I love getting my takeout orders from here! The employees who work here are always fast & efficient when it comes to making your subs and very kind. I've had them sometimes strike up a funny conversation with me while they were making my subs; quite awesome because you don't see that often. Though their menu has more than a dozen sub choices and the ability to customize your own, I recommend the Big John which is essentially a roast beef sub with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I also request some hot peppers inside to give it a small kick. Another favorite of mine is their JJBLT which is just their form of a BLT sandwich. What makes these subs taste great is also their bread. Something about their French bread that is soft, slightly chewy, but very tasty. From what I've heard, they also have the option for you to just stop by to purchase their bread. Your typical regular size is 8", but there is a giant size you can order that is 16". Parking can be limited as it shares the lot with other businesses in the plaza, but pending time of day, you shouldn't have a problem. read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Augusta. It's close to my office so I always drop in and grab lunch to go. Normally, I wouldn't bother writing a review since Jimmy John's is a chain, but JJ is new to Augusta and I figured I'd spread the word. If you're not familiar, the sandwiches are delicious-- far better than Subway, on par with Publix. My personal favorite is the beach club, which is turkey, lettuce, sprouts, cucumbers, and avocado. This Jimmy John's in particular is great because of their customer service. The people at the front counter have always been courteous to me and have never messed up my order. In fact, they've always repeated it back to me to make sure they got it right. Plus the staff keeps this establishment very clean and tidy. As for the food itself, it is always made to order right in front of you. Jimmy John's doesn't hide any part of the sandwich-making process from you. You can see what's going into your food and who's handling it. This means, of course, that the sandwiches are very fresh and, because Jimmy John's has such quick turnover, the ingredients aren't left out for a long time. I love the taste of the sandwiches and the fact that you can customize them or just order them as they come. The only downside to this Jimmy John's is that they can be a bit heavy on the sauce. It amazes me how fast this place is. Look at the menu for a second, step up and make your order, and by the time you get your wallet back in your pants your sub has magically appeared before you. You may sit there and wonder if your sub has been made correctly and want to check it but I can assure you my sub has been made right each and every time. The bread is made fresh daily, its obvious the veggies they use are fresh and they don't try and skimp on anything like other places do. I like their bread and I just noticed that they have a sign that stats you can buy their day old bread for $0.47.
