Today was definitely an off day: typically, this place goes without concerns or issues, but today was just weird. The ginger came with good and rotten tasting pieces. Thought it was the premade plate, but they brought out a fresh small bowl, and the same issue persisted. Ordered the beef ribs. It came out looking the part, being browned with grill marks, but it was mushy and raw on the inside. Not even rare, but legit milky white fat lines and raw jelly meat inside. I have been to this location twice: once last summer and once this summer, when Ontario moved to phase 3 of reopening; and I would say the quality of sushi has drastically decreased. Last time we were here, all rolls were made out of fresh ingredients and all the ingredients were cut into proper sizes, but this time, all rolls had big slices of cucumber in them. You would feel the taste of cucumber in your mouth more than salmon or shrimp. I agree that we should be understanding with the waiting staff since they have been off for 9 months, but the chefs have been preparing takeout orders during these difficult times and pandemic is not a good excuse to sacrifice the quality of the food. read more

I have order from here twice. First time the sushi was great. Beef tataki had a bit too much pepper. The second time I ordered I asked for no pepper on the beef tataki but my request wasn't acknowledged. The very last piece of sushi I ate from my second order had a piece of plastic in it. Very limited selection of AYCE tonight. It's a shame because it's a Sunday night. There was only 1 dim sum item, which was sesame seed balls. The hot kitchen items are pretty good. Eg. Broccoli chicken, basil shrimp and General Tao's chicken. The Melona and mango coconut pudding had a restricted limit of 1 per person. I decided to try this place out because I went to the spring Korean BBQ and that was pretty good. I was craving sushi and this place has good reviews. My first issue was it's impossible to find the prices online. I couldn't find any information so I had to call to figure it out. It's 20 dollars for lunch. The menu was very extensive. Probably the biggest menu I've seen for an AYCE sushi spot. They have a ton of items that I've never seen before, so I can see why the lunch price is a little bit more than usual. My biggest issue was that there were a handful of items that I ordered that never came. I ended up a good time but I couldn't try what I wanted to try on the menu because that food never came!! They were training a waitress so maybe that's why they were behind but the service wasn't great read more

Let's start with the poor quality. The sashimi was very fishy and metallic tasting. I ordered several items and everything tasted disgusting. I ordered the AYCE so I was not allowed to turn the product away. That is RIGHT!!!!! I TOLD THEM THAT THE SUSHI WAS BAD; THEY TOLD ME TO EAT OR PAY FULL PRICE!!! I once even notified Management and they did little more than to tell me that their "Fish is Fresh". I have consumed Sushi all over the Planet and this was disgusting. Smelled fishy and metallic. Totally disgusting. I refused to eat 2 Rolls and I was charged Full-Price. The Rolls reeked of Rotting Fish and Cheese, yet I was still charged. I have had Sushi from Wyoming, USA. Okinawa, JAP and Sydney, AUS. This was horrible. Management did little more than to say my palate was wrong and they would "look into it". Suck a crock of crap. Never ever ever again. I spent 3 days in the Hospital due to severe dehydration from food-poisoning. Of course the Establishment refused to help me with Medical-Bills due to their Disclosure. Never ever again. I ordered over Skip The Dishes (because COVID). A huge order of sushi, udon noodles and rolls. As my one treat this week I also included two beers which was about half the reason why I ordered. The quality in general just was not that good. Partly perhaps because I was ordering at the end of the day: the rice did not seem terribly fresh, and I had consistent issues with the sushi and rolls just breaking apart whenever they touched soy sauce. Those were merely "not great", but the Tempura was somehow not properly battered and, for lack of a better word, soggy. Didn't get the beers. I am not sure if the restaurant didn't follow up with Skip the Dishes but either way they never bothered to update their website to reflect stock levels, because this happened after I had a call from Skip to modify the order to get around another type of drink that was missing. I had to follow up with Skip the Dishes to even get a refund on that one (that may partly be because Skip the Dishes is pretty terrible). I usually don't review restaurants on take out (if I don't order it from them directly) because its often not a fair look at it given the amount of variables they don't control. But this was memorably bad even for COVID times. They do AYCE and seem to have good reviews so I may give them one more shot once things settle down, but so far completely unimpressed. read more

