Sup Jim. My guys at this establishment know what they're doing. They aren't here to make you some fancy bullshit, just American classics done to perfection. Coming here will be a little bit of a learning of curve so let me help you. Walk in grab a tray AND silverwear if u don't grab these things you're gunna look like a chump. Jim will take your order pay attention if he has to ask you twice you should just fuckin leave and reevaluate you're life. This next part is important do NOT talk on the phone while in line or you guessed it you will be a chump. You will then grab a drink and pay. Then take a seat and eat your delicious gift from the gods. When you're done eating you're gunna think you need to bring your dish somewhere you're wrong. You leave it on the table but don't be gross stack all your stuff on the tray give Jim a nod and walk out feeling better about yourself. Ps if you get Grubhub from Jim's Deli I hate you. Excellent cheap breakfast/brunch/lunch, fast friendly service, clean and pleasant. This is a great greasy spoon for a quick hangover brunch. Not sure what the wait is like when students are around. Went for 1pm on a holiday Monday and it was at 20% capacity. Coffee is the only thing missing. I'm not a fan of New England Coffee. Would have loved a good dark roast- a latte would have been divine. An espresso machine would definitely earn them that 5th star. All in all, a good find! read more

I love Jim's Deli! Definitely a huge go-to for me when I lived in Oak Square just down the street...First off its got boar's head deli meats which is already huge in my book, aside from that it's got pretty generous portions, and great chicken sandwiches! read more

The first time I walked into Jim's I knew it was the place for me. I have never gotten a meal there that I was unsatisfied with. In fact I have never gotten a meal there that I was less than absolutely thrilled about. The service is fast, and incredibly friendly. Fantastic breakfast, a definite must, the staff is welcoming, very friendly, and not afraid of making accommodations, my girlfriend doesn't like most breakfast meat, so she asked for extra toast instead, they said "OK, no problem!" it was awesome. The cafeteria style dining definitely made the service fly, and even though a party of three walked in in front of us, we still waited no more than 10 or 12 minutes for our food! read more

What an awesome diner-like breakfast! Quick, Delicious, and BIG portions. I was a first timer at Jim's and when we walked in the guys behind the counter were super friendly and made you feel like you were right at home. They have a different set up than I have ever seen but you get in line and order right with the guys that are making everything! So while they're chatting it up with you they are also making your food right there in front of you. Comes out super fast and you just slide down to the register to pay and then find a table and enjoy your breakfast/ lunch. Everyone was extremely nice and the food truly hit the spot. read more

So good. Worth the wait even on a Sunday morning. The menu is huge, and is great for both breakfast and lunch. I have gotten many items for breakfast, and each has been great. Every once in a while you find a gem. This place looks like a simple storefront outside. As you enter your greeted by a cart with trays and silverware. I must admit I missed it at first. The idea is to take a tray and silverware and proceed to the counter. So the menu is overwhelming, but you need to come more then once just to get threw it. They cook your meal right in front of you while you wait. A well oiled machine comes to mind when I watch these guys work. Everyone was very pleasant and wanted to make sure your visit was enjoyable. The food was fantastic to say the least. Great proportions. Seat yourself. A great overall experience, I was in the area for a short time but I will be back. Great job guys! read more

Definitely a no frills place, so if you're looking for that, I would go elsewhere. They have an extensive menu for breakfast and lunch/dinner, and the prices are fantastic (especially for how much food that you get). Hands down the best deli in Boston! Go with the Brookline sandwhich and you will not be disappointed!

First- the best line cook ever. *Perfectly* cooked food! Perfect Reuben, Tina melt, fries. The menu is also amazing. However, a perfectly cooked sandwich still has to taste good, and overall everything was so bland, the experience of eating was mainly textural. Great texture, but... I poured pepper over everything, including the "spicy" fries and still... nada. The tuna salad needs to be good all by itself- melting cheese on it doesn't make tuna salad flavorful. AThe spicy fries may have had some paprika on them, but the flavor was nearly identical to the regular fries, but with a crunchier texture. So 3/5 for perfectly textured and cooked food, but -2 for a lack of flavor- nothing tasted like cardboard, but it was just very, very plain. read more

I really wanted to like this place, as it was advertised on phantom gourmet and it's nice reviews, but everything was bland. I have been going here since I was at BC and the place trumps the Eagle's Deli. The Greek owners are polite and cater to the customer. The food selection is really impressive. They have everything. The prices are OK considering this is Brighton and the quality of food. They are better than any deli in the area. The only thing they could improve on is their hours. They should be open past 4p, but they also open early. But overall, dont bother going anywhere else - Jim's is your answer! read more

I'm a huge fan of B.L.Ts, this place had one of the best B.L.T's I've had in a while. Nice thick flavorfull bacon with iceberg lettuce I believe and the bread! I totally asked for sourdough and it was the best choice I've ever made. This is easily the best sandwich shop in Brighton Center. read more

Love this place! Been going there for years! If I am remotely even close to west of the city Ill stop in for a delicious buffalo chicken wrap, a pickle, and sweet potato fries. Love this place! Nice staff - very friendly and accommodating. They'll cook you almost anything you like. The menu is large but not overwhelming, and the food is ridiculous. A little piece of heaven right there on earth! Love this place! Love the food ( never ate anything I didn't like)... Love the staff... It's an absolute go to in this neighborhood. I am a huge fan of their homemade Mac n Cheese, farmers breakfast is bomb for those rough mornings after epic nights and most of all my go to is the BBQ chopped salad which if I ever was on death row, yes I would order this salad for my last meal! This place is wonderful! They have a very extensive menu with unique sandwich options or a home style meal. The staff are exceptionally pleasant. The owner greets every customer at the register and will go out of his way to bring you extra gravy, water or anything else he sees fit. It's a very 'everybody knows your name' atmosphere.
