Seafood hand sliced noodles ($13.99)
Ada G.

Yummmm :) this is probably one of the best noodle places in Hamilton, which admittedly has pretty scarce options for good Chinese food. They have different types of handmade noodles including pulled, sliced and in soup. I love the texture of the hand sliced noodles, perfectly chewy with lots of flavour. I ordered the seafood stir fried noodles and really enjoyed it. The portions are also huge and my dinner has lasted for 2.5 meals! We also ordered the tofu skewers which were yum too Would definitely come back to this place! The prices are reasonable but I think they've gone up from the posted menu prices. My meal cost $18 after tax and tip for the seafood noodles.

House special soup .....yummmm

This place was a total surprise. The food/noodles were amazing. The noodles here are actually made right at the restaurant. The house special is my favourite. The short rib appetizer is also excellent.

Spicy sweet Tofu skewer and Lamb skewer

I've been craving for authentic Chinese-style noodles. I've seen this place a few times and finally found time to go in with my Caucasian friend. This place is very new I think. The Good: I ordered Lamb stock, Shaved noodle. Noodle is pretty large portion and very chewy. I like the Lamb stock soup because it is a bit sweet with some kind of Chinese medicine taste. My friend ordered Beef stock. I thought the taste is okay. Could be a bit stronger. We ordered Tofu skew and Lamb skew. We really like tofu skew. It's sweet and spicy. Price is about $8.99. Tofu skew is $1.50 and Lamb skew is $1.99. We will go back again for sure. It's not the best noodle place but it's good enough for Hamilton. LOL They also have some dry/cold noodles. May try that next time. You can ask for Chinese spicy oil for more taste. And the waitress said you can refill soup for no extra charge.

Came for lunch with a party of 6. The place is small but we got in at 11:30. They specialize in fresh noodles similar to Magic Noodle in Toronto where we usually go. The menu was quite big for a small place. I had the original and was able to opt out beef tripe and cilantro and they were able to get it right :). I got the hand cut with extra noodles and it was a good portion. I shared the noodles with my kids and they loved it. My dad had beef brisket and it looked good. We also got the lamb Kebobs which were good a tad salty. Service is typical for an Asian place. Air conditioning was a bit low so it was a bit hot in there but I'd return.

Original beef with hand pulled noodles

Yes finally a hand pulled noodle place! This place is great! I ordered the original noodle soup which comes with beef stock, sliced beef, pickled turnip heart shaped egg, cilantro and scallions as a garnish. A beefy and herbaceous soup with bouncy and silky noodles. There wasn't much beef but there was a lot of noodles! Also the shaanxi liangpi that comes with thick rice noodles topped with sesame oil, peanut sauce and chili oil. A refreshing cold noodle appetizer that's nutty with a kick. My waitress was very welcoming. Overall a great place for noodle cravings. Will come again!

Had a lunch with a friend a few weeks ago and went to Noodle Me. This place is becoming my go-to place for hand pulled noodles. I ordered the soup noodle with bbq pork (cha siu). The noodles were really fresh and cooked al dente. The bbq is standard and pretty good. Broth is clear and subtle. Overall a great meal that is rather substantial.

Rice noodles were overcooked, soggy and broken. The staff was rude and refused to replace it. Will not visit again.

The noodles were really fresh but the soup broth and toppings were lacking. The shanghai dumplings were good as were the scallion flats.

Noodles and dumplings is a diamond in the rough. Situated in Downtown Hamilton the restaurant is…read moreextremely small giving an almost street food ambiance as best it can. Seating for about 8 -10 people. This particular day I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup. A massive bowl of fresh hand made noodle and fresh wontons in a delectable broth. This broth was not hot chili wise as some other soups they offer with naked thus place unique. Each bowl is crafted with a different taste and being a small place the chef is visible to see! The attention to detail in every bowl is amazing as he takes time to perfect each to be a perfect presentation. Very hawker/street style! No need to go to Toronto it's all right here. The hours are limited during the week and more flexible on weekend as the there is only one guy (the chef) and a counter person. highly impressed highly recommend

However if you're looking for absolutely authentic noodles and dumplings served up steaming hot with the sweetest owners then go ahead and pay them a visit. Everything was so inexpensive for the portion size! The beef noodle soup was heaven in a bowl and we loved the pork wontons both steamed and fried. Lots of street parking close by but be warned there is not much seating and it's super cold if you sit by the door as there's lots of people going in and out. Seriously incredible stuff

We were quite impressed with the food here...it's actually very authentic northern style Chinese food. If you are not familiar with the food in this region, I can see why some people had negative comments. My advice to you if you are not familiar with some of their menu items, order the fried rice/noodles and fried dumplings and not items like chicken with ginger & scallion sauce. The latter dish is actually a popular Chinese chicken dish that is not commonly offered in Chinese westernized restaurants. I did see a photo of this dish on google soaking in oil which doesn't look too appealing so I would request for the ginger onion oil sauce on the side (maybe it's prepared in Northern style?). I will definitely try it on my next visit. We got the shrimp fried rice and beef brisket udon in beef bone soup. Both dishes were good and I was surprised that there were quite a few large shrimps in the rice. The soup base was a bit bland but the beef brisket was tender and flavourful. Highly recommend this dish if you are looking for comfort food. Make sure you ask for their chilli sauce which is great for the beef brisket! My favourite dish was #519 fried tofu...this was perfectly done and I requested the sauce to be on the side. The best way to eat fried tofu is to dip the hot crispy tofu with a bit of the sauce! The pan fried dumplings were only okay but they did serve it well with vinegar sauce! I will definitely be coming back on my visits to MAC U.

We were so happy to rediscover it through DoorDash delivery! We got 2 delicious ramen dishes. My husband ordered the pork with wide noodles and we both really enjoyed it! The flavor was bright, and spicy and the textures of the potatoes and veggies was so enjoyable. I got the brisket which was also delicious, but the pork was pretty special. We tried a few appetizers - edamame, garlicky spicy cucumbers with sesame and chicken wings which were delicious. We also got the buns and did not care for them - which I had forgotten we must have ordered the same before once I saw them. Does not affect the 5 star score - the ramens and other appetizers were 10/10. Can't wait to try more! I love that you can order different widths of noodles from capillary super thin - extra wide and 6 different options in between! They also have rice noodle dishes. Amazing menu + ramen!

The ambiance at the restaurant isn't the best, with the carryout area being pretty cluttered and the tables pretty plain. However, the food was great. The beef skewers and chicken wings both had phenomenal seasoning that was spicy but not too much of a kick. Their house-made chili sauce was also really tasty and it's nice that they bring it with vinegar so you can temper the heat if you overdo it. Service was friendly and even July 2022, they are still taking great COVID precautions.
