I arrived at 3:35pm and waited for an employee to take my order. After waiting for about 10 minutes, no one came up front. Then an employee finally came from the back and informed me that he was in training and that he had no clue what he was doing. Then informed me that his Manager was late for their shift and unfortunately he couldn't serve me. Says a lot about the running of this establishment. I really hope that Corporate sees this and corrects this. They are losing money because their employees (Manager) can't arrive on time to train their workers. First and last order from Jimmy John's. Got a roast beef sub. Half of it had only had one piece of roast beef the other half had more but it was quite well done. The whole sub tasted like they put half a shaker of salt on it couldn't come close to finishing it. Very disappointing. read more

I placed my order at 11:47am, it showed out for delivery at 12:02pm, okay so a little behind I understand, but it wasn't like them to be that behind. I called prior to receiving my order at 12:21pm where I inquired on an update of my order when I asked about my order the girl that answered didn't give a name where I was then handed over to a gentleman that answered with "Yea what did we do wrong"... I explained my situation again and was then told they were having a hard time getting drivers but the driver was out with my order and one other order. I asked if I was speaking with the manager in which I then got the reply of no I'm the owner.. I was shocked. I finally received my order at 12:28pm where I immediately noticed my missing drink. I was brought my drink at 12:35pm. Nearly an hour from the time I placed my order. The delivery location was less than 1/2 mile away. No offer for a refund, discount, anything. Pretty much setup like other jimmy johns. Very clean and neat store. The ordering was quick and very professional service. Product delivery was also quick and without any hassle. He food quality is is good as any of the other jimmy johns. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The variety of food was good. I got the smoked ham club, one of my favorites and I was very happy with the taste. I particularly like their breads. Very glad to have jimmy johns in Mt Airy. Conveniently located. Visited today got 3 subs with extra cheese and 2extra kicking ranch sauces and two drinks. All to go. No waiting in line. Quick delivery and out the door I was just be disappointed when I got home due to not getting the kicking range sauce in the bag even paying extra for it sucks. We have ordered from here many times and this is the 3 time my Vito was wrong! I always ordered the same, meat, cheese, lite lettuce and tomatoe...NO vinegar no oil, no mustard mayo or anything else. Especially NO onion. And each time it's been wrong ! I called this last time which was about two weeks ago and was told I'd receive a credit for my sandwich. Never have received that! And then told the manager would be in the next day as I wanted to talk with her face to face, I go in, sandwich and receipt in hand... sorry, she's not in today she only works Monday through Friday. I've still yet to receive my credit. Three strikes, your out, so long jimmy! It was nice while it lasted. But customer service and accuracy go a long way. Clearly they have some kinks to work out operationally. I've been there twice since they opened. The first time I walked in an ordered a sandwich, moderately busy for one sandwich I waited at least 30 min. The second time to help with wait and time, I ordered on-line for a pickup. It was 7:40 from the confirmation of ordering and I was told to pick up at 7:10. I showed up at 7:10 and they hadn't even started to cook my order and the clerk said the pickup time was 7:12 but I still had wait 10 min to get the sandwich which made the total time 50 min. after ordering online. Not off to a great start for me. I'll give them one more chance. read more

Very disappointed. We ordered the gargantuan which was supposed to be "loaded" with toppings. It was so skimpy that the bun was actually completely closed. It was very dry so we drove home and added Italian dressing. Never again will we visit that location. read more

The owners should secret there business and they will get all the feedback they need. They need to revisit the franchise training. People shop at a franchise, fast food restaurant to have the sandwiches made the same way no matter what state or location they're in. Also, when the customer asks for extra of a condiment, and you actually charge for it, there's no reason to argue with the customer. You should give them extra versus what you think extra is as the associate. The associates that work there need to understand that their personal drama is personal, customers shouldn't have to hear about their personal drama. An associate should know better than to argue with each other in front of the customer. It just makes for a poor experience. Who wants to eat their lunch and have to listen to other peoples problems that are being paid to work at the establishment that you're Patronizing. read more

I drove down to jersey mikes because my husband said the newspaper said they were open...nope not yet, hurry up jerseys... so I go to Jimmy John's. I placed my order, two sandwiches, NO sauces on either... my sandwich is the Italian, no vinegar, no oil, no mayo, we are eating these later, I'll put my own on. so I'm watching the guy making them and he tells me I'll get them at the other end. I say I know, I just want to watch ( from past experiences) he says I know how to do my job and I do it well.... WELL. I have vinegar and oil on my sandwich... Jersey mikes cannot open fast enough! I had my 1st experience with JJ this summer and my favorite is the Hunters Club. Been eating them every chance there is one in a town I visit. This Wednesday I ordered from this new one open only 8 days. Again my Hunter club was great, I always get the wheat sliced bread. My wife ordered a JJBLT on white sub roll. First, the inside of the roll had all the bread pulled out leaving only a shell. A HARD shell at that. Now if that were to make room for a great amount of filling, (still wouldn't be right) one might make that arguement. Trust me, there was plenty of room for 3 strips of bacon, 2 slices of tomato, and some shredded lettuce. As I have never ordered a roll, I dont know if this is SOP or a rookie bad decision, either way it is wrong! Order took a while, was apologized for and figured they would get better. read more

Today is the last time that I, or any of my family will be walking thru the door. They no longer have alfalfa sprouts. They also made the sandwich incorrectly. I asked for 9 grain bread, extra avo and pickles. I received none of those items. The girl at the register was too worried with telling me that she also misses the alfalfa sprouts. I also no not like the way any customer can reach over the counter and pick up a napkin. Someone touching their mouth, and then touching the stack of napkins is very unsanitary. This is a great way to pass germs and disease. I have commented on that on my first visit and nothing was changed. We will never go back! read more

When I moved back home to Mount Airy from Winston Salem three years ago, I greatly missed my "freaky fast delivery." So, when I heard that Jimmy John's was coming to Mayberry, I was thrilled. Great subs and menu selection. Quality ingredients. Please keep in mind that this is not Subway. Mount Airy has four Subway locations and if you've never been to another franchised sub sandwich restaurant, you might think the selection is limited at Jimmy John's. Not the case. You can still tweak your sandwich. However, I find the menu items are pretty tasty as are. I know not everyone will agree with my review and perhaps say there are better places they prefer. Fast, delicious, and unique! The fresh bread is great. I recommend trying the 16 Club LuLu with sprouts. The sprouts add an interested flavor and texture to any sandwich! Also, great cookies and kettle chips. For a healthier option, you can use lettuce instead of bread. read more
