I wasn't so fortunate when doing business at Corvette Corner (Rowlett, TX) with owner Rich. Rich…read moreagreed to work on my C3 but he took full advantage of me as a good paying customer. His deceptive and misleading practices as a business owner was costly and time consuming. He never installed the parts I paid for and he pocketed nearly $2500 of my money. After keeping my C3 in his possession for nearly 3 months, I can't comment on his experiences because he has no work to show for. However, he did misdiagnosed my engine and transmission and I caught him in time before he charged me thousands more. I wished someone had warned me about his deceptive business practices but when Rich ask for a "deposit" just know you'll pay about 100% mark-up in parts alone. This is only one example of many that I've encountered with him. Don't let him start work on your car unless he gives you an estimated cost in writing. If he doesn't give you an estimate for parts and labor cost in writing, it's best to seek another professional who will be upfront and honest with you.

Very disappointing experience. I took my Corvette in to have the door to glass weather seals…read morereplaced. The car was returned with damaged window tint, damaged passenger door panel, and mis-adjusted passenger side glass. The passenger side door glass mis-adjustment became evident over the following days after cycling the window up and down. Scratches became worst every time the glass was raised and lowered. I returned to the shop a couple of weeks later and talked to the owner. He totally denied any fault and refused to make any type of adjustment. The owners attitude was very belligerent and confrontational. I have used his shop several times over the years. This fact did not have any bearing on the out come. I will not be using this shop again.

At that point, I agreed to allow the work to be completed. He was clear that he would have to order in parts from the dealership and it could take a day or longer. Surprisingly, I received a call from Greg on the next day explaining that he would have to make some adjustments to the original quote. Of course in my mind, I didn't believe that it would be good news. To my surprise, Greg tells me that the revised quote would be $500 less. Of course, I was very happy to hear the adjustment. My second thought was, how trustworthy Greg was as a mechanic. I honestly wonder what percent of shops would have done what Greg did? It would have been very easy for Greg to stay with the original bid since I had approved it, but he did not. The moral to the story is if you were looking for a reputable, knowledgeable and honest mechanic, I can tell you that my experience met those expectations. Greg is a very nice guy and he knows how to work on cars. I'll be using him in the the future for my automotive needs. Thanks Greg!

Greg gained my routine business about three years ago when a fairly large retail repair chain store…read morewhere I had been a regular customer said I needed about $700.00 in repairs because of an annoying driving noise. I drove around the corner to find Greg's garage to obtain a second opinion. He thoroughly inspected my vehicle and then we took a test drive for which he charged me in total a reasonable fee. He said he could not find the source of the noise, but stated I didn't need the repairs recommended by the other garage, nor did I need repairs of any sort performed on my car. Within months the annoying driving noise disappeared as spontaneously as it began. I've been trusting Greg ever since as it's difficult to find a totally honest, experienced and knowledgable technician/mechanic. And, he's a great and personable person with whom to conduct business. Our experience with Accelerate Auto Repair and Collision was extremely poor. We took two vehicles…read morethere for repairs. After three weeks, no repairs had been completed, and we had both vehicles towed to another repair shop. Communication throughout was inadequate: we called numerous times, but our calls were not returned. Most concerning, one of our vehicles sustained a completely damaged windscreen and severe body damage while in their care. The business told us that vandalism had occurred and that several vehicles had been affected. They refused to pay for the damage and told us to claim through our own insurance. When we arrived to collect our vehicles, we spent hours trying to resolve the situation. We were told that they would not release the vehicles unless we signed a document disclaiming their liability for the damage. We felt pressured to sign so that we could retrieve our vehicles and leave. During that visit, we also witnessed several other customers complaining about the service they had received. Based on our experience, the lack of repairs, unanswered calls, damage to our vehicle and the handling of its release, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. We entrusted them with two vehicles and left with unresolved repairs, additional damage and considerable frustration.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but if it saves someone from making the same mistake I did, I…read morefeel obligated to do so. I would STRONGLY recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere. Any shop that offers a 10% discount in exchange for a positive review should, in my opinion, be approached with caution. My experience with this shop was far from positive. A truck that had 250,000 miles on it and was showing signs that should have raised some serious questions about a failing head gasket. Instead, I was led through a series of costly repairs that basically treated the symptoms instead of finding the actual problem. Those repairs ultimately failed within a few weeks. They also installed what I believe were cheap aftermarket parts, including the wrong front struts. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking responsibility and replacing them, they wanted to charge me to install a lift on the rear of the truck to compensate for the front end sitting higher than the rear. WTF? Another big concern was the price and quality of the parts. When I asked about the brand of the parts they were installing, which seemed they were hesitant to reveal, I was surprised to find what appeared to be nearly a 100% markup compared with retail prices. Their invoices also don't identify the brand or manufacturer of the parts, so you really don't know what you're paying for. In my experience, the parts were marked up an unreasonable amount, especially considering the quality. Looking back, I feel like the focus was more on getting me to authorize additional repairs rather than properly figuring out what was actually wrong with the truck, knowing Id probably just cut my losses if I had been told the truth about the head gasket from the beginning. I originally brought my truck here because I was trying to avoid dealership prices. Unfortunately, when I finally took it to the dealership, that's when I learned what was actually wrong with the truck, which was in fact the head gasket and the wrong struts installed. The dealership also asked me if I had ever used a quick sealant in my engine because of the sludge they found in the radiator overflow, the radiator that auto clinique just replaced. I don't have proof, but definitely raised even more concerns about the shop practices. I was so hopeful that I had found an honest shop, but sadly, I'd have to say they are far from it. And Ray, I'm not interested in you telling me how you offer a year warranty on your parts and repairs. Thank you
