Had never been to the heights location before , and I'm so glad I did tonight. I got a perfectly fried tempura appetizer of brussel sprouts, soooo yummy, and got a Slurp-fully delightful ramen bowl of the Premium Tonkosu Red !! Goodness Gracious, this was so very good! Sat at the bar and it was very busy this Sunday night as well, but service was great! Not a single complaint! Will return, lives up to Jinya's reputation!

Amazing and delicious Ramen. This place is very cute very relaxing and Service It's amazing. Madison took really good care of me. She was super sweet and very polite. She also recommended things on the menu and I liked that a lot. I highly recommend to come here and have some delicious Ramen. Make sure you ask for Madison.

It's finally ramen season! I've been coming to Jinya in the Heights for ages now due to excellent and consistent service and repeatedly great ramen. I usually get the JINYA Tonkotsu Black which feels like a classic choice with pork and egg, and add spicy bomb on the side. This location is also baby friendly! Make sure to sign up for their loyalty program!

Great location in the heights Next to other shops and restaurants Has both street and parking lot parking Always a friendly staff and accommodating Service is quick and hardly any wait time even on their busy days I always enjoy a good heart and warm ramen Inside is cozy and enjoyable. It has a great ambiance

Spicy ramen for the Win!!! Of course my favorite ramen spot; they have a unique menu! I have been coming to jinya since 2017! The spicy chicken ramen is always the order I gear toward most. The broth is just the perfect blend of spice and flavor. It's not watery, which is why I keep coming back. The shrimp tempura for an appetizer chef kiss with perfect crunch and sweet and spicy flavors. I always get the lychee martini here. There's a Ramen or a rice bowl for everybody. It's cute for a date night girls night or just a chilly cold night which is why we came. There is a parking lot so free parking!

Best.Ramen.In.Town. I am obsessed with JINYA! I first discovered them in Atlanta and was so happy to see that there was a location nearby my home in Houston. I have been here 3 times already and ordered on DoorDash twice. To begin with, there is free parking and as soon as you walk in, you feel like you are in a super trendy spot with all the neat decor and huge bar. Service has always been great and the servers are very attentive. For the appetizer, you must order the JINYA Bun. It is literal perfection. For my entrée I always order the JINYA Tonkotsu Black because it is so delicious! Needless to say, I will keep coming back (just writing this review has made me crave some of their yummy ramen)!

Perfectly cooked egg. After arriving later than anticipated from SATX. It was nice and windy this night, so I felt ramen would be wonderful. I got the original tonkostu with thick ramen. Service was delightful and welcoming even though it was 10:30pm. I sat alone in a corner table and enjoyed the winding down of the restaurant. It was a nice ending to a long drive.

I love the black garlic ramen here. I always come here when I'm back in town. It's always consistent and I like that they have a good selection of sides you can add. I like adding bok choy to my order for some extra veggies.

A pretty good concept, loved the art the setting and the whole vibe of the staff. We came for happy hour, so we got some buns and then ramen, the ramen was very soupy and the broth was amazing, I think the meat was really flavorful but it wasn't the best one I;ve had, the buns those were amazing!!! need to come back soon to try other things on the menu, but will add it to my ramen spots. ++++++++++(order the JINYA bun and ask for crispy chili oil)+++++++++++

They do not take reservations! I went on a Tuesday at 645pm with a party of 2 and was seated immediately. The service was attentive and continuously filled my water. Had a pretty good meal! I would recommend both dishes I got - the crispy rice and the tonkatsu spicy. The tonkatsu spicy was insanely mild so I might ask for extra spice if you're looking for it to actually be spicy. Overall I'd go back and I'd recommend for ramen in Houston.

I came here with my sister last may. Cute sister date ! The food was good, but my sister loves this place. She's very into ramen! The service was great, quick! I have retuned.

Stopped in for some lychee martinis and appetizers for girls night and they did not disappoint! We sat at the bar top and our bartender was so sweet and attentive. Can't wait to try the ramen next time I come in.

We have gotten take out several times, but on a Saturday evening we finally went and ate in person! We had about a 20 minute wait, but it was worth it. The service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance inside was cozy and there were tvs playing football too. Our food came out pretty quickly and it was great as usual. It was a nice change to eat it there fresh. I got the spicy chicken ramen with the chili sauce in the side so I could add in as much as desired. I also recommend getting a seasoned egg if the ramen you order doesn't come with one. This is my favorite ramen spot in the heights area! Will be back

Flying V Harvest was fantastic. I drank that broth like I just came out of the Sahara. So good. The Impossible meat fusion is a funny add but a good protein bump. It was a few days ago but I think I'm still full from that ramen bowl. The vibe is modern high ceiling bumping music; my in-laws found it to be too loud. I think they are giving you an excuse to lean in and get a little closer to your companion. The vibe is chic yet also casual so bring whoever you want but this would work for date night. The font on the menus is squint inducing so do your research ahead of time or prepare to spend more time perusing the menu than usual, especially with the dim lighting. They offer thin or thick noodles and can mix some broth options to adjust spice level. Drinks- the smoked in front of your face whiskey is a treat and a show. Solid spot. No regrets. Salivating at the thought of the next visit.

