I went full Ichiraku mode and ordered the classic Naruto ramen. Have I had better ramen before? Believe it! But did I enjoy this spot? Perhaps... My bestie--who's currently grinding in law school like she's training for the Chunin Exams--wanted to try this place because she loves Naruto. So, major points for the theme! But the food? Just okay. It didn't quite hit like a warm bowl of ramen after an S-rank mission. Would I return? Probably not. But don't let that stop you guys from chasing your dreams and becoming Hokage!

Ground pork noodle ramen ( tan tan ramen)..sooo good..perfectly spicy, but not overboard.

This place is amazing. Its very small, but the most incredible waitress there is so on top of keeping the service top notch, not only is she kind, friendly, knows the menu inside out...she remembers you from last time, and your order!!! She makes the whole place turn over quickly with expert efficiency and ease. Im sure the cooks, who you can see behind the counter, have something to do with all of it as well! Lol The food is sooo good that I dream of it,always craving the soup and gyoza and going back often ..I love the Tan Tan ground pork noodle soup and fried pan pork gyoza. All of the dishes I see come out look so delicious! I see people on dates there, families with kids, single people..they can handle it all. Go! Enjoy!!!!

So I ordered Naruto Ramen for delivery today through Uber Eats. I honestly couldn't remember if I liked this place or not, so my siblings and I decided to give it another shot. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen with chicken instead of pork belly, my brother got the Curry Ramen with chicken, and my sister got what I think was the Seafood Ramen. They both enjoyed theirs, but unfortunately, I didn't love mine. The spicy miso broth tasted a lot like buffalo sauce, which was kind of strange for ramen--it just didn't hit the right flavor notes for me. I ate it, but I wouldn't order that again. We also tried the crab rangoon, and it tasted a little stale--not super fresh, which was a bit disappointing. Delivery itself was smooth and on time, and the restaurant does have lots of good reviews, so maybe I just picked the wrong dish. I don't eat beef or pork, so finding good chicken ramen can be tricky. I might give Naruto Ramen another try with a different option, but this round was just okay.

This place was amazing. From the decor to the food. The best ramen I ever had I don't think I could go back to store bought. The curry ramen is so amazing so flavorful it was so tasty. The chicken in it is seasoned so well everything was exceptional. The service is great they have one waitress but she gets it done. I did pick up my food but next time I am definitely eating here. Bowls are 19 each and I had fried rice it was also good at 9 dollars.

I could've sworn I wrote a review for this place earlier this year. Anyway, it's anime themed, as its name implies, and the walls and shelves feature a myriad of anime characters. Honestly though, it's less Naruto and more DBZ and One Piece, not that it matters. Food-wise, the Naruto ramen (with added spice) is my favorite, and they do make chicken karaage well here too. Both are good value for the money. I've tried the Curry ramen and tantan ramen and would pass on both. Prices are fair. There's not a ton of seating for large parties, but any party around 4 people should be fine. I've been coming here for a while as my go-to ramen nearby and I don't regret it.

Had a lunch today at Naruto on Broadway. I'm very much fan of shoyu ramen and not many shoyu ramen places in New York. Many tonkotsu base or thick chicken broth. I had a gyoza and Naruto ramen today and I enjoyed very much. Gyoza was good but for us Japanese should be with vinegar soy sauce with hot chili oil witch we call raayu. They had hot sauce but different from raayu. That was only what I point out but otherwise great everything else including their wait staff. House made gyoza and nothing special but great plain shoyu ramen. Only a few such a great shoyu ramen place in New York after "Kitakata Ban-Nai " closed. I also point out great waiter today.

A solid bowl of ramen given this is the UWS. I was really happy with my Naruto ramen. I got it spicy and there was a good amount of spice with some nice chunks of meat. My party of two was seated pretty much immediately on a weekday for dinner. Service was smooth and they checked in with us pretty regularly to refill drinks/ask how things were. This Naruto ramen location is definitely one of the better ones in the city. I'll be back.

