They fixed my vehicle at a reasonable price and stood behind their work as promised. Would use this shop in the future.

Best automotive repair experience I have had…read more Christmas Eve, I called more than 15 shops. Finally this one answered with knowledgeable assistance and personable demeanor. I had to be towed an hour to get there. They diagnosed the problem quickly, had the parts brought even quicker and I was out there door with peace of mind for my holiday travels. They advised future issues that might come up, honored their parts and service with a warranty and have a very nice waiting room where I could work. Kudos to Kevin for his excellent customer service and the entire staff seemed to be friends and happy. Even on Christmas Eve.

Just a pan drop filter change and fluid fill. it's got 125k miles and hasn't been serviced since around 30k miles at Rockwall Dodge. The shifting is pretty smooth, but a little "tired" if you mash the throttle. I had planned on hauling a large trailer to west Texas for a friend and just had some preventative maintenance on my mind. I had stopped in a few days before I dropped off to inquire on the price, and turn around time. I spoke to Zack and I told him what I drove, what transmission was in it, and all the details he asked for. he gave me a verbal "$299" and he should have it done same day I drop it off. He also explained that it's common for the 68RFE transmission to fail. He said if he dropped the pan and saw metal in it, he would stop and let me know Next steps. about a week later, I dropped the truck off after hours, and put a note in the box with the pertinent info. Even a description of me and our conversation a few days prior. Zack Strength, that same service advisor from before, called me and verified what I wanted done, told me again how common the 68RFE is to fail and that he does a "couple of them a week." he then sent me a text with a link for permission to perform the work, and the following text below the link: "Also, I wanted to update you on the pricing--I was a bit off initially due to it being a diesel. The correct total is $464.29 plus tax, which includes labor, filter, pan and gasket, and fluid. Please let me know how you'd like to proceed." I was annoyed with the price jump. and called him to ask if they use Chinese filters and parts, or OEM? he said "no Chinese filters and that their parts were OEM" I was reluctant, but I signed the $464.29 plus tax quote. A couple hours later, he sent another link and pictures of the magnet in the pan with clutch material and what appeared to be some metal Shavings. The fluid was still bright red with no signs of distress. He sent the following: "got metal shavings sir excessive amount in there brother it is what I was afriad of thats why when we were talking I said these 68RFE are just bad when they go out great transmisison but when they go out they go out" I copied and pasted direct from the text he sent.) He then sent a $10,000 quote to rebuild my transmission. I told him to just do as I had asked and replace filter, gasket, and fill it up with fluid. He said: "yes sir" Now here is the part that really set me off. He contacted me and said it was ready. But then asked who had serviced the transmission last? I told him that Rockwall Dodge had replaced the 2-4 clutches under powertrain warranty at 30k miles or so. but nothing since then. His response was that, "whoever did the work last used silicone instead of the correct gasket and it's leaking at the corner of the pan. that happens when someone prys it off with a screwdriver" it will need a new pan". And he sent me a $760 quote. I called him immediately. I told him It wasn't leaking when I brought it. Why would anyone pay nearly $500 for a trans service, and have it returned with a leaking transmission? He said "well it's seeping" I chuckled and said "call it what you want, a seep is a leak!" and it wasn't leaking when I brought it in. He said the work done was crappy, and he wasn't responsible. I wonder what they used to pry the silicone attached pan with? A SCREWDRIVER perhaps? Anyway, I was seeing red at this point, and I told him I'll just come get it and fix it myself. I also said I should have listened to everyone who said NOT to take it there and that the $500 B.S. invoice I guess I would just have to eat as an Idiot tax. I was sure to make clear I was referring to myself as the idiot, not him And hung up. I went to pick up the truck 4-22-2026, I dealt with another guy there. He just gave me more excuses, told me more lies, and said he would replace the pan and have it ready for me the next day. So today, 4/23/2026, Zack tried to get me to pay the invoice sight unseen through a link sent by text message and he would leave my keys in the console of my truck for me to pick up I assume after they close. $585 Was the new total. Unlike the text he sent in the beginning saying the $464 quote included the pan, I had to pay $108.25 for a pan from Napa. I'm not sure if he meant to send it, but on the invoice he sent to me, he Manipulated the story, blamed me for the leak, and put in the notes portion that "communication was unproductive, and that Eagle would not be servicing this vehicle moving forward" UNBELIEVABLE!! Summarizing this, I took it in for basic trans service, got the "Bait and switch" tried to charge 10k. Still charged double initial quote (verbal quote) and blamed for their Crapp work, and banned from coming back. LIKE I WOULD ANYWAY!

We brought our vehicle there with transmission issues. After us deciding that we would have them rebuild our transmission, they told us it would be 7-10 days. Weeks went by, no communication. They wouldn't answer any calls or texts. Not until we called from a different number did I finally get an answer. Then we started to show up at the shop. We were told EVERY single excuse you can ever hear. Everything from personal health issues, to cash flow issues, to worker issues, to weather issues. My favorite excuse was after 6 weeks when we were told it was repaired and they were going on a test drive, and then it was not working, I was told (by the manager John) that it doesn't help when I am pushing and rushing them to finish a job. So it was my fault. :) After 7 weeks and nothing but excuses we told them to not touch it anymore and we would tow it elsewhere. The 2nd shop we took it to, had it repaired in 5 days. The cherry on top was when the 2nd shop mechanic told us that the transmission was a junk yard transmission, no way it was an original Toyota. (sadly, I can't prove that) John blames the failure of communication on Jarod, the owner. I do no care and I will tell anyone to RUN from that place. Perhaps they are fine on small repairs, but for a transmission shop that supposedly does transmissions they are awful. Communication is non existent, and I will never ever ever go any where near that place again. DO NOT EVER PAY THEM BEFORE A JOB. LESSON LEARNED.
