Spaghetti and meatballs.
David S.

The spaghetti sauce is outstanding. The taste of fresh basil made it the best I've ever had.Their meatballs are also delicious. However I can't recommend their Italian beef sandwich. It was dry and lacking in flavor but I learned something. I learned that not all Italian beef sandwiches are "Chicago style". They should be though.

We came back and tried the deep dish style for their pizzas, after trying the Zimmerman Special in regular crust previously. I would recommend the deep dish style, although the crust was almost too thick at the crust end. The staff was very friendly.

While venturing through Zimmerman... there aren't too many restaurants in this town, but this one stood out. We decided to give it a try. When we went in, the restaurant was chilly... it was -9 out to be fair. Haha. My niece tried the spaghetti and she claims to be a spaghetti connoisseur. She loved it. You get a heaping amount with homemade sauce paired with a nice dinner salad and garlic toast. Great value. The salad was so good! It was fancy for a house salad... cheese, olives, tomatoes and house made croutons. Yum! I ordered the single chicken taco pizza. I don't get taco pizza at many places due to lost being made with beef. I liked it. They cooked the chicken in taco spices and that gave it nice flavor. Food was good and Staff was friendly... we will stop back if in Zimmerman. Thank

This place is incredible. There is a server there named Karen that makes you feel like family. The food is fantastic, and it's fast and easy. Five stars all day long.

Spaghetti Pie

Found this looking through Yelp and wanted to give it a try. Very glad that I did and will be back again. The spaghetti pie is phenomenal and I recommend it. Good sized, filled with spaghetti cheese and sauce and NOT doughy. How do you do that? Cheese burger pizza was filled with ingredients and crust was amazing. Thank you Papa's we will be back!!

Great little spot in Zimmerman. All the locals love it and best pizza in the area. Also offers a ton of alternatives to pizza.

Visiting from out of town for work and heard this spot was good. I would not recommend this spot at…read moreall. The pros: portion sizes are huge, chicken tasted good The cons: waiter did not stop by the table once, my water was empty within the first 10 min of sitting there and i had to take my cup physically up to the counter to get water from them because i was so thirsty. I didnt see him once after that, he just stood up at the counter talking to the other server. The pasta was oily, they put so much cheese on everything that the oils from the cheese come out and my pasta literally had a layer of oil all around the plate. The mozzerella garlic bread barely had any garlic bread taste, tasted mostly like mozzerella. The mozzerella was also so oily that the garlic bread was just soggy 5 min after the waiter put the plate down. The price is steep, by myself i got an app and an entree only and it came out to 48$ before tip. Overall, for a spot with the reviews it has it completely let me down along with the locals who recommended it to me.

It should be noted that I've never actually set foot inside Bella Ciao Pasta Bar and Ristorante. I…read moreonly experienced it today through the lens of a takeout container. For lunch, I ordered the Chicken Marsala. You get to choose a side; options ranging from Alfredo Fettuccine to Green Beans to Mashed Potatoes to Spaghetti Marinara. I went for the Spaghetti. The meal also came with two breadsticks. Overall, the dish was decent but not remarkable. The highlight was the mushrooms in the Marsala wine sauce. They were flavorful and well prepared. The chicken itself was just okay. Without the sauce, it lacked seasoning, and the texture varied throughout the breast, with some parts tender and others noticeably tough or chewy. The spaghetti was good, though comparable to standard spaghetti you might find anywhere. The breadsticks, however, were disappointing; they were extremely hard and not enjoyable to eat. I also wish the Chicken Marsala and the spaghetti were packaged separately. Because of the amount of sauce, everything blended together in the container. I don't mind my food touching, but separating the items would make for a better presentation and texture. I do think other menu items may have more to offer. One mediocre experience isn't enough for me to write off the restaurant entirely, so I would consider trying something else in the future. However, I wouldn't recommend this particular dish based on today's order. Overall rating: 3/5.

We came NYE so service was a little slower but friendly. Someone was making sure our waters were filled and used plates taken away. Food was definitely freshly made. We ordered the mussels for appetizer. We chose the spicy tomato sauce and it was yummy. My husband ordered the veal Marsala and it came with choice of soup or salad and a side of pasta. Penne with red sauce was the standard or upgrade to fettuccine Alfredo. Creamy clam soup was delicious. Nice and rich. Fettuccine noodles were over cooked but the cream sauce was so good. You can taste the fresh cream. It was slightly under seasoned but nothing a little salt didn't fix. The veal was nice and tender, lots of mushrooms, and a side of steamed green beans. This dish was also slightly under seasoned. I ordered one of the specials, a pasta bolognese. Supposed to come with penne but I requested it with fettuccine. Noodles were cooked better than the Alfredo but still slightly overcooked. The bolognese sauce was so delicious. They give you bread for the table but it was dense and lacked flavor. Glass of wine, appetizer, and two entrees came out be a little under $100 before tip. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. Not a knock your socks off place but nice and cozy with freshly prepared dishes.

Pork $24.99 Beef Market Price (this came with beans and carrots and a side of fettuccine Alfredo) Spaghetti Spaghetti noodles smoothered in our house marinara sauce complimented with Italian sausage or an Meatball. $18.99 The house Italian dressing is robust and tasty. Spaghetti was the winner of the various foods we brought home I would definitely order that again. The Filetto had too many mushrooms and not enough beef or Gorgonzola for us. Alfredo was tasty enough, but not as good as the spaghetti. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Ambiance is small, family, local feel. It is a small space inside so definitely suggest reservations if you're dining in.

Note, they do NOT take reservations so it's first come, first serve. Our original wait time was around 1 hour but it ended up only being 35 minutes. Parking is quite limited but due to eating later in the evening, we were able to get a parking spot in their lot. Broaders' has both patio and indoor seating. Being the middle of winter, we sat inside. It's not an overly large restaurant so be prepared to wait during busier meal times (like dinner on the weekends). Our waitress was very nice, answered our questions, and helped us select the perfect wine. Shortly after ordering our wine, they brought out a complimentary bread basket which was delicious! We asked for butter and more of the foccaccia because it was SO good. For our mains, we got the Greek Salad, Ravioli Di Zucca, and Spaghetti Con Polpette. WOW! I don't have a single complaint. The greek salad was flavorful with all the mixed vegetables and dressed perfectly. The Ravioli Di Zucca was buttery and delicious and the Spaghetti Con Polpette was probably the best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had. Somehow we had room for dessert and opted for the Tiramisu. It was good, not great. I didn't love that it was cut in the shape of a pie vs. a square -- Something about that threw me off. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend going to Broaders' Pasta Bar! You won't regret it!