Walked in 40 mins before closing and they were still taking walk-ins but they had completed cleaned the bar area. I was seated at a table on my own. There was one other table being occupied. My server came back a few times after dropping off the menu to take my order. I was reading yelp reviews but didnt take more than 5 minutes so i knew they were rushing to close up. 1/5 Cilantro bomb (Tom yum ramen) - i ate it bc i was hungry. The broth didn't have depth and did not taste like it was tom yum inspired. It had a bit of a kick and there were 3 lemon slices dropped directly into the soup which seemed like the extent of the tom yum influence. On the menu it is also called cilantro ramen. There is a lot of cilantro on it but that did not translate to the broth. There were only a few pieces of chicken and small pieces at that. Pretty disappointing bowl. 2/5 Karaage - i saw someone's review say it was too crispy. What i got wasnt very crispy. Perhaps they were trying to get the food out quickly. It was very hot- too hot actually but I'm glad it was fresh. The chicken was tender and easy to eat once it was cool enough but not what i was expecting for karaage and the portion was smaller than i thought it would be. Both items were so disappointing that i am not even interested in trying other items here. I had heard a lot of good things about Naruto Ramen but after trying it i do not understand the hype. Presentation of the food and service were good but beyond that was pretty disappointing.

I came here after reading the reviews. I got off work later and wanted something hot, fast and not too heavy on my stomach. I order the cilantro bomb and it was pretty good. The broth was tasty, but the chicken was pretty basic and didn't have much flavor. The hot chili oil definitely made it better. The restaurant is small but clean, friendly and fast service. It wasn't the best ramen I've ever had but I'd still go back again.

So much food. This was amazingly tasty and definitely not the flavor profile I was expecting. The atmosphere was very laid back at lunch and the service was prompt. I very much enjoyed my time there.

Very delicious, no frills ramen. The spicy Naruto ramen had great flavor without being overtly spicy. A great option when you need a big bowl of ramen to just help you get thru the day. Unlike other local spots the noodles don't stand out probably because they are not handmade. It's a small shop with friendly staff. The anime decor and toys make you feel like it's after school in front of your tv free of worries. Will define my be back!

I rarely give out 5 stars, but after much consideration (if I could give partial stars I would say this is a 4.7 star), I have given it the highest accolades that yelp will allow. This is my go-to ramen joint being cheap and easily accessible. They also have a Naruto Ramen in the UES which I frequent more often than the one here. Note, this is a Soy Sauce based broth/soup so if you don't like light and some what watery, you won't be able to fully enjoy the ramen. While the ramen used to only be $8-$9 for their regular bowl, it is now $11-$12 for the regular. Still though, after adding in and requesting super super spicy, this ramen always hits the spot. Don't forget to also order the Fried Rice which while unhealthy is a great to-go meal after a long night out.

Tom yum Ramen to go. Delicious and filling at $18

I just defaulted to Ichiran's suggested levels for everything which made it fast and easy. Once you're at your assigned cubbyhole, you can hang your coat up on the wall behind you and fill up your water cup at the machine also behind you. You don't even see the face of the person who brings out the ramen which gives the whole process a mysterious bank teller vibe. With all this, the classic tonkotsu ramen ($23) with slender noodles nearly gets overshadowed, but don't fret since it's fantastic. I believe when you're done, you just get up and leave. After my first visit: This is my favorite ramen restaurant on the planet. It's my perfect…read morerestaurant - but not because of the ramen. Because of the desserts! First - Tonkotsu (pork) ramen was perfectly balanced. The broth was deeply flavorful but not heavy, almost like an 80/20 hybrid of tonkotsu and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. Noodles were springy and not overcooked, and the roasted pork had a slightly smoky flavor and was flavorful itself, not just protein and texture like many other ramen joints. We also had the edamame appetizer - super flavorful and addictive, and we wound up ordering a second one (for our party of four) after devouring the first one. Now here's why it's my favorite ramen restaurant- my favorite dessert is banana pudding, and Tonchin's signature Tokyo banana dessert is an elevated banana pudding that makes magnolia bakery look like amateur hour. Plenty of fresh banana and a carmelized banana on the side with a balanced pudding that's not too heavy - this is peak banana pudding. So it has my favorite ramen and favorite dessert. But can it do better? Yes. It can also have...my second favorite dessert! Tonchin has excellent shave ice desserts that reminded me of Korean bingsu. We had the strawberry and it was fresh, bright and had lots of strawberry flavor. Delightful. Service was excellent and the ambiance of the space is dark and elevated. Couldn't decipher distinctly from other top notch ramen so it wasn't knock your socks off. From now on I'll order the base dish when I go places so I can judge better. The gyoza was cooked very nicely, came sizzling and the bun with meat was a little ugly, it looked boiled and unappetizing. The taste was just okay. The topping on it was notable. The waitress didn't help us at all when ordering. We weren't bowled over with the food, although it was noted the meat in the ramen was high level. It hit the spot but I will try other places in the search for our "return forever" ramen place.
