This review is for one visit and one sandwich only: the picklewich. As a pickle lover I got sucked into the hype and made my first ever trip into a JJs. This sandwich is worth the hype. There are two varieties, one turkey based and one deli meats. I got the latter. What a novel experience! The sharpness of the dill pickle with the salty meat was great. The texture was something I worried about, as was stability. Both were nothing to fear -- nice mouth feel and it didn't slide apart. And with no bread it is relatively low cal, although it is likely a sodium bomb. Will go back, if this stays on the menu. read more

Jimmy John's is truly "Fast Food" ! It's my go to sandwich shop when I'm in a hurry and want something tasty. I love that I can order and pay directly from their app. I usually order from home for pickup, drive 10 minutes to the restaurant and my sandwich is always ready to just grab and go. The store is always bright and clean. The staff is always friendly and greet you when you enter. Theres plenty of sandwich options so there something for everyone. The bread is baked onsite so it's always fresh. This store is in the Kroger shopping center on Staples Mill road so there's plenty of parking. My favorite fast food sandwich shop! read more

I went there the other day for lunch. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly. You have to try the country sub. That was REALLY good. What I also found out is they now have hot subs. I'll be back to try one of the those soon. read more

Gave this place the benefit for the 3rd and final time. 3 subs = $58! I am putting a picture of how little meat you get for $16...almost NONE. I am so fed up with Staples Mill Jimmy John's ripping people off. They just are doing a very bad job and have a ton of excuses so back to Jersey Mike's where you actually get what you pay for. Jimmy John's is the MOST expensive subs in town, their bread sucks since they took away choices and their prices are thru the roof. Try Subway, Firehouse or any other subs. Heck you get 3 times the meat on an Arby's sub! This family who lives on a fixed income is so over this crappy place with their measly portions and high prices. Never again. Hard lesson but we finally get it! Epic fail. It does come fast, but that does not make it worth the crazy expensive price for what you get. read more

We were running errands, and have had a taste for JJ's for a while. Having lived in Chicago IL, we were spoiled by the many locations, and being new to the Richmond area we only knew of this one location. I can see now there are more, however, this is the one we have gone to twice. The place was absolutely spotless! I have seen MANY Jimmy John's and this was BY FAR the cleanest location I have EVER seen. The staff was courteous, friendly, and welcomed us in unison, which made all of us, staff and we alike, laugh; as we were the only customers in there at the moment. We gave our order and it was made carefully and thoughtfully. There was a sign that said "Free Smells" that I said I wanted for my home, one employee joked with us and said that the "Free Smells" were only on "Tuesdays and Thursdays". It was very funny! I've eaten at Jimmy John's more in the last few weeks than I have ever in my life. I'm entering my third trimester of pregnancy and, while I have no specific cravings, something about the freshness of a Jimmy John's sub just does things to my tastebuds right now! Lately I've been getting the BLT since I can't have cold lunch meat (WOMP WOMP!). The mix of the creamy mayonnaise with the saltiness from the bacon and tang from the oil and vinegar that I ask them to add on sets. it. off. My husband doesn't understand my love for Jimmy Johns. I've tried to pinpoint what it is exactly that I love about these subs. First of all, when they say they're freaky fast, that's not an exaggeration. Whenever I've ordered delivery for a Jimmy John's sub in the past, it seems like they're ringing the doorbell as soon as I hang up the phone. It's the same level of freaky fastness when I've gone into a location as well. It's never more than a 5 minute operation. Perfect for this mama on the go. Second of all, it's the bread. The sub bread is chewy and crusty at the same time. They do have a whole wheat bread option, but I never stray from the sub bread so I have no idea what that tastes like. Lastly, something about their toppings taste SO fresh. I have no idea how they do it. Jimmy John's, you're amazing. I really like Jimmy John's subs and I always go here at this location I will not be back ever. After working all day & starving. I went to this location at 8:35 walked in everyone was cleaning. I get it. I'm a Chef myself.. A guy mopping the floor was like we are closed. normally I would've left but I didn't.. I said You close @ 9 correct. He says we are closed. Annoyed so i left. Another person walks in behind me. I go to my car sit & WATCH this person order & leave. So Yes, I will not ever be back to this location & will not direct anyone to spend money there. Friday, 2/17/2023, Googled the time for this location as it was a little after 8 p.m., hours of operation stated to be 10:30 to 9 p.m., head that way got there at 8:40, lights on, workers in side, walk up tot he door, it is locked. Go back to the car and call the restaurant, no answer, called two more times before they decided to answer. I asked what are your hours of operation, person stated we are close, I said that is not what I asked, I asked what are your hours of operation, he stated 10:30-8, I said why does it state you close at 9 tonight. He proceeded to put a lady on the phone who stated she was the manager (Dejoinase). She ran this clearly made up store by me that the she (AS MANAGER) did not know what the hours of operations were and did not know that online it was that they close at 9, that "corporate" keep changing hours due to COVID. In all honesty I believe that they decided to close the store against policy so that they can take off early on Friday. In doing that they fail to realize that people depend on those hours being honored, I came a long way (15 minute) drive, got there in plenty of time since they claim they can make sandwiches so fast, only to have the store closed, had to go to nasty Zaxby's, my night was ruin. First time here. They're sandwiches were really good. I didnt like the way the menu was set up or the rush to order. This was my first time and I felt rushed to pick something and get out the way. The guys behind the counter were nice though . Ordered delivery for the first time the other day and it was terrific. I placed my order and it felt like 10 minutes later my food was at my door! I got a custom veggie sub and it was exactly what I ordered. It was a great amount of food and cheap. The delivery driver was really nice as well. Love JJ's and this is by far the best Jimmy Johns my husband and I have been to! Employees greeted us like we were old friends. Meals were made VERY fast and to perfection. Another employee checked on us as we were eating to see if we needed anything else. While we were eating we observed that every customer that walked in was greeted with the same enthusiasm we were. We were so impressed with our experience that we looked for a tip jar. Didn't see one so we asked and we were told "your coming in is tip enough". This location should be a model for the franchise. It is obvious that this location is well managed and well staffed. Well done and thank you. It is refreshing that FRIENDLY customer service still exists. We look forward to our next visit to Richmond and will be back in. read more

Subs are awesome. Delivery was super fast! The delivery area is limited but I guess that's why it's fast. The subs don't have time to get soggy. I LOVE the lettuce wrap. I had the BLT with added cucumbers and the oregano and sauce. It was like eating a rolled up salad with bacon. Loved it! Limited side selections but the Jimmy chips are really good.
