is the breading and no meat. So if you come here I just recommend the regular angus burger lol Also they are a burger place so I'm not sure why they don't have condiments such as ketchup on the table but instead they have sriracha which I thought was weird but ok lol they do have ketchup packets and you need to ask for that read more

We heard about this location from another martial arts parent. We fancy ourselves burger aficionados, especially in the immediate area. And I can say, without a doubt, this was the best, most flavorful burger we've ever had. I do not like leaving negative reviews, but I was quite disappointed after my last experience. I had a friend in the area so I recommended this burger place. We were in the mood for wings as well so we tried them. Altogether, we ordered two burger combos: the bacon burger and the cheeseburger. Both burgers were huge, juicy, and filling. (They could've scaled back on the sauce.) The onion rings were so good, but there were only 3/4 of them which kinda sucked because the fries were mediocre at best. The wings were regular overly fried wings drowned in buffalo sauce. They were nasty. I was shocked because the burgers are always so good! Dessert: Don't bother. That chocolate mousse cake looked nothing like the picture on the menu but we didn't see it until we left. It looked like a thin slide of chocolate pudding. It wasn't the most tasty dessert either. While in the area unexpectedly, I dropped in for a quick & simple burger & fries. I noticed that the burger tasted extremely salty. I was halfway through when I began to feel ill. Symptoms began quickly: sweating, dizziness, nauseous & tingling. Wondering what in the world could be making me so sick, I asked the guy whether the burger had MSG in it. He didn't know and asked the woman in the back. She came out declaring that she uses just what 'corporate' sends her in the quantities they tell her. I asked again "Does the seasoning contain MSG?" She didn't know. I went to my car - thinking that I may need to drive to the nearest ER because breathing was getting difficult. I called her and asked her to please read the label and tell me if it contained MSG. She said there was no label and she needed to call corporate. She took my name and number. A few minutes later she returned the call and stated: 'It's not MSG but it has several things like MSG.' They should KNOW what goes in their food! If you have high blood pressure, do not eat the burgers. It was the saltiest meat I've ever tasted. I was ill within minutes (and I do not have high BP issues). It's 6 hrs later and my head feels like it's about to explode. For the love of God. Why would a restaurant want to add so much stuff to a simple burger? I thought it was supposed to be Angus. DO NOT COME HERE! My boyfriend and I went to go pick up dinner for our family, including my 2 year old nephew. We ordered 2 double cheeseburgers the combo,1 regular cheeseburger, chicken strip Buffalo ranch sandwich, and the kids chicken tenders. An hour after eating everyone including my 2 year old nephew felt nauseous and sick to their stomach. After we all went to bed everyone woke up a couple hours later vomiting, sweating and diarrhea. I believe the protein was either not kept at the proper temperature or the fries were fried in old grease. It is the next morning and our stomachs are still hurting and my sister and I are still vomiting. This was very disappointing because I had been here several times before with no problem. Although after reading the comments it seems we are not the only ones that have experienced this. We have now been to this location twice and it really is Five Stars. The buns are homemade daily and yummy, the patty is fresh and hand formed. The first visit we each ordered a burger with tater tots / waffle fries . . . learned our lesson!!! Next time we split the combo and and were totally full. I thought it was ok. I had the Avocado bacon burger and it is a substantial meal all by itself. They make their own buns which are good but if you're having a medium rare burger it doesn't hold up to the juice.
