It has emerged that we like Potbelly much much more than JJs, but it's still a pretty damn good sandwich and much better than Subway despite what the other reviews say. My delivery order was placed 8:09PM - I called the location and was told UBER would be delivering my order. I kept tracking and the order was not picked up until 9ish (Store closes at 9PM) tracker says a stop was added before mine. Clearly the address # is on notes & driver is at wrong location @9:20...End result I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORDER IM BEYOND PISSED for organization that prides themselves on FAST SERVICE, let alone using Uber to deliver - did better ordering DoorDash. read more

Another sandwich shop trying to move in on the $5 foot-long guy's territory. Tasty sandwiches, but truly no "wow" factor to really make you run to this place. Best Jimmy Johns I've ever been to. Staff is almost very friendly, courteous, and they never mess up my order. They also offer a 50% military discount, which is pretty epic. What an awesome place. I walked in (1st time) and the two individuals at the cashier station made the same suggestion of what a newbie like me would like. I went with it. The place is clean with a younger crowd feel with eighties music, or perhaps I am just early in the day. Anyway, I asked if there was free wi-fi and they said no. But as I was eating my sandwich one of the workers offered his phone and hot spot. How generous and cool. And the sandwich and chips were pretty awesome. One star for a terrible delivery policy. I literally live within feet of the wrong side of their boundary at Morton Rd between Greenhouse and Barker Cyprus. They will deliver to house on the south side of Morton, but not on the north side. Even though it takes exactly the same amount of time/gas/effort to deliver to a house on the south side of Eagle Ridge Way as it does a house that's on the north side, the northern's get screwed! We literally have to pull an Elaine Benes and place an order for a house on the south side and then cross the street to pick it up because we live on the wrong side of the street. Why can't you just turn left! In these days of coronavirus, I can't fathom this restrictive no-brains policy. They claim it is to deliver to customers in 5 minutes or less, but turning left and driving 5 houses is no different than turning right and driving 5 houses, so that 5 minute explanation is a bunch of BS! read more

Ok, here is the bottom of the line truth. The food here is pretty good. There, I said it. HOWEVER the poor customer service and business model of this specific location are so under par that I feel like tossing the sandwich I currently have in my hands into the trash. My husband and I have been loyal customers of this JJ location since it opened a few months ago. We have had it delivered to our home about 3 blocks away approximately five times and pick it up at the store as well. We usually have JJ's at least once a week. Today I ordered my sandwich, coke and chips, even posting on facebook my love of Jimmy John's. Ugh. Five minutes after receiving my sandwich the owner of this restaurant, Chris, called me on my cell phone, which he got off of the computer when I ordered, and told me that they could no longer deliver to me as I was a block out of their delivery zone. When I pointed out that this was at least my sixth delivery at this location he said he knew, but it could never happen again. Really? WTF!! I would rather drive to subway or potbelly then support an establishment that embraces poor business ethics and does not support loyal customers. Side note: nowhere on the flyer that is thrown into bags which says "We'll Deliver Just One Sandwich" does the address state a service area or anything concerning deliveries. Jimmy John's may be fast, but that's because the only deliveries they do are apparently a maximum of two feet away. read more

The sandwiches were okay. I've been to other JJ's, and would probably give three stars, but ... After sitting down and taking a couple bites of my sandwich, I realized I didn't have a napkin. I got up and started walking around the restaurant looking. No napkins at the drink station, on the tables, on the counter... FINALLY, an employee realizes I'm wandering around looking lost and asks if he can help me. I explain that I don't have a napkin, and he points to the employee behind the counter, who looks up. I walk over and he hands me one napkin. I notice he has a stack of them hidden up behind the counter where no customer is even likely to see them. As I go back to my table, I notice the other couple customers don't have napkins either. THE MANAGEMENT IS SO CHEAP THEY HIDE THE NAPKINS AND DON'T GIVE YOU ONE UNTIL YOU WALK AROUND LOOKING STUPID. I have had JJ sandwiches all around Houston. This location is not up to the standards of the other locations. Poor customer service. Does not offer to supply a bag to carry sandwiches. This Jimmy Johns location is absolutely horrible. First time at this location and THE LAST! I can't understand how a sandwich from 2 of the same places can be COMPLETELY different. I always order the tuna sandwich. I love them. But the bread was hard, the tuna had way too much celery in it, the sandwich was missing cucumbers and to top it off there was no tuna on either sides of my sub only in the middle. This USED TO BE our go to place for a good sandwich, until today. Half way through my sandwich, my son and I witnessed one guy sneeze over the bin of freshly sliced tomatoes and then wrapped them up with the cellophane. I've been to this Jimmy John's two or three times. The menu is not particularly outstanding, but their bread and veggies are fresh, and they are very quick to make the sandwiches. The regular subs seem a little bit longer than other sub shops, and the alternative wheat bread is thickly sliced, so these subs are filling! The restaurant is very clean. Today, it seemed a bit confusing from some to pick up their sandwich: since they were all placed on the end of the counter with their receipt on top; some people had ordered versions of the same sub, so ended up picking up the other person's sub and thinking that the employees had forgotten to add/subtract their favorite/hated vegetable. First time at jimmy johns only because the chipotle line was out the door. Surprisingly amazingly good. I will definitely be back. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they won't put pickles on your sand which. You have to buy a spear and put it on yourself. Firehouse solves this for you and dices up a spear for you...
