This place is awesome... currently 75th St ( both direction ) is under construction... there's traffic ....And yet, I would rather drive here than go to the Willowbrook location (which is closer to me) Why? Because the moment I say that my daughter has allergies... no matter what time or day I visit... This crew would automatically change their gloves, put a sheet of paper on top of the working area ... use new knife to cut the bread... They just do it knowing it's the right thing to do. An hour for a sandwich delivery is hardly Freaky Fast, its quite the opposite. Called the store, and the "manager" didn't seem to be concerned that a sandwich took over 30 minutes (with a motto of Freaky Fast) to deliver. Instead he said, "Yeah, well its raining, and he has 4 sandwiches, so it's on it's way." The driver pulls up to our building, there were 3/4 guys in the car, and it smelt like a Cypress Hill concert. Maybe being super stoned had more to do with the food being late than some drizzling rain. read more

The worst thing JJ could do was to run a national ad offering a discount. The quality went to crap, I thought I was at Berto's, lol. I've been a pretty regular customer, it's been good like 80% of the time. I've paid full price on my past purchase because the app doesn't tell you the offers, such a great company, not! My CC sub with extra meat, roast beef. Look at the picture, the top it off they put my cookie at the bottom of 2 subs. I did call to tell the. About my sub to o Lu catch some teen angst out of the box. I then made the decision to let him know you lost a customer. Ordered delivery. They forgot my chips. No big deal. Call and ask for the amount of the chips to be refunded. Told by the low level employee he can have the delivery driver drop them off. I'm already upstairs with my two small children. It's real hard for me to get downstairs with both of them so I say i appreciate it but I'll just take the money back. Tells me he has to call his manager. Manger gets on says he can give me store credit. I say no thanks (what am I going to do with $3 credit?) I'll take the money back. This guy says he needs to call his GM at home?! Fine. I wait. Get back on the line, he can only give me store credit. This is unreal! It's $3 worth of chips. I say screw it, driver just drop them off. Leave at door. No. This driver has to call me twice to make sure I come all the way down with my kids to get the chips. I send a message to corporate. The area manager emails me back says she'll get the refund started. Today I open the mail, there's a gift card in there. SMDH. Avoid this chain all together. Firehouse is where it's at. read more

"Eek! Methinks not" was meant to describe this location. My experiences with this Jimmy Johns location warrants zero stars so I'm giving them one star, the lowest possible. I moved to an apartment located less than half a mile away from this Jimmy Johns. On a Saturday, after spending hours with my husband/family moving into our new place, I was excited to find this location so close to home. I decided to order a late lunch for the 6 of us and called to place a delivery order. To my disappointment, everything about this order went wrong. When I ordered, I asked for 6 sandwiches + 3 drinks + 5 bags of chips along with a few extra cups - empty so that we could share the drinks ordered. The order taker asked me if plastic cups were ok and I said yes. When my order arrived, I was disappointed to find the grand total inflated by $10 more than the total quoted over the phone! I looked at the receipt and saw a $1.25 charge for each empty cup, which were not plastic but Jimmy Johns cardboard cups. $7 for empty cups didn't fly with me so I asked for them to take them off the bill. I was told that my only option was to take the cups and accept a credit for a future purchase or return the cups. Cups in hand, I agreed to the latter and wondered if the cups would be reissued to another customer. Next, I had to wait for the delivery guy to call the restaurant, get a new total and run my debit card again! This caused me to be double billed -- leaving $100 in pending transactions. The sandwiches tasted fine but later that evening I was still thinking about the experience and took a look at the receipt again. It turns out I had been charged a "Del Fee" -- originally for $13.48, and then adjusted down when I refused to pay for empty cups. I immediately called asking for an explanation and was told by the manager on duty that they don't charge a delivery fee and that I was probably looking at the sales tax. I asked why on the receipt I saw both a "Sales Tax" charge and a "Del Fee". I was told that I shouldn't worry - that fee didn't go to the driver. I explained that I didn't care who got the fee, I still didn't want to pay for it. I was fed excuse after excuse, and the manager on duty refused to admit that I was charged a delivery fee. I also questioned the double billing and she assured me the charges would be corrected by the next day. Frustrated, I asked to speak to her manager and was told he was not in but that I could leave my number and she would pass on a message for him to call me. I was surprised to hear from her manager - but I did. He apologized profusely for the behavior of his staff and for my troubles with the order. I emphasized the experience made me NOT want to order from this location again. I said I'd rather drive farther away for more accurate transactions and that I was annoyed that 4 days after my order, I still had $100 in pending charges. He assured me the cancelled empty cup order would be credited ASAP. I restated my disinterest in ever using this location again and was then offered cancellation of all debit charges plus a $25 credit to be applied to a future purchase. I thanked him and a few days later I saw a full credit for all charges. I doubted I'd ever use the free $25 credit until TODAY -- a rainy, foggy, trafficky day where all I wanted to do was put my sit back with my feet up, eat a sandwich and watch Scandal. Reluctantly I called to place an order. I hoped that a much smaller order wouldn't cause any complications. Boy was I wrong. My order was simple - 3 sandwiches +1 bag of chips. Let me reiterate that I live less than 1/2 mile away from this location. It took 40 minutes to get my food. When I placed the order, I first asked if there was a $25 credit associated with my phone number. I was surprised to hear a "yes". I placed my order and the total came to $19ish. 30 minutes after I placed the order, I found it odd I hadn't heard from the driver. I called and was told they were working on sandwich platters so there was a delay. I frowned and hung up. Minutes later I got a call from the delivery person telling me there was a delay but she was at my apartment complex, and couldn't find my building. I gave her directions and she showed up out of breath and apologetic. I told her it wasn't her fault, but I never plan to order from this location again. She apologized and mentioned something about an employee who didn't show up. Then she told me total: $19ish -- and waited for me to pay. I explained that I had a credit and that I was to pay $0. She said she'd have to call. I told her again it wasn't her fault but that her location was awful and to tell her manager I said so. #AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THIS read more

