My son's car was having electronic/computer issues. Dropped it off at Rockwall Auto Repair at 5PM. They explained to me that they charge $90 for the diagnostics and then would call me with the issues to have me approved the repairs. Lance (the owner) called me the next morning at 8AM and explained to me that it was something they did not feel comfortable repairing and really recommended taking the car to a Ford Dealership. They did not charge me for the diagnostics since he could not make the repair. I appreciated the honesty from them and the sincere apology that they could not fix it, as well as not charging me for the diagnostics. Would recommend them to everyone and will continue to be a customer of Rockwall Auto Repair from now on. Thanks Lance and the team!!!! read more

While visiting Rockwall from Alaska, the air conditioning stopped working on our 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee. We called Rockwall Auto and they informed us it would be a couple of days before they were able to look at it. It was 100 degrees, so we decided to rent a car and drop our Jeep off. They have us a call explaining that they were able to get our Jeep in early while they were waiting on parts and that it needed an AC compressor. They gave us a very fair estimate with a completion time of two days. Every part of our experience was great, and as a former technician for many years, I know when I am being treated fairly. I'm new to the Rockwall area and needed some regular maintenance work on my crossover SUV. The nearby dealerships don't seem trustworthy so I decided to try Lance and his team. The shop might not be the shiniest around but it was a great experience. Lance focused on what I requested and also discovered an issue with the struts. While many places would try to pressure you into repairing them immediately, Lance was honest about how it didn't need immediate attention - it's just a minor annoyance. He had me out of there quickly, the price was great and I felt like I had been treated very honestly. I'll be going back. read more

I have been here three times within the past 10 months and each time they gave the right information on how to fix my car. I was waiting for the hard sell and it never came. They did an outstanding job in fixing my Cadillac with a great price. Lance and his son were honest and had my interests at heart. I know with my car a repair will be coming again and when it does I will be going back to Rockwall Auto Repair. They are the Best in the Rockwall area. Bob H Rockwall read more

We are new to the area. Our previous mechanic was great, but our vehicles were always with them a minimum of 2 days. I would have to call repeatedly for updates. We have taken two vehicles to Rockwall Auto Repair since moving here. In both instances, they diagnosed and resolved the issues in 1 day! In addition, they called me (not the other way around) to go over the repairs. Reasonably priced and quick turnaround. They have quickly become our permanent mechanic. read more

Our family has taken cars to Lance since we moved here in 2006. From new cars, to used cars, to teenager cars. Every unidentifiable clank or blinking light, the family motto, "take it to Lance!". He has done everything from a simple oil change to a total engine replacement for us. He is honest, reliable and his estimates are on point and he is always on time. I would recommend him to ANYONE, for ANYTHING related to automotive repair. read more
