But went inside to pick up order because drive through line was long and I had ordered in the app and it was ready, but was a little disappointed because 3 of the 5 employees masks was pulled way down on the face, noses exposed but did have over there mouth. One gentleman that had come in maybe supervisor walked in and it took quite a little bit for him to finally put his mask on, he was around the food and employees b4 he ever put it on. Nice clean restaurant, our sandwiches were ready quickly, and employees were friendly. Unfortunately, consistency is a problem at this location. I order the same sandwich every time and it's a 1 to a 5 depending on who makes it. Today's was a 1. Primarily for these reasons: I detected no oil or vinegar, extra Jimmy peppers (I order light), and very light lettuce (I order extra). Additionally, I noticed an employee not wearing a hat, hair net, or anything in the food prep area. Excellent sandwiches and amazing customer service!! I always receive fast delivery. This evening I had an item missing from my order. I called the store and the manager apologized and said that as soon as the driver was back she would send over my missing item. The two times I TRIED giving Jimmy Johns a 2nd chance, they had their delivery trucks parked in the drive thru (Indicating their drive thru was closed- At lunch time?...) As a mom of 3 kids in carseats, Jimmy Johns drive thru is the only thing that sets them apart from other sandwich shops in the area. After being served that disgusting sandwich with spoiled lettuce last time, I still chose convenience over everything else (While hoping I would actually get a good sandwich!) Just like every chain restaurant certian business practices follow but Jimmy Johns hasn't sold its soul yet. They bake their bread fresh, slice their deli meats daily, and cut their veggies like Subway use to do in the 90's. I ate here for the first time on Thursday. They ran a special one dollar sandwich. I called just to get info and ask if my wife can get my sandwich for a dollar since I cant go anywhere because of a health problem. The guy said yes. But when she got there. I always love this place because they make the Turkey Tom so basic it's simply delicious . It taste like a very good home made Turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Eh, both myself & husband wasn't impressed! Sad to say but, I've had a better tasting sandwich from Raley's! I do have to say that they were very fast so I was impressed by that! Sandwiches only come on sliced wheat OR French bread (only one size on French bread 8") they make the bread there, we both had French bread and it was actually kinda hard! They sell the French bread at a discounted price after 4 hours of making it (if they haven't used it) they sell it for .50 cents! I'm not sure if I would come back, it's not the service, it's the taste of the sandwich I wasn't too impressed with! read more

One of the female employees had a really bad attitude when I asked if she could clean the table where I was seated. I asked for sugar for my iced tea and all the employees looked at me like I was from another planet. They brought me Splenda and Equal when I asked for sugar. It seems they had no sugar anywhere to be found which was quite odd. I returned once more to give them a second chance. The experience wasn't much better so I never returned again. Oh sweet Jesus, we finally have a Jimmy John's in Modesto! The food is ridiculously good, we've gone three days in a row and do not intend to stop any time soon. The service is super fast inside the store, we haven't tried the drive through and are out of the delivery area so I can't speak for that. The diner area is clean and entertaining with quotes and instructions. My favorite is the How to Eat an Unwrap Sandwich. Give it a look when you go. Also, I made a complete fool of myself today by dumping a soda all over my mother and the table and the bench and the floor. Yay! Three staff members (including the owner) came over immediately with napkins, rags, a mop, and some small talk to help me feel less stupid. In finality, I would say my experience at Jimmy John's was sublime and my treatment near that of a gladiator most decorated. First time in the Turlock location... I would have given 2 1/2 stars but couldn't.... I felt it was just an average sandwich; mine was the "Tom Turkey" and I asked for avocado for $1. more. I couldn't see any so went back and was showed avocado like spread among the shredded lettuce; it was very thin so she said, do you want more and I said "yes please".