Was looking for a decent sushi place in Hamilton and came across spring sushi...price was average for AYCE walked in and place was modern and clean they have a full and large bar with many cocktails . The AYCE menu is decent there is a good selection of items and the food tasted good . The service was a little slow and it took a little long for stuff to come out , but the place was busy so I will give them that . To me it's just an everyday average AYCE sushi Place ......nothing over the top and just plane and simple to be honest ... It's worth a try if your in the area. read more

First thing I noticed about this place was its awesome, super intuitive and user-friendly website. :) Definitely have to admit it was part of the reason I came here. Once you are seated, the server will bring over an iPad and ask if you want to do the all you can eat or a la carte. The all you can eat costs $22.99 for dinner and there's an additional $2 surcharge, so unless you can eat an enormous amount of sushi, it might be better to order off the menu if you come on a saturday night. The iPad menu is complete with pictures of all the items you can order. It's pretty nice. You can add items to your cart, just as if you were online shopping. Enough about technology -- the sushi here is fantastic. Salmon was super fresh. They don't drown their rolls in sauce here, and the rolls are very flavorful. Their wasabi is great. I came with a friend and got to try the following: Red dragon roll, rainbow roll, spicy Salmon crunchy roll, Spicy tuna roll, eel roll. The Red dragon roll was my favorite. We were pretty impressed over the quality of sushi we ate. Lots of options and the iPad makes ordering much easier and efficient. Only downside was some orders would lag and come out when your second order went in. Server was nice and we got a "free" piece of bday cake even though we could have orders any dessert for "free" since it was all you can eat. Amazingly FRESH and Amazingly numerous menu items. Very modern interior , very clean, Ipad menu ordering makes it easy. Just remember not to tap more than once onan item that already comes cut into several pieces. Ie: Rolls or fried squid (calamari) The Sake was warm and All the food fresh and beautifully presented. I absolutely love this place, theres a delicious assortment of food and drinks to choose from categorized on an iPad that's waiting at your table. They have booth style seating, small table and chairs as well as a bar and the set up is comfortable. The food comes relatively quick and if you'd like more of an item you just order it on hour iPad menu and send it off. It's a casual atmosphere but definitely nice enough to dress up. Child friendly, children's prices that are so good it's affordable to bring the family every time. I was very confused when I first came here for an early dinner with my mom. We happened to be passing by and hungry. Nothing was really explained and we definitely were not looking to have a buffet. My mom would not have known how to order had I not been there. My parents are big fans here and considering there are few sushi options in Hamilton, Spring Sushi is probably on your list if you're a sushi lover. For me, I'm not a huge fan of sushi but I do enjoy giving it a shot every once and a while and Spring Sushi certainly provides an enjoyable dining experience. The decor is modern, sleek and exceptionally clean. Since my 'rents are regulars here, the staff has always done a great job of remembering them by name and even some of their meal options. To top it off, they are incredibly nice people. Spring Sushi offers some great value with all you can eat lunch and dinner options at $13.99 and $20.99, respectively. Especially if you are newcomer to the sushi scene and want to ease into the cuisine, you can order an assortment of small and different meal options to test your newfound palate. I found this to be a great way to taste a variety of different options without feeling awkward about not eating an entire dish of an item that I wasn't fully sure about. I'd say it was worth a fifth star, but my culinary experience as it relates to sushi isn't where it needs to be. So I can't fully comment on the taste component of their dishes. We came here based on the good reviews on Yelp but it doesn't seems like it is as good as it sounds. But probably this is one the few AYCE in Hamilton area, this place is packed and we need wait about 15 mins to get seated. The servers are in rush but helpful in a way. I was pleasantly surprised with this place.. especially for a Hamilton all you can eat sushi place. Having lived in Toronto and Vancouver, I have a pretty discerning palette for sushi. The food here was very fresh, and it came pretty quickly too! Service was friendly, and the interior is spacious, clean and modern. I really enjoyed the salmon sushi pizza and the california hand rolls (the seaweed was nice and crisp). I also liked that they didn't pack on the rice around the rolls, unlike some other places. The menu is huge and has a lot of variety and everything we tried was good. A great value for lunch at $14.50. P.S. The guava candy they keep by the entrance is also delicious!
