Portion wise, the combo meal was a little bit small but understandable for businesses trying to navigate through tough times. We got the bicol Express and another pork dish with shrimp paste. The pork used in these dishes were very fatty so unfortunately, most of the meat was not edible. A little more attention to the meat selection will go a long way for patrons to enjoy their hot table food. The highlight was the beef pares noodles soup. Took some time for them to prepare it, but well worth the wait. The broth was satisfying, and noodles cooked extra soft for my mother-in-law. The beef brisket was tender and seasoned well. Overall, it was a nice first experience at this local restaurant . I will visit again soon when craving some chicken Lomi or beef pares. The least favorite was the chasu and the egg as chasu did not taste fresh, and I could not taste the char on them at all. The egg was over-cooked and under marinated which was disappointing.
