My wife's car ABS light came on and she went to City Garage in Richardson. They charged $110 for a diagnostic and said the ABS ring had slipped but the ring was not sold separately and She had to buy the whole cv axle for $174 plus $130 for labor. They lied. If you search the part it costs $69.99 at auto zone however auto parts stores such as auto zone and oreilly sells the ring for 7.99 plus tax and they all have the same description as follows. When I pointed this out, they shrugged it off and tried to upsell me on even more repairs. The shop itself is a mess--looks like no one there has cared in years. Phones go unanswered, no one knows what's going on, and accountability is nonexistent. I wouldn't trust these people to check tire pressure, let alone touch a transmission. Save yourself the headache. Go literally anywhere else. Hopefully this shop can serve the city better when it gets turned into a parking lot.
