This is the best auto repair shop in the metroplex. I've been to several living in Richardson almost my whole life and I drive to Rockwall to get my cars serviced because of their high level of integrity, speed, and incredible service. My wife's car ABS light came on and she went to City Garage in Richardson. They charged $110 for a diagnostic and said the ABS ring had slipped but the ring was not sold separately and She had to buy the whole cv axle for $174 plus $130 for labor. They lied. If you search the part it costs $69.99 at auto zone however auto parts stores such as auto zone and oreilly sells the ring for 7.99 plus tax and they all have the same description as follows. "DETAILED DESCRIPTION Dorman's ABS Ring offers cost-cutting convenience. Now you can easily replace the failed or damaged ABS ring, instead of the entire CV shaft, saving time, money and labor. They are fast, competitive on pricing and extremely knowledgable and friendly. They won't sell you something you won't need and they will recommend and insist on a repair if it's something you need - but never pressure. Don't wast your time because they will clearly waste it for you! Quoted me a price of $45 for light bulb change and charged me $350 when I got here! Then it took over 2hours before they looked at the car ! I asked them to just put the car back together so I can go and the mechanic that took another car out for a test drive. I then waited another 35 min for another mechanic to tell me I have to wait until the mechanic that started the project comes back. Only after I requested with a sternness to please put the car back together so I can go! Was I able to leave 11 minutes later. read more

This use to be the place where I took all three of our vehicles to for oil changes. But, no more. With the new owner. He doesn't know how to put cars in line. After an hour of waiting and not seeing my car in the bay. I asked where my car was? It was pointed out parked in the back not even in line. When I asked why. The owner said he had different techs and different needs on cars. I don't know about any of you, but I expect my car to be serviced in the order that I arrived and not before anyone that has been waiting. I am patient but don't appreciate the underestimated time frame. I had read a review where it was hard to get anyone to answer the phone and it was right. Once I made an appointment and arrived, I observed that there is not always someone at the phone to answer it. A small problem unless you are in a hurry to get something scheduled. Once I was there, they pulled my car in right away and changed my flat within 15 minutes. I was surprised at how quick they were. When I drove away I noticed a pull to the opposite side and pulled over to check the air pressure. It was over-inflated by about 10 PSI. If you want fast and cheap service, this is a good place to go. Getting the phone answered and the over-inflated tire were minor issues to me but to others it might be of more concern. read more

They quoted me one price but by the time they were finished it cost me less than half. It didn't take as long as they anticipated so they adjusted the price accordingly. Amazing ! When my mom asked to speak to the manager and also asked for her name, this woman hung up on my mom -- twice! As we came back to the shop to pick up my mom's car, I told the manager, Chino, that I would like to write a complaint against this woman and was told by him that the owner, Mo, would call and follow up with me. I called again and was told the same thing. The owner, Mo, did not ever get back to me. It seems to me that they're trying to cover for her, and since they wouldn't accept my private complaint, then I have no problem making this complaint public! read more

Great shop and Mo is always a friendly and fair man. Work is performed that is needed and there is never an up-sell of ridiculous items you don't need. I recently took in my 58k mi vehicle to a dealer for a recall fix. I was told I needed a brake flush, coolant flush, transmission flush, fuel flush and a few other items totaling over 1500! I don't understand how they can feel right doing this to people. Stick with Mo and your cars will staying run and repairs are for what is needed. read more

Ok, so let's start with the "bad"; and honestly it ain't terrible! When you call, you might have to call and call and call to get an answer. This place is always BUSY and there's a reason for it! Plus, we are in an era where TALKING on the phone is considered an archaic form of communication. Here's a tip...if you need your car repaired and it's drivable, just drop it off early in the morning. They will get to you...I promise. The "good"...They are fair, they are MORE than reasonable and they are honest! We have old cars and are just trying to keep them running as long as we can. If they had a frequent "buyer" punch card, they would have to discontinue the program because of us. Needless to say, we know good repair pricing when we see it! Final Note: Part of me hates to write good reviews as it just means MORE people frequenting these places and potentially resulting in longer waits. But it just isn't fair to the masses who are over spending at other shops. read more

After returning a month after an oil change at that crappy place my car was completely drained of oil. My car is far from being old and broken down at all and I had previously had no leaks. If I had any at my prior visit they failed to notify me along with replacing my reminder sticker and adding washer fluid to the car. This was acknowledged by there staff when I told them this because there is no way that my car would have leaked that much considering I only drive about 15 miles a day and that's on the 4 days that I work. Without telling me they would charge me they decided to do a full oil change,which was not necessary considering I just had one a month ago. I tipped both guys for working on my car after the fact as a good gesture and was told as I was pulling off that I needed to pay for an oil change. When I explained to these idiots that why was I not given the option to just pay for the oil instead of a new filter and labor even they had no answers. One guy lied to my face and said he told me I was going to be charged for a full oil change. My car didn't need it so I would've never agreed to it. The guy who worked on my hood who said that he told me I was going to be charged for an oil change coincidentally gave me my tip back. I consider myself an honest person and I am also a business owner as well and there is no way I would have pulled off knowing that I owed fees for services rendered. They will never receive my business again and if you are a resident of Rockwall this is one business you should consider twice about supporting. read more
