I really love jimmy johns sandwiches, they're simple and really delicious. Earlier today I ordered my favorite Club Lulu sandwich for lunch and added cheese and when I got home I noticed that they forgot to add the cheese so I called them and they said they would remake it. when I got there to pick up my sandwich, I noticed that they took the liberty to remake my entire order which included 2 bags of chips, I thought they'd only give me another sandwich. Usually have a great experience with this place. Ordered online 10 minutes prior to arriving, people in store ordered after the fact and picked up order before me. I have been on a strict diet for years and therefore haven't really had a sandwich in ages. One day I was driving around trying to figure out what I wanted to eat and for whatever reason this place popped into my head. I went there and ordered the beach club which is what I used to order years ago and I was delighted that it was exactly the same and delicious. The service was great fast and the food was awesome. I have been a fan of Jimmy John's for while now. I've mostly been to this location, and one other in Fresno. No complaints here, except for their super annoying radio commercials! They really do get your food out fast, like literally within minutes of ordering. On top of that you can order online and pay instore and have your meal waiting for you right when you get there! Solid 3.5 rating. As reviews suggest, these ARE solid sandwiches. I've eaten about a 100 of these since this is close to my office. They're not necessarily what I would call 'gourmet' as their name suggests, but what I like is that they are fresh, fairly healthy, and what I like most -- CLEAN. Meaning, its not a 'saucy' sandwich that's going to be fucking dripping all over your shit as your eating it, with ingredients falling all over the place. If I'm in the mood for that, i'll go elsewhere. But generally, I cannot STAND when hand-held food is not assembled well, and just falls into your lap -- this is not that. Also, the bread is freshly made (by default it's a french roll I believe) and also has a somewhat unique texture that completely indicates it's fresh -- hard to describe, but good. So, as far as freshness, yes the ingredients are very fresh. Every time I go, the service is also great, and as their catch phrase suggests, they are FAST. There's been many occasions where I get my sandwich handed to me before the cashier is even done completing my fucking debit card transaction!!! It's not rare I walk out of there in under TWO MINUTES. Anyways, there's really not MUCH to say about Jimmy John's. It's a good, clean, fresh sandwich. It's not the best, most savory and indulgent sandwich you will eat, no way -- but it hit's the spot when you need it. I wouldn't tell you to 'go out of your way' to visit this place, but if you're around the area and need a quick, fresh bite and don't want a greasy burger...then come here. Ok, The sandwiches aren't bad, not great either, but there was one thing about this place which infuriated me, to the point which I will never, ever, patronize them for any reason short of actual starvation. On this inside, they have a Sign which says "NO HIPPIES" I could not believe my eyes when I saw this. How could any self respecting business put up a sign which promotes such blatant discrimination. Worst sandwich place I have ever been to our sandwich didn't come with cheese mayonnaise or anything else than normal sandwich shops have. They ask you if lettuce tomatoes and mayo is OK when ordering and that's all they put in there if you want cheese you have to ask, they don't have olives or wax peppers. In the entire state of California, this has been the ONLY Jimmy John's for as long as I've been living here (five years). Being that I went to school about 100 miles from where Jimmy John's started, and that the college town I lived in had Jimmy Johns as one of the best food options around, it's pretty hard to live in SoCal without it. So when we found ourselves within 100 miles of the only California JJs, we knew it was time to make a special detour. Jimmy Johns is a franchise, and I can think of four states where I've eaten it, and as with any good franchise they are consistent, and the Clovis store is no different. We'd just had Jimmy Johns a couple weeks earlier while in Vegas, so this trip wasn't a serious reunion but more a reminder that there was a reason we'd eat Jimmy Johns with some regularity when we lived nearby them! For years I lived for the various roast beef sandwiches, occasionally swapping it out for a "Turkey Tom" (turkey with alfalfa sprouts) when I wanted something that wasn't red meat. And more recently I've been really into their tunafish sandwich. But really, with Jimmy John's it's all really tasty, fresh, and filling. So, if you're lucky enough to live in/near Clovis, take advantage! Or if you find yourself passing relatively nearby and don't have meal plans, take a detour. Then consider bringing Jimmy John's to your city in California, because we really, really could use it. read more

A pretty ok sandwich, nothing too special about them, but there is nothing bad about them either. This is a nice clean restaurant with relatively quick service, although some of the people at the counter seemed a little off-putting, but none of them were exactly rude though. The sandwiches were good, although they do not put enough meat on them for my tastes. I got the italian sandwich and the section of meat was about 2mm thick, it tasted good when I could taste it over all the lettuce, but I feel like it could have had a little more meat on it. Let me see, last time I ordered (few weeks ago) I was told that if I wanted no mayo on my sandwich I needed to tell them before they added it as a combo; very rude. Today I ordered and asked for extra Italian sauce...what I didnt know was that its mostly oil that your bread is drenched in by the time they deliver it to my work. Jimmy John's is ok, I would rather eat at a Quizno's though to be honest. I get one of the turkey sandwich specials but there is absolutely nothing on it worth bragging about. The meat is ok, and the extras that you can put on also don't taste like anything special. And I think their bread has little to no flavor to it and just looks so plain...I'm guessing they must have some other types of bread to choose from there but I'm not sure, and all I've had was regular white bread. read more

In my opinion of Jimmy John's, it's all about the bread. I do love their bread. And unlike that other sandwich place (Subway), you can actually taste the meat and the quality is pretty good. I like the red peppers that you have ask for, it makes the sandwich taste even better. I like that they shred their lettuce and it tastes fresh, not fresh from a bag. They deliver, their bread is awesome and I just love, love, love them. What's not to like? You can even buy their day old bread for 79 cents for a 12 inch loaf. It's still good. Fresher bread than Subway. Too bad JJ's only has ONE California location as places like Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado (Denver) are spoiled rotten with many locations. I ordered a club lulu today for lunch. The staff was very friendly, tons of employees working the lunch hour. Service was very quick, the sandwich was great, Jimmy Johns bread is the best. The seating area is kinda small and limited, there were no tables open, but it was busy. I took mine to go, and the best part is they are really fast and will have it done in a few minutes.