Their ramen is flavorful and solid and their service is consistent. Parking: parking is free in the garage around the corner from JINYA. We went during the week and the garage was not packed. There's also paid street parking around the restaurant that you can find but look for signs to know when you have to pay and when you don't. Service: service here is very good. They have an army of waitresses and waiters who check on tables and we never had to ask for refills or never had to flag down someone. Our food came out in a timely manner. The one thing I will say about service is the appetizers we ordered came out right before our ramen so we had all of our food at one time which was a lot. I wish they would've spaced out the food timing a little more. Ambiance: JINYA has a modern interior and open concept. They have tables, booths, and 2 big community tables in the center of the restaurant. The restaurant playlist is hip and modern. The inside of the restaurant is dimly lit so if you have bad eyesight, get ready to use your flashlight to read the menu. Food: we ordered two ramens and the gyoza and edamame. Gyoza: these were fried well and had a gyoza sauce that came on the table. The wrapper was thin and they were not too oily. We would order this again. Edamame: this was typical edamame. Nothing too special. Would not get this again when we come back. Creamy Classic Tori-Paitian: this is a chicken ramen with wavy noodles that came with fried enoki mushrooms, chicken chasu, butter, spinach and a corn rib. This ramen was rich in flavor and had so many fun, delicious toppings. The corn run was grilled nicely and I wish I had more of them in my bowl. I'm a sucker for enoki mushrooms and this did not disappoint. I took the enoki mushrooms out of the ramen immediately so they didn't get soggy fast and that was the move if you want the mushrooms to stay crunchy. The chicken broth was rich and light which was a great combo. I finished this bowl to the last drop. JINYA Chicken Ramen: my girlfriend got the chicken ramen with a side of bamboo. Warning on the bamboo: the bamboo comes dressed in sesame oil and sole hot oil so they are a little spicy. The chicken ramen broth was once again rich with flavor and light. The chicken chase was good and this ramen comes with thin noodles instead of wavy noodles. Overall JINYA hits the spot when craving ramen or some hot soup on a cold day. The chicken broth is legit and I will be closing back to try the pork broth soon. My only qualm with JINYA is the price at over $17 per bowl of ramen. There are cheaper ramen places but JINYA flavor makes up for the priciness.

However, since crawfish season is one of my favorite times of the year, I had to come back to try their limited edition ramen. Just like my first visit, the staff were extremely friendly, the food came out incredibly quickly, and the overall experience felt comforting and welcoming. I ordered the seasonal bowl, The Crawmen, which came with crawfish tonkotsu broth, andouille sausage, bayou butter, corn, and peppers. While the bowl was clearly inspired by a crawfish boil, I felt like it could have leaned even further into those flavors with more crawfish and a stronger boil seasoning overall. The ramen was definitely delicious, but the broth did not quite have enough crawfish boil flavor to fully separate it from their standard tonkotsu ramen. At times, it mostly tasted like the original broth with andouille sausage added in. Even so, it was still an enjoyable bowl of ramen, though I would probably stick to one of their regular menu options over this seasonal special. My mom and I also shared the Karaage, which arrived very quickly while still being piping hot, crispy, and juicy inside. On the other hand, I would personally skip the Sakura Sweet Tea and Strawberry Yuzu Lemonade in the future since they mostly tasted like their regular counterparts without adding anything particularly unique. Overall, I still really enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and reliable quality of this place, especially the ramen and karaage. While the seasonal bowl did not fully live up to its concept for me, the experience itself was still enjoyable enough that I would gladly return again.

I was seriously tempted to order another plate since it only came with 6-7 pieces. Next, all the ramens came out. I got the shoyu truffle which I enjoyed a lot. I liked that you can taste the truffle flavor without it being overpowering. Also liked that the broth itself wasn't as salty as some ramen places. Noodles were al dente and all the toppings were tasty! Loved that the char sui actually had a good amount of lean meat versus it being mostly fat. The char grilled bamboo shoots were a nice touch as well. I tried my son's tonkotsu shoyu and enjoyed it too. I think my least favorite was my husband's tonkotsu gachi ramen, but he enjoyed it. We actually substituted the pork for shiitake mushrooms and when I tell y'all we were surprised at the portion We both looked at each other like "YAAASSSSSS" Next came our Ramen orders which didn't take long at all. Not that we were counting because we were INDULGED in those nachos LOL Babii rated her Oxtail Ramen a '7/10' for $25. She would've preferred to get shiitake mushrooms because she particularly didn't like the fact that the Oxtails were shredded and not on the bone (which is what we both expected when reading it). She also would've liked if they gave her a spice option since she likes spicy ramen. Unfortunately, we had to purchase a nasty 'Kappa' sauce which was not worth the $1.50. To her the portion size was A1, however we paid for the meat so it wasn't worth the $25. Now, the Vegetable Garden to me was a '8.5/10' it was good, had amazing portion size and they were not lacking in the texture department. I mean, the spinach noodles were delish, vegetable cooked very Al dente. I cannot complain on that part. To me it was missing a bit of flavor, maybe salt would've done the trick. Overall though, it did have the flavor of the mushrooms which wasn't bad. Most importantly though, I felt light after consuming my meal. Therefore, I have to give it all a high rating. GO TRY THIS PLACE OUT, ITS WORTH THE TRY
