    The sauce was terrible
    Stephanie W.

Wanted to try a new spot a few months ago. Worst decision I made this year! Ordered sesame chicken and asked for it well done. What I got was boiled overly breaded "chicken" balls swimming in a thin sauce. The chicken was pink inside!!! Menu said "deep fried" chicken. I wonder if they only meant the broccoli. I tried to pan fry it and add seasonings, but the taste and texture was too much to bear. I picked off the broccoli and threw the rest in the trash. Only thing that was edible was the vegetable soup. Don't bother with this location please.

Pretty good Chinese food. This take out spot has been here a long time and it's run like it. Many times there is a bit of a language barrier when ordering at Chinese restaurants and I am sure many can attest to this happening at least once (not that that is a problem) but the person taking my order who is presumably Jin Lin or the owner and was pleasant about it. He was chatty with some regulars who walked in to order/pick up which is a good look. I always look for unique things in Chinese restaurants to differentiate them. This one has some the pictures of the entrees in spanish due to Orange being a heavily latino populated area. I think this is a nice touch and compliments the welcoming attitude the owner had. The food was Solid. More or less the up to par American-Chinese cuisine we know and love.

Based on the positive reviews, thought I'd give this place a try. Wish I wouldn't have and had gone to my local favorite Chinese spot! Maybe it was an off day, but the wontons in my soup were hard and the broth tasted awful! My chicken and shrimp in garlic sauce was shy on protein with only 5 popcorn shrimp and 5 small pieces of chicken. Sauce was gooey to boot! The food was not awful, and I've certainly had worse, but I won't be back. Check it out though, maybe you'll have a better experience!

a take out box of food

The broccoli and brown-ish sauce are the highlights of the meal, so sweet and savory.

The rice was a beautiful brown color, not that bright yellow. It was so extremely tasty, the beef was tender and savory. The ribs were tender and delicious, with a well-balanced flavor. It came with an egg roll that I gobbled up. Next time, I will try the chicken wings (I was watching a guy cut them up and almost added them to my order) and some roast pork egg foo young. If my next experience is as good as the first, I will be picking up food for dinner next time my wife wants Chinese.

Even so, I make my order over the phone, ordering a small, not a large of the delicious Vegetable Mei Fun (due to being quite hungry after a smaller lunch of only 5g of protein a few hours earlier to an appointment). The price difference is a few dollars between the small and large. Still, what if one shows up at the eatery with only enough money to pay for the order set through the phone? The Vegetable Mei Fun is really tasty; my first bite consists of a few onions which are full of light savory-zesty flavor, a main highlight of the meal; every other part of the meal mixes in well, especially with the noodles which carry the flavors well. I don't find a need to add any other sauce though do add sauce to try the flavors mixing. All of the sauces mesh well with the ingredients though are not necessary. The original flavors of the meal are more than fine. The meal is quite filling. The eatery does not seem to have any set place for a customer to eat indoors. The eatery accepts different forms of payment. There is a dollar charge if one uses a debit card (which may be in connection with a minimum order amount).