We are writing this review because of all of the helpful service we receive from Nick. He is very attentive always does his best to accommodate the customers needs. Even is that means he takes you order and delivers it himself without any error! I would think he would be an asset to your company and he deserves a raise!! The only reason I'm writing a review is to let people know that this location has a Repeater Eater card--buy 10 subs, get 1 free. A nice touch for us regular customers that you don't find at a lot of JJ locations. Good service, nice people, delicious JJ sandwiches. read more

I love me some Jimmy Johns!! They never disappoint except when it comes to "freaky fast" delivery. I only live 4 minutes from them and it has taken the driver sometimes 45 min to 1 hour to get to me. Peak times not apply. I haven't complained because a bunch of kids run it, and I don't want my sandwich to be rubbed wrong if you know what I mean. They are minus one star because of their slow delivery. read more

Ok... So when I'm starving and I want a freakin' sandwich freaky fast... I know NOT to call here. The last dozen times or so each order has taken over 35 min to get to me. You'd think I'd learn. I live 3 miles from the store and unless you were lightly jogging, I don't see how it could take you over 35 min to get me a veggie sandwich. The one by work is here in 6 min flat every time. It is what it is. Good sandwiches and they bring them right to my door when I am working from home. Kind of expensive for what you get but the convenience almost makes up for that. The GOOD: I already have a spot in my heart for Jimmy John's sandwiches, but I always get the french bread, not the wheat or the "Unwich." The wheat bread does taste good, but why not get more with the french bread that tastes even better? Since every Jimmy John's sandwich tastes the same at every place I'll critique on the service I got. The service at this location is very friendly and quicker than what I even expect from a Jimmy John's. I've come here during the lunch rush and when it's been slow and the service is still nice and prompt. I used to work in the world of retail, and customers can make you frustrated during a rush. Even when the line is almost out the door, the workers still have a smile on their face, treat you with respect and courtesy, and even have some time to joke around with you. I've met the owner a bunch of times, and he's a cool guy. During the 4th of July parade in Darien, he and a bunch of employees from the store gave away free sandwiches to bystanders. I've never seen any store do that. That's going the extra mile for current customers and getting new ones. The BAD: I'm not a fan of the Unwich. I applaud the fact they have a low carb alternative from their sandwiches, but I don't like the use of iceberg lettuce for it. It retains so much water that it makes everything too wet for me. Nothing really bad about this place though. I guess some could say the parking during a rush because the plaza is popping with business since there is a busy dry cleaners nearby along with a Caribou, and Panda Express. I've been ordering sandwiches at this location since it opened. From the beginning, this Jimmy John's has delivered consistently fast service. For example, the last few times I've been here, my dining companion placed the order, while I made a rest stop. Our order of three sandwiches is always ready before I emerge from the restroom! Normally, I order the Vito or the Turkey Tom. Both sandwiches are prepared on a thick sandwich roll, fresh and chewy. The Vito is an Italian sub. It contains salami, onion, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and an Italian vinaigrette. They pile on a reasonable amount of salami, and the sandwich is mildly spicy. The Turkey Tom is much simpler. It consists of turkey (obviously), lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. Very basic but the lettuce and tomato give it a crisp taste. The parking lot is a bit tight at this location. Finding a place to park is my least favorite part of visiting, but it's not impossible. read more

I work near this location and my co-workers and I sometimes order here for lunch. We usually order online ahead of time and just run in to pick it up. I've never had any problems with the order being incorrect, nor have my co-workers to my knowledge. The bread is always soft (unlike many other Jimmy Johns locations) and everything tastes good. So, I don't usually write reviews about corporate chains but I feel compelled to for this one. I will preface this by saying that the staff is always super nice and the food is, well it's Jimmy John's food. However, for a place that prides itself on fast delivery they don't seem to quite get the concept. I have ordered for delivery twice from this location. The first time it took over an hour for my food to arrive. The second time I ordered, after trying to explain where I live to the person on the phone for 5 minutes I finally gave up and said "Forget it I'll just come in." Here's why that's hilarious. I live less then a mile away. I'm in the first neighborhood across the street. In the summer I usually ride my bike back and forth and complete the trip in 20 min. Now here's my deal. If you're whole thing is delivery, "freaky fast freaky good" or whatever, how the hell do you not know how to get to someone less than a mile away? As a delivery service the very first thing you should have is a map. I felt like I was calling some random guy in his basement and asking for a sandwich. "Hey guy, what ya got in your fridge.... Okay whip somethin up and drive it on over." In that case I would expect confusion and lack of directions. Although to be fair that guy might have a laptop or an iPhone or at the very least a map. My past experience have lead me to leave this location with one star. They get one star only due to yelp requiring a rating otherwise they wouldn't get any. Ordinarily I don't take to the interent to talk about the service of a place; good or bad. Honestly this location has been so bad that I decided to for once. I have been booking all of my orders online giving a lot of detail as to where I am located at. Yet two out of three times I am getting phone calls asking where I am located at. I am sorry, but with the amount of detail I shouldn't be receiving any calls asking where I am. At first I thought maybe it was the driver, because it was the same driver. Then I got a different driver, same problem. I am at work where I cannot be taking calls because someone cannot read. All I have to say is if you want Jimmy John's DO NOT order from this location. read more
