First off: Justice as hostess, is the sweetest Calm, sweet disposition and smile, led us to our table and got us situated Brandt, our server, was also a sweetheart: earnest, attentive, polite, well-spoken, good conversationalist whilst going between tables. I took my husband and two kids here for Fathers Day, and made sure to go early enough that it wouldn't be busy yet. When we arrived, there were still empty tables and no wait time to sit. We have been customers of Jimmy's Egg for years, so we know it can get busy. Despite our planning from previous experiences, our Father's Day experience was so disappointing. After placing our order, our server essentially stopped waiting on our table. She failed to provide basic necessities, including water, silverware, napkins, coffee creamer, and straws for our children's drinks. Despite multiple attempts to get her attention, she repeatedly ignored us. We had to flag down other servers several times just to request coffee, retrieve our own silverware, and ultimately involve a manager in order to get water for the table. Even after speaking with the manager, many of these issues remained unresolved. What was particularly concerning was that our server began bringing water, napkins, and coffee creamer to surrounding tables while continuing to ignore ours. Whether intentional or not, it appeared unprofessional and felt retaliatory after we raised our concerns. To make matters worse, we waited approximately an hour for our food and still had not received it. We eventually had to go to the to-go counter and request that our order be packaged so we could leave. After all of these issues, the only compensation offered was $5 off our bill. We also did not receive the Father's Day coupon that was being distributed to other tables. The manager's response did little to address the situation. Rather than resolving the service issues, we were simply told that we would not have the same server if we returned in the future. We understand that holidays are busy and that mistakes happen. However, being ignored for the duration of our meal, having to repeatedly seek assistance from other staff members, and ultimately leaving without receiving proper service made for an extremely frustrating Father's Day experience. As long-time customers, we expected much better. What left us most upset was not the missing items or even the long wait for food--it was the feeling that our table was being deliberately ignored. After we involved the manager, our server suddenly began providing attentive service to every surrounding table while continuing to overlook ours. As customers who have supported Jimmy's Egg for years, this felt insulting. We should not have had to repeatedly ask other employees for basic necessities while watching nearby tables receive prompt service. The lack of any meaningful effort to correct the situation only added to that feeling. Rather than feeling valued as long-time customers, we left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and as though our concerns were not taken seriously. read more

Stopped in here for breakfast w my brother. If just eating my meal I'd give them a 4. The avocado toast was good, but the side of bacon was the show winner! We even ended up ordering an additional side of bacon after tasting it! My brother's meat omelette was lackluster and his side of pancakes looked like they weee frozen and microwaved. However the fried okra was on point. Service was good and food came out fairly quick. When ordering in the future I'll just be more selective on what I choose to ensure I get the highlights. Jimmy's Egg Derby, KS May 1 2025 Jimmy's Egg was a huge disappointment on this day . I ordered the meat lovers skillet meal and upon arrival, it was completely burnt. I am curious how the cook and the server could allow this meal to be placed on a Plate and then be served to a customer? The potatoes were black, and the scrambled egg was brown. The bacon, ham and sausage pieces were black and very crispy. I lifted the egg up and it was brown underneath as well. I showed it to the server and she said she was sorry, and would i like something else? My big question is how could they allow this awful mess out of the kitchen and served to a customer to begin with? I was embarrassed in front of my guests at the table and did not choose to make a scene. I will not return again. This situation was very obvious and preventable and should not have happened. read more

Jimmy's egg is our family go to breakfast place when traveling and I guess there's always one. This is the first bad experience with a Jimmy's egg. Hostess was mad at the world, took forever to get seated in an empty restaurant, coffee was cold, food was burnt, waitress kept forgetting things. Just lousy breakfast. Update. Waitress took waffle shown in pictures off the bill. I've decided to leave the review as we were on vacation and the whole experience from start to end was a rough way to start time off. read more

Hadn't been to Jimmy's Egg is a long time. We found ourselves wanted breakfast on Easter Sunday. We decided to go here. There was plenty of seating. The server/ hostess sat us down and grabbed our drinks. Our server showed up a few minutes later. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We got standard breakfast food eggs, pancakes etc. All of us enjoyed our meals. We all wished we had tried the biscuits and gravy. Service was great and prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend Jimmy's Egg and will go back. read more

We sat at the counter to face the kitchen and the young waitress wasn't very attentive until the bill came. An older waitress came in and started helping with the plated orders. We decided that we won't be back while we watched the older waitress touch all the food with her bare hands! She tore a biscuit in half and then plated it, then wiped her hands on her pants. She picked up a bowl of fruit with her open palm over the top of the fruit, touching all of it. She also ran her fingers across her nostrils and kept handling food. It's too bad too because the last time we dined here the food/service was great. read more

My son and I came here for breakfast this morning. We almost walked out because we were standing there waiting to be put on the waiting list. Once the hostess did arrive, her attitude was not friendly. On a weekend, the manager should assign someone for that position. They had more than enough employees. The waitress and the food was good. The eggs were the only thing that ended up making me not feel well later. I have an allergy to mushrooms and considering my scrambled eggs had a little bit of onion in them, maybe there was cross contamination on the grill with an omelette that had been fixed with mushrooms?? read more

Waited 15 minutes in booth, no one checked on us as waitresses were in room talking with each other and ignoring customers. This is 2nd time this has happened in 1 month. First time we waited 15 minutes while 3 servers cleaned tables and ignored us. We used to go in 2-3 days a week and received great service. Seems to have gone downhill, maybe 10-15 people in restaurant. Waitress more interested in speaking with each other than helping customers. When I went to counter to address, looked at waitress who caught my glare for about 20 seconds, just looked at me and mouthed "have you been helped." When someone else finally came over, I let them know my displeasure. This used to be a great place to go. Now.........not so much. read more

We have eaten at Jimmy's Eggs in Oklahoma, Wichita, and this location. Have always enjoyed the service and food. Recently ate at this location again. Ordered Eggs Benedict and was told it was too close to closing to poach eggs, and could I pick something else. Too close to closing at 12:40 p.m. when closing is 2 p.m.? I could almost understand if it was closer to 2 p.m. and they were busy. There were only 3 other tables that were occupied at the time. When food came, hash browns were cold, and other items were luke warm and missing an ingredient. Didn't complain because I figured it was "too close to closing" to be fixed, and we had somewhere to be. Having worked in food service, I would have never told a customer that it was too close to closing for them to order, whether it was 10 minutes till or over an hour till, as I was told. read more

My husband and I had received a reward for each of us a free entrée for up to $12 when we got the bill he had ordered coffee so it would be separate which I was glad to pay for it came to $2.59 plus tax The bill she gave me was for seven dollars and some change. I asked what the extra charges were for and Christine the manager told me that's just how it rang up. I said that was not acceptable. I would like to know what the extra charges were for, she began to rip the receipt out of my hand and tell me I would not have a bill that day, but I would pay the tip she then proceeded to the register, which was across the restaurant and told her employees in the whole restaurant heard because I was across the restaurant. She told everyone I was too stupid to understand so she had to give it to me Free I have tried to contact Jimmy's Egg 4 or 5 times. Nobody will respond.
