Tato was working. I arrived at 8:56 and I saw him standing at the counter through the counter. As I entered the store through the unlocked door, he went and stood in the back until 9 and told me that he was closed and had everything put away. If you are advertised as open until 9- you should have things prepared to serve until 9. I understand having things cleaned up and preparing to leave but you should still serve the customers that arrive before your self imposed closing time. read more

When it isn't you discover that they use Uber Eats which doesn't follow your online order instructions like leaving food outside the door. I get the Turkey Tom sandwich on sliced wheat regularly. It's good. I wish there was more turkey on it and I also wish they had deli chicken slices I guess, but other than that, I'm happy with this place. Nothing is ever bad here and the ability to customize your sandwich is a huge plus. I'm partial to the tuna with cucumber and hot peppers although I'd literally eat any sandwich on the menu. I came in for a sandwich because each time I see a Jimmy John's in another state, I know I can trust the quality so it is a safe bet for a sandwich. This time I come to this store and Kai is my order taker. Kai was so awesome at making my sandwich. I know that sounds odd but Kai seemed to care about my sandwich. Most times they are rushed and do it quickly but the sandwiches are good so I go back. I used to order from Jimmy John's all the tinge when I worked in downtown Austin and loved it!!! Today while working, I got hungry and searched for nearby places. I decided to visit the location at 183 and Anderson Mill, but did not have such a great experience. I was sold on box lunch special, but was surprised to end up paying over $13 for a much smaller sandwich then I'd had in the past, a drink wasn't included (hence the extra charges). I love Jimmy Johns yall. I personally think the sandwiches are better here than at Thundercloud subs. Every time I order a sandwich these guys make it the exact same way. It's so predictably good, that i find myself craving the taste of a Turkey Tom or Gargantuan. I'd you order the sandwiches to be delivered box style for a working lunch, they tend to get skimpy on the meat. Every time I've ordered an individual sandwich for delivery (and yes they will deliver just one sandwich), it's been as solid as when you go on. They don't mess around on the speed and they've cornered the market when it comes to quality AND speed. The bread is baked daily and everything tastes as good as a sandwich can get. Apparently this Location does not care about Americans with disabilities I identified myself as someone who cannot wear a mask and I have a legit medical reason with medical paperwork to back it up and I was still told I had to leave and sucks for you we can serve you. I would have given a 0, but that wasn't an option. Absolutely the worst location I have ever done business with. I had to call in after waiting for over 30 minutes for a delivery. The employee who answered (Cody), was the worst representative I have ever Spoke with. He said sorry dude we are busy if you have an I issue call back after the lunch rush, then he hung up the phone. The kid was such a coward he didn't want to give me his name. I then spoke to his Manager Daniel who was also a spineless coward with every excuse in the book why they suck at there job. My work offered a free lunch. "What's that?" I say, "No such thing." Then they ordered lunch and charged it to the company. Cynicism be damned! I had the Country Club sandwich with the addition of bacon. Turkey, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. DELICIOUS. Their french bread is perfect. Their chips are kettle style and I don't know what they do to their pickles but they're also pretty great. The delivery arrived less than 15 minutes after the order was placed. I usually like jimmy johns. First time i picked up turkey tom from this location. As i was about to eat my sandwich, i realized that the bottom of the sandwich was unusually hard. I could tell the bread has been sitting out for a while. My 4 year old couldnt even bite into it. I myself had hard time eating it. I forgot to ask to put cheese on my sandwich but then they should have asked me while they took my order. Either way not a good experience this time with hard as a rock bread. I agree with the other reviewer from today, one hundred percent...it made me laugh because it is true, and I cannot believe I have not reveiwed this one in all of the times that I have utilized this particular JJ. This is a terrific JJ in North Austin. Whatever their secret is, they never fail! I do the delivery option probably 50% of the time, just so I can go there because I like them that much. The delivery charge when I am in that area is hilarious (it is under a dollar for the delivery charge, which we all know is cheaper than getting into a hot car sometimes and burning up more gas than a dollar is worth).... Now don't get me wrong, I love Jimmy John's sandwiches. They taste great, they offer plenty of variety, the delivery is literally FREAKY FAST, but I'm left with only one problem. I typically only order Jimmy John's when I'm at work and don't have time to make it out to actually grab something to eat. My sub always arrives promptly, but I've got one issue with this place that warrants the 3 star rating that I've given Jimmy Johns: I have literally NEVER received a "thank you" for the tip that my driver ALWAYS gets. So, I teach at an elementary school. We get 30 minutes to pee and eat. It doesn't allow for going somewhere. Sometimes, I'm not just with it enough at 6:30 am to pack a lunch. So I hope for the best with the cafeteria, which often doesn't work out. That's when we call our boyfriend Jimmy, as we call him. Jimmy starts delivering at 11, which is awesome, because we have ridiculously early lunches. Jimmy takes 10-15 minutes from phone call to delivery at the front office, which is fabulous- it's not a big deal if I forget to order it in until 10:45. He doesn't get paid extra for that, and honestly he wasn't sure how to accomplish that but he put me on hold respectively and got the answers and made it happen. I must have visited on two bad days. I just gave it another try and the tuna had a horrible tinny taste like spoiled fish. It went straight in the garbage. If you order jimmy john's expecting the best sandwich ever made, you're going to have a bad time. Jimmy John's dances to one song and one song only: order so fast but the delivery guy still finds me. With that in mine, Jimmy John's is one of the better delivery experiences you will ever get. AND their sandwiches aren't that bad if you know what you want and how you want it. They load a lot of stuff into it so let them know if they should go easy on the lettuce or put extra mayo, it's your food! Fast but not accurate. JJ doesn't deliver to me so one would think that an in person sandwich order would be pretty easy. Sadly no, unless you think getting 1 out of 3 right is ok. I guess the moral of the story is always double check your order, even when they are making it less than 5 feet away from you.
