    Kimchee Pork Dry Ramen!!! Yum!
    Stephen B.

I've gone to Jin Ramen about 10 times but not for the past few years. Went last night and it was just as I remembered and really good. I had the Kimchee Pork Dry Ramen which I had not had before. Excellent! We got seated at the bar without a reservation on a Thursday evening. Our server was attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. We shared a carafe of sake as well. So good!

Stopped here for dinner before a show at the Beacon. The team is hustling (in a good way) getting people in, fed, and out. We sat, got drinks, ordered, got our gyoza, and before we finished it, our ramen arrived. The kakuni ramen broth was sooo good - maybe because it warmed me up after the cold walk - it was just delicious and went down so quickly. And then we were out the door again lol. We'd stop back!

I felt the Kuro Shio ramen was ok. It wasn't as flavorful as I'd like. We did also get their plum wine that I loved. It was perfectly sweet and very delicious. They have so many other items on the menu I'd love to come back and try. Service was great and it was a cozy ambiance, perfect for winter

LOVED this place! such good ramen. I got the black garlic one and it was SUPER savory!!! the broth had so much flavor and the meat was SO GOOD! i sometimes am not a huge fan of chasu because it's not super flavorful but theirs was delicious! we went there on a weekday and were able to get seated right away and the service was super quick! definitely adding this cute spot to my list!

Solid ramen spot with good lunch specials. There's a variety of ramen, sobas, and rice bowls to choose from, all which look filling and tasty. I had the tonkatsu ramen and felt like the noodles were endless! The ramen probably could've benefitted from a bit more toppings to balance it out, but it was still a solid bowl overall. For apps, we enjoyed the shishito peppers and Japanese potato salad, but we felt that the potato salad was a comically small scoop and not worth the price. FYI, if your table spends over $50, you have a chance of spinning the prize wheel for a free dish during your next visit!

They were playing Beyoncé the entire time I was there, so you know... brownie points immediately. Customer service was great, and this was actually the first restaurant I tried when I moved to New York. I had the Black Truffle Ramen... delicious, very filling, and honestly a lot of food! Ambience is really nice too, definitely good for a date night or even solo dining. I sat at the bar alone. The only downsides: prices are a bit high, and the menu has a lot of options (which can be great for some people, but a little overwhelming for me). Overall: not the worst spot on the UWS by far, but also doesn't completely stand out. Still worth a try if you're in the area.

The Ramen was good here, but I've had better in the city, but in general, I still had a good experience and service was really nice

Volcano Tonkotsu Ramen and Shio Ramen

We absolutely loved Jin Ramen and will be back every time we are in the city. It wasn't too crowded when we got there and were seated immediately. Loved the decor and music that was playing throughout our time, wasn't too loud for conversation. We ended up ordering volcano tonkutsu ramen and shio ramen. All entrees come with a free yuzu which was delicious and very refreshing. The ramen came out very quickly and fast became my boyfriend's favorite. He finished his very quickly and he said it tasted like teriyaki to him which he loves. Mine was delicious as well but you must like a high amount of spice. The volcano house tare was a bundle of flavor and spice that went very well with the creamy broth. Price point was very reasonable and the amount of ramen you get is more than enough. This was exactly what we needed after a full day of walking around the museums and a short walk from our hotel and the natural museum of history. We will definitely be back.

Ordered on Grubhub. My wait time started as average 30-35 mins, but eventually shifted to over an hour, plus. Eventually it went down, and though my food was late it didn't take as long as it projected. But timing aside, the food just was not good. The portion size was amazing, I'll give them that. But the broth was just...lacking in flavor. Just tasted salty, with no depth or richness. For context I LOVEEEE ramen and order it in/out 6-8 times a month. But this broth was just ew. I also got chicken gyoza and they were mid as well. I didn't finish the meal and requested a refund. Wouldn't order from here again.

More like a 31/2 and that's only because I really don't understand all the hype around ramen. I've eaten here before, my husband and the boys really like Jin so I agreed to go for lunch. I ordered the Spicy Tonkitsu - a flavorful tonkotsu broth with some spice to it. 2 small slices of cooked pork, bamboo shoots and a full bowl of noodles was inside. The broth was good and had a nice bite, it could have been a little less salty. The noodles over powered the dish. I know that's what ramen is, and it just doesn't do it for me. I also thought $17 ( lunch special price) was a bit pricey for a bowl of just soup and noodles even if it was quite large. Best part of my meal was the complimentary homemade lemonade. This was special and I would come back just for this. My son and husband liked their ramen so I'm sure it's just me.

    Sake Flight

Good ramen spot that can get pretty busy at times. I got their Tonkotsu Ramen and it had good chewy noodles and a hearty broth. The service was a little short-handed and were busy so got our Sake Flight midway through our meal unfortunately. Nonetheless, a good comfort ramen spot but service can be improved.

It's basically winter in NYC, so the only correct thing to do is to cozy up at a Ramen joint! Decided to hit up this UWS ramen spot on a random Wednesday evening. It's really cozy and kinda tight in there, but it is a vibe. My party ordered the green beans and the wings to start. Both were delicious, but the wings by far were my favorite. As for the ramen, they were good, not my favorite. The staff recommended what I got (sorry forgot the name), but I think that it lacked flavor. However my friend's ramen was far more delicious, so I think it's just the one I chose. I would definitely be back. Food came out quick and not too expensive.

My partner took me to Jin Ramen for the nostalgia factor, as he used to come here very often when going to school with his friends. There was only one other party there when we came on a Saturday at 12pm. It says online that they have daily lunch specials, but it's only for weekdays. We ordered: Kara-age ($13) - Boneless fried chicken thighs sprinkled with togarashi. Served with spicy mayo dip, a side of slaw, and a slice of lemon. Chicken was juicy, with a good crisp. Shio Ramen ($18) - Included house noodles with a light, salt-based chicken broth infused with yuzu and togarashi. This was supposed to be a little spicy, but I didn't taste any spice. And I didn't taste yuzu in the broth. The half soft boiled marinated egg was delicious and I found the bamboo shoots very well marinated. The chasu had a good fattiness, but the lean parts tasted dry. The rest of the ramen was just okay. Shoyu Ramen ($18) - Included house noodles with smokey soy sauce-based chicken broth infused with ginger and garlic. I preferred this broth over the shio.

Decent ramen spot with reasonable prices. The volcano ramen definitely brings the heat, so only go for it if you're into spicy food.

The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. I only wish they offered the super spicy ramen with chili oil on the side like the good old days, but the standard spicy packs a punch too! The regular size ramen was plenty, but don't let that stop you from trying the decadent Mega with all of the toppings. The food came out hot and fast too, so my table of two was in and out in less than 45 minutes easily. The menu is pretty straightforward with few choices that are all delicious - a perfect spot for the quintessential quick bite and a fair price to match. Vibe-wise, this place is a true hole in the wall with steps leading down from street level into a basement. The inside is packed and intimate so I'd come with a small party such as a friend or a date who's into good food. There was no line when I visited on a Sunday at opening time, but it got packed quickly so be prepared to wait on the sidewalk or arrive at noon. As someone who's moved out of NYC years ago, I made an effort to visit Totto Ramen every time I come back and now Toribro has taken that spot in my itinerary.
