I stop by this restaurant when I want a good house special lo mein or some good crispy fries. So far hasn't disappointed.

Peking house is a solid Chinese food joint. Had Mongolian beef and Singapore mei fun. I would recommend getting both extra spicy which we did (wish was little spicier but solid). What's amazing is that if you order right there food is done in under 10 minutes! If you want food asap definitely go in person to order and pickup. They are cash only or Venmo which is fine. Will definitely be back for their Peking Duck. Ambiance is a no frills limited seating clean takeout joint. Order for pickup. Right next to dry cleaning place and CVS so if running errands location is good. Plenty of parking. read more

This is a classic Chinese takeout restaurant. Service is pretty fast and prices are reasonable. I enjoyed their broccoli and garlic sauce combo plate with fried rice. It was a good portion size. I usually order from Jin Lin in Orange but thought I try a new Chinese restaurant. This restaurant has parking on site as they're located in a shopping plaza. They're mostly a cash only restaurant but if you don't have cash you can Zelle or venmo them too. Also, they delivery in town as well as neighboring towns (Orange, south Orange, etc). Last night, I ordered their chicken wings with shrimp fried rice, fried plantains, and shrimp egg rolls. The chicken wings were nicely seasoned and their rice were very fresh. It had a good amount of onions and shrimp in it which was perfect. The plantains were bland but then again that's expected as Chinese restaurant usually don't add salt to plantains. the food is tasteless. what happened it used to be very good? ordered 4 dishes and the only thing that had any flavor was the "hot and sour " soup everything else was not very good. sorry about the review but you need to know when things have changed and no for the better. have the Chef put more pride in his dishes. read more

I have my own personal General Tsao rating based off of King Wok on Varick St in New York's West Village (a 10). Peking Houses General gets a 7.5. Which is great. A significant bonus is having it with french fries instead of rice because "yes". Though the fries were $1 extra and fries do suffer when confined to a styrofoam container and a plastic bag for any length of time. Still, good value and fast happy service. ;-) read more

If you're reading this, you've got to understand that this is a straight up quick Chinese food joint. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I have ordered from this place many times now, and just decided to leave a positive review because they are always good. I live at what must be the outer range of their delivery radius, but the food always arrives promptly, boxed up nicely, and while there's nothing extraordinary about it - it's straight up Chinese takeout - it's nevertheless fresh and tasty. Not too salty/greasy, not overcooked or mushy, veggies come hot out of the wok. Very courteous delivery person, too, I always tip generously, as they're an honest outfit! read more

I wasn't expecting much at all when I ordered at first (because it's just takeout Chinese food) but the lo mein is seasoned & has a nice spicy flavor also. They also give good portion sizes for the price! They only take cash in store but if you go on Google you can find their website and order online with a credit card. The food is really really good. I would order from them again just because it's that great. But they do not give you utensils and very stingy on the soy and duck sauce. Also, they called over 60 cents because I got egg in my fried rice. So it was a bittersweet experience but I would try them again. Just make sure to ask for sauces and utensils. read more

The food here is overall good, the sesame chicken is amazing! They have a few tables but it's really meant to be a takeout place. They're in a shopping center so parking is simple enough and they do delivery. So 4 stars for the just the food. I don't recommend sit in dining though. read more

You know when you wash out a pot after a large meal:? A few mushroom pieces, random green shit and some globules of fat remain? OK so we have covered the hot and sour soup. Subgum Wanton? Some sheets of mystery meat in that super slimy msg glaze tossed with the handful of overcooked broccoli that stood in for "no beef, Extra veggie". the Wonton was in the bag I thought was noodles for the soup. For the friends chow mein, see above but add some carrots and cabbage. Still no noodles in sight. We get Delivery from here about once a week. It's good. Pork Lo Mein, and General Tso's are great.

Overall they do a better than average job - at least for this area. Their fried dumplings are very good and Singapore Mei Fung is really really good. Wish theytook credit cards though. The cash only thing is really annoying. read more
