Hey, I've always been a Hardee's fan. Well, not always. I've been a Hardees fan for most the last 30 years, ever since I moved to Minnesota. There are two main reasons for this: Biscuits and Gravy and the flavor of their burgers. I moved here from California. In California the equivalent ot Hardees is Carl's Jr. When I lived there Carl's Jr. was at the bottom of my list. I would go there only if I was forced by circumstance. They served fries that were made from a potato batter squeezed through square holes. I assume that after they merged with Hardees many years ago their fries and their menu improved. In spite of what my wife claims I am not a Hardees' fan due to nostalgia for Carl's Jr. My favorite place in California is a very small local chain called Gus Jr. that didn't even exist when I lived there. It is nothing like Carls Jr. The Zimmerman Hardees is about 11 miles away buy is a bit easier to me to drive to than Anoka. I'm looking forward to checking out their Biscuits and Gravy. That visit will really be the one that will tell me if they get to keep my 4 star rating or not.

Never knew DQ could be this bad. Lots of local kids were there and loved it. So for the kids it's a great place to use mom and dad's credit card at. But for us 40 somethings keep on going by.
