I brought in a pair of pants to mend a seam and then dry clean. They aren't anything special (like they go with a suit or something like that) and I didn't really think much about. Until the price of $20.50 was quoted for the repair and cleaning. Again, didn't think much about it. As I then drove to Costco, it dawned on me that I could probably buy a comparable brand new pair of pants at Costco for the same amount...which I confirmed while I was there. Now they did a good job of mending and cleaning, and they were ready when promised. And I can't complain about the price because I left them after they told me. But I wouldn't bother in the future unless they were a piece of clothing that was less "replaceable". read more

It's hard finding a good dry cleaner that doesn't over charge, or doesn't smash all the buttons on your shirts. What I never thought I'd experience is a dry cleaner that arbitrarily changes their hours to a time that is inconvenient for anyone that works a full time job. JJ's is grossly overpriced, but I could get past that if when I pay to have buttons replaced on my shirts they would actually do it. I made this mistake twice before I said to myself JJ's has no interest in sewing my buttons. But I had finally had enough of this place. After leaving work I went to drop off my shirts and a suit, only to find they have changed their hours and now will close at 5 pm on weekdays. This information isn't reflected on their website, and only visible by some sticky notes covering their old hours. When I call to ask whether this is a permanent change or temporary, I am greeted with a voice message stating that the mailbox is full and cannot accept messages. I called back roughly 8 times and no one answered. JJ's cares nothing about their customers, hence their appalling 2 star rating. read more

I walked into JJ's dry cleaners for the first time this morning. The counter attendant was wearing a mask that was barely up to the tip of her nose. I asked her if she could please pull it up a bit over her nose. She responded that Coronavirus was a hoax. I pointed out that 200 thousand Americans are dead. Her response was that more people had died of some other disease. Eventually she asked my name. I said Chan. She said "Are you from San Francisco?" I responded "No"". Are you from the Deep South?" She said no. Her confrontational, racist question and attitude convinced me that driving further for dry cleaning is my best choice. read more

Awful ! Awful! Awful! Before you decide to stop by ... there are a few things you should know: 1. THEY KEEP YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. If you have used either one in the past, they will keep it in their records and charge it without your consent for the service. How do I know that !? It happened to me ... I picked up a garment which I paid for with cash and went home to check my bank statement and saw the charge. Note: I was not asked or advised about this practice until I went back to the store to get the refund. The employee said that all payments have to be made at time of pick up., which I understand because I paid with CASH !! 2. THEY WILL MIX UP YOUR GARMENTS. I went to pick up a jacket (one piece!) and suddenly I was handed a bunch of men's clothes...shirts and pants etc. I told the employee that wasn't mine and she looked at the ticket then looked at her computer and looked at me and asked me: are you sure that's not yours!?? .... NEVER use this dry cleaner! I dropped off a comforter two weeks ago and pre-paid with cash. I was given a "receipt" at the time. When I returned with receipt today, I was told that my "receipt" was my bill and that there was no proof that I had paid. Apparently my ticket should have been stamped to say that it was prepaid. The person who took my comforter no longer works there. I think she has some extra cash in her pocket. Furthermore, as the lady at the front counter was trying to help me, she contacted the store manager and proceeded to discuss the matter in Spanish. I have been here approximately 10 times. Pretty good work on uniforms, however, I never get my uniform back without some hair or lint on it. I always have to use a lint roller after picking my clothes up. Fairly friendly staff. They can't spell my name when I spell it out for them which is kind of annoying too. Up date from my previous review: The owner was very prompt in getting in touch with me and also a follow up. He told me that they have a 100% guarantee and he wants me to be happy with the service. He offered me a $60 credit, but only for dry cleaning. Sometimes I need items altered and I was told as they send them out to be done, I could not use my credit towards that. I think he said my credit would not be good towards their fluff and fold service either (I forget). Either way, the 3 stars are for the owners prompt response to my issue and for the credit. They are also for not being able to use my credit for anything but dry cleaning. Although, I can't dry clean items often due to having cancer 4 years ago and am supposed to stay away from chemicals, it was nice of him to offer. Please do not bring your clothes here!! I paid $54 dollars to get simple stains removed from my clothing and my clothing came back with stains. They were not clean at all. I do my dry cleaning at JJ's weekly and am very happy with the results every time. Prices are a bit higher than i'd like, but the service is always exceptional. I had a mess up with two of my skirts that needed to be altered and they fixed it no questions asked with the apologies as one would expect.They even called me when my coat was done so i could pick it up a day earlier. I rarely take the time to write reviews, which might tell you something about how bad this place is. I feel sorry for the nice lady that works in there, but the quality of work is terrible. Their operation is poorly run...they failed, on serveral occasions to have my shirts done when they said they would. The have had two shirts returned stained, and one shirt was completely destroyed. I have had shirts returned wrinkled as well. The final straw was when they couldn't even find the shirts I dropped off, and I had to return later and try again. This time they found them, and managed to give me a shirt that wasn't even mine. Silver State Cleaners was much better, but is a little too far. I'll probably try Bobby Page... read more

Let me start by saying that I rarely comment on Yelp. But I must say that I'm truly disappointed with the new owners of JJ's Cleaners. I've even expressed my issues to them and they let me know they don't care. The service in general, is good. The clothes are cleaned well, the staff is good. But since the new owners took over, the changes they've made support their needs, not the customer. What I miss: a) Next day service - I was told that under no circumstances could I get my clothes the next day. When I went back after two days, they had half my order. The next day, they couldn't find the rest of it. They found it and delivered to my door, which was a very nice move. b) Bags - I used to have a personalized bag. No more. Now we have big bags with no personal tag that includes my preferences. c) Hours of service - My wife and I have busy jobs and I travel frequently. So the hours of 8 am to 6 pm means I can only pick up my clothes on the weekend. I will agree that they've made some nice changes, cosmetically at least to the process. But their attention to the needs of the customers appear to be secondary to the desires of the owners. The new owners have let me know, that through their actions and lack of response to any concerns raised that they would prefer that my family and I take our business elsewhere. I'm truly sorry to do this because their Sparks locations are convenient. read more
