4. General Tso's Chicken

Delicious and fast delivery (via DoorDash). Very generous portions and reasonable prices.

I ordered a few party trays for a dinner. It was quick and easy. No issues. I ordered egg rolls, sesame chicken, general tso's chicken, shrimp and broccoli. They even threw in two free trays of rice. Great service and even better food. Will be returning for more!!

I think I've finally found it....GOOD Chinese food in this area!!! The food is fresh and delicious. They don't skimp on portions and prices are good. My sweet & sour chicken was huge chucks of perfectly fried chicken. Still juicy- not dried out. Scallion pancakes were delicious and those fun crunchy bits places generally send are homemade and edible (as opposed to the gross prepackaged ones you find else where. Sad we didn't find this spot sooner. It's just down the road though and we will be back!!!

Our go to Chinese take out. The quality is great and good is delicious. We haven't tried a dish we didn't enjoy. Highly recommended.

One of the better Chinese choices in the area. I've been happy with all the food I've had here, minus one order that was pretty oily.

6/8/26 (Update) Hunan Taste is consistently good!…read more Myself and two friends came here on a weeknight. The restaurant is a BYOB. Indoor and (weather permitting) outdoor seating here. We shared platters of Mongolian beef, Grand Marnier chicken and Grand Marnier shrimp. The food is always very appetizing and plentiful. Service was good this evening. However, service can be off on weekends. Always best to make reservations. Even more so on weekends. Takeout is available from Hunan Taste. The restaurant has a small private parking lot. In addition, you can always park in the next door Acme parking lot.

The restaurant's dining room was still spacious and nicely adorned, and they even had a lovely outdoor patio, though it overlooked an Acme parking lot. Our server was a delight and completely went above and beyond for us. The food, however, was mediocre. The Pork Soup Dumplings were our favorite item, as their broth and meat were extremely flavorful. However, about two of the six had holes in them, so some of the soup had escaped before they were even removed from their bamboo steamer. The Spicy Chicken Dumplings came in a generous portion of ten, but the fiery poultry inside had a strong "chicken" flavor, if that makes sense. Lastly, we had the Chicken Chow Fun, which was extremely bland and full of gummy noodles. That chicken was tender and had a better flavor, though. I just looked back at my last review to see that we had ordered the same noodle dish previously, and, while it similarly had very little sauce on it, the plate had been much more enticing back then. I also saw a bunch of gnats flying around near our table, which was not appetizing, but in fairness, it was a very hot evening. Despite our mixed experience, the dishes being delivered to neighboring tables all looked amazing. I would like to think it was just an off-night and would be willing to give the place another shot.

This is my 2nd time back! I've only ordered take out! But …read more.... Omg You can tell this is freshly made at the store. The dumplings have such a delicious texture and taste. This leveled up my expectations on scallion pancakes omg they were so thin and crispy delicious!!! Definitely great service Im guessing it's the owner she had your order ready to go I work in pompton plains so I'll order right before I leave work and by the time I get to Parsippany the order is ready! I definitely want to go and dine in but I'm always in the Parsippany area after work But take out is a good enough for me. From just walking in the restaurant is so clean and organized. They have a video explaining the process of hand pulled noodles which is cool! I'm a nerd like that I love educational videos. Also you see where the chef is making everything too like a window to see when he makes the hand pulled noodles. Definitely recommend this place ! Ample parking and very easy to get too. If you want a nice comforting bowl of soup with hand pulled fresh noodles this is your place!!! Enjoy!!!! Note I put 2 pictures of my 1st order with them Stir fried noodles and braised beef hand pulled noodles soup yummy

My food was waiting for me, which I was happy about. I ordered scallion pancakes as an appetizer and sauteed noodles with chicken and vegetables as my entree. The food tasted great; however, for takeout packaging, my sauce for the pancakes was not secure, so it spilled in my bag. Other than that, the noodles tasted really good (just needed a sprinkle of salt/soy sauce), and I enjoyed my meal. I will order from there again.

I've tried just about every Chinese restaurant over the years living in West Orange, and this is my favorite by far. They also recently added a great bubble tea bar, which I really enjoy. I did not go inside but our order was prepared quickly and correctly -I'm told this has never been a problem. My food? The shrimp roll was a good appetite whetter, a little cleaner than a typical egg roll with the dyed pork. The young chow fried rice was a very nice portion in a quart rice container, full of different meats. Downside that I had to pull shrimp tails, but upside that there were like 6 of the fellas. Chicken, beef, pork all represented. Glad I got a different taste. Sesame chicken and General Tso were ordered by other family members. Hard to tell the two apart when I tasted them, typical Americanized dishes. The kid (omg no longer a toddler) got lo mein, nothing special but nothing bad. Overall, I got American Chinesed out as a kid, so this isn't my cup of tea but for others, everything came together well. If I were to point out one issue: they use small amounts of MSG in their sauces. It's why I got fried rice.

We started with the fried Spring Rolls, perfectly paired with a delicious and light sauce. Entrees were Masaman curry (w/chicken) and Pad Kee Mow. Both were excellent. Pad Kee Mow has this incredible Smokey flavor and was perfect vegetarian style. Meat would have distracted from the flavors. I have to comment on all the fun details in the decor; right down to the fun, Thai movie posters in the restroom, and even the little decorative tray they bring the bill on. All of it adds to the experience. Shout out to Alex, our waiter, who is very good at his job! If you find yourself in Montclair, don't miss this fun, little place.

We ordered the green curry and pad kee mao, and both were packed with flavor. The pad kee mao had that smoky wok-char flavor with perfectly chewy noodles and just the right level of spice. Also loved the fresh coconut water to cool everything down between bites. Big shoutout to Stephenie, who took amazing care of us throughout the meal. She was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Definitely a great vegetarian-friendly spot in Montclair if you're craving flavorful Thai comfort food.
