The two times I TRIED giving Jimmy Johns a 2nd chance, they had their delivery trucks parked in the drive thru (Indicating their drive thru was closed- At lunch time?...) I got an Unwich last Saturday. We have sandwiches on Saturdays and I'm trying to take care of my health so I got an Unwich. it was SUCH a ripoff! I got one once before and it was perfect: made with big pieces of lettuce, lots of meat (just like they do on the sandwiches). Well, Saturday, none of that happened. They used lettuce so small it seemed shredded -- the lettuce is supposed to be the bread on an Unwich! And the meat was barely there. Oh sweet Jesus, we finally have a Jimmy John's in Modesto! The food is ridiculously good, we've gone three days in a row and do not intend to stop any time soon. The service is super fast inside the store, we haven't tried the drive through and are out of the delivery area so I can't speak for that. The diner area is clean and entertaining with quotes and instructions. My favorite is the How to Eat an Unwrap Sandwich. Give it a look when you go. Also, I made a complete fool of myself today by dumping a soda all over my mother and the table and the bench and the floor. Yay! Three staff members (including the owner) came over immediately with napkins, rags, a mop, and some small talk to help me feel less stupid. In finality, I would say my experience at Jimmy John's was sublime and my treatment near that of a gladiator most decorated.
