Came to spring sushi for the first time today. I gotta say, for an out town diner in Hamilton, this has got to be the best Japanese restaurant here in terms of value and service. I came alone for lunch after being frozen to death in my office close by. I was led to my seat and sat down in a comfortable area. The server introduced himself politely and offered to show me how to operate the iPad and his recommendations, then gave me time to order. Within 30 seconds, I got my hot tea with a plate of Japanese ginger and wasabi. Next, I ordered the spider roll. Came out within 10 minutes and I got a 8 piece role on a huge plate with different sauces decorated around the roll. By then, I was pretty impressed. The roll contained perfect rice with fresh vegetables and a crunchy soft shell crab. It was a delight having it around the 10 dollar mark. Normally don't give 5 stars but this first impression spring sushi gave me.. It was a perfect lunch experience. read more

My favourite sushi buffet in Hamilton. Sashimi and all other foods are very fresh. The bar is very nice too if you want alcohol. The price is just as expensive as any other AYCE sushi, so it's definitely better to come here ! read more

Tonight my family and I went to Spring Sushi for the first time...unfortunately it will also be our last time. We were originally impressed by the reviews, photos and website. It was very disappointing. The sushi was very small! The tempura and other deep fried items were extremely oily! I love sushi and know quality of dishes. Spring Sushi items (and I tried a lot) were very poor. We hoped for the better but got more and more disappointed. The server was nice but didn't introduce himself. The service was mediocre. It wasn't all that busy when we got there around 5:30pm. We expected more based on reviews. Alas. I've never provided a YELP review but was compelled to write one because I don't want others to be misled. Not worth $31.50 plus tips for each person, for dinner. Overall, the quality of food was the most disappointing. The sushi was mushy. The food was very salty! We never drank so much water! PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! read more

Great atmosphere, good food, and you place your orders on an iPad! My first impression on the location was positive as it was well light, colorful, and very clean. When you place an order, you use the iPad located at your table. This is amazing as it eliminates the need to wait for a waiter to come to you to grab your order sheet. The process works well and left me and my friends extremely happy! The food came out to us pretty quickly and tasted good. This is one of the better sushi locations I have eaten at and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Overall I would definitely recommend this location to a friend. read more

This restaurant was very good with the service, but I wasn't so pleased on the food. I know it's a all you can eat style restaurant. Those are known to not have the highest quality of food, but when I attended the same restaurant last year the food seemed to be way better than how it is right now. We're a family of three that visited with a reservation for a birthday on a Friday at 5:00. The restaurant was not too crowded and we were served promptly. We all had the all you can eat Sushi, you choose what you want from the menu and write the corresponding numbers on a paper. It was like a table service buffet. Everything was brought out in reasonable time and we found the server very knowledgable and friendly. Twice people other than our assigned server stopped to ask us if we needed anything else and to remove empty plates from the table. We all enjoyed the visit and will definately go back. Very clean, nice and modern environment. The staff was very friendly and orders went really fast using a cool tablet with pics of the meals to order the food. I had all you can eat dinner with 2 friends and we were all very satisfied. Sushi, maki, rolls, teriyaki chicken, beef,.... All really good. First experience and a pleasant one... Service was one of the best I ever experienced in a Sushi restaurant, staff was nice and spoke fluidly english, the ambiance was good, modern music and a nice interior design. The menu using IPad was also something else!! Very smart and user friendly, you can see all the pictures from the food you want to order. I would qualify them, to be ahead of others by far... They are a model to be copied... I was there for lunch and went with the all you can eat menu... The Sushi roll, tempura veggies and soup where really good obviously not the best I've ever had but I would say ahead of all the all you can eat places I've been in... Absolute disaster ordering here for New Year's Eve. We ordered online before noon that day, specifying that our order should be ready for 6:00. We got an email at 4:30 saying the order was "in progress" and we should make sure we arrived on time. When I got to the restaurant at 5:55, there were more than forty people waiting for their orders, one of who had ordered for 4:45. He finally got his food just before 7:00 - more than two hours late. There didn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to who was served when. Some people who ordered for 6:00 (not us!) got their orders before people who ordered at 5:15. We waited until 7:30 and left, cancelling our order by email. Fortunately, we didn't pay ahead of time, so all we lost was two hours of our time. I assume people who paid ahead of time had to wait or they would lose their money. I understand things can be busy on New Year's Eve, but there is no excuse for this. read more

So I dined here tonight for my birthday. My wife and I love sushi but this place fell well below our standards. The spicy crab and salmon rolls were not appetizing at all and the eel rolls had more filler than eel. The service was prompt that's for sure. For 26$ a person there are definitely better options out there. read more

I always love Spring Sushi , the new Legas Roll is my new favourite. However i was quite disappointed with our server. He seems very curt and seemed annoyed every time we ordered. It's all u can eat. We are going to order a lot. I don't get out often and this was a special treat. The serve made it feel like we were putting him out. He actually asked a few times if we were done yet??? I found that rude. Then he actually took our iPad away. It's the hospitality sector. Not the hostility sector. The food was great as usual. Atmosphere lovely, just takes one person to make your experience less than exceptional. Disappointed with this server. Didn't catch his name, but if the owner/ manager pays attention should not be hard to figure out. Hopefully it was a one off. The environment inside was cool and unique. All you can eat for a low price of $14 for an adult lunch. Items came quickly too and there is a lot of vegetarian options on the menue. I got miso soup to start and it almost came instantly, my mango rolls came shortly after and they were delicious. I also got the sweet potato tempura roll which i can say is my new favourite. The iPad system is great! The menu is on the iPad, and you order what you want by clicking on the pictures. You can pick how much of that food platter you want by pressing the minus and plus signs on the bottom corner of the picture. The beef fried rice was great and so were the sushi rolls. The udon noodles were awesome and really brang out the flavor of the rest of the meal. It is a really modern place with lots of college and high school students. The prices were good and the service was really helpful( Probably because of the fact that they were under video survailance!) This place really purrs the future in futuristic! read more

Mediocre food for too high of a price. Food was quite oily and service could have been way better. If you are wanting to pay $100 for 2 adults and 1 kid, and want a buffet (all you can eat) I recommend just going to mandarin. Honestly one of the better/cleaner AYCE sushi restaurants in the Hammer. Prices are similar to any around. Sashimi only at dinner as per usual and good variety on the menu. Lots of staff and generally attentive if needed. Don't believe they take debit, so best to bring cash or credit. read more

The ambience is great. The service is brisk and professional. I dig the iPad menus, but I had to ask for the à la carte menu and was only offered the all-you-can-eat option... $26. We got two entrées, and yam tempura to start all for $23. The dishes were very tasty, but the chicken was boiled I think, and very rubbery. More generous portions than the ones pictured in the menu. We can only finished half of our food, and I'm sure it will be just as good tomorrow. Lots of young people here, and definitely the place to consider coming back to you. read more

The only thing is if it's a prime time there is usually a long wait, so I'd recommend making a reservation in advance. Pretty good ayce sushi. Service was very good. I dropped by on a Wednesday night for dinner and it was busy. There was even a line up out the door by 7 pm. Where they really stand out is the portion sizes for the hot dishes. Most ayce places have single serving sizes for the noodles and udon and rice dishes. Not this place - about 2 servings in each dish so be careful not to over- order! Torched sushi seems to be the rage right now. read more

The food overall was a little above average but I am giving five stars for the exceptional service provided by Sabrina. She was super attentive and kind - took our empty plates, gave us napkins without asking, filled our waters periodically, and made sure we had everything that we ordered.
