This Jiffy Lube has always provided superior service provided by great staff. This is a case of a business knowing what they do and doing it expertly and efficiently. We have closer Jiffy Lube's near us but they have broken the nut on our oil pan and not owned up to it, or goofed up some other detail that makes us avoid them like the plague. On our most recent visit, Jonathan was the manager and he did a fantastic job orchestrating our service. We needed a brake light replaced and an oil change and we were in and out within 20 minutes. We used an online coupon and the value was exceptional. We've been coming to this Jiffy Lube for many years and the whole crew there does a fantastic job. read more

Feel Free To Drive My Tire-Punctured Car To Another Town Without My Permission!!! On Friday, I called to order tires for my car. My drivers-side tire was flat and I put Fix-A-Flat in it so I would be able to drive it to get it repaired. I was told the tires would be available on Saturday and they would let me know when I could bring it in to get them replaced. On Saturday, I checked in several times and when the tires finally arrived I was advised it was too late to fix them that day. On Sunday, I brought my car in first thing in the morning. I had to fill the tire up, because it had gone low again. I was advised it would be about an hour to an hour and a half for the tire to be fixed. I came back about fifty minutes later and my car was not in the shop. I was informed that my car had been driven to the tire shop in Schaumburg and was in the process of being repaired. I was told they didn't have the tire machine there. Isn't this something you should tell people before they leave their car with you? I Was Livid. Is this even legal? Who gave this company permission to drive my car 15.1 miles / 26 minutes away? Who knows what could have happened, or what they could have done to/with the car, while it was not in their garage? SO many ridiculous questions and concerns flashed through my head about this scenario. I called around to other shops, and even to the people in Schaumburg who had my car, and was advised by the District Manager of Jiffy Lube that this should not have been done at all. This was not the policy of their company. I got my car back after consistent calling and checking and immediately left that location. Upon talking with higher-ups, I was asked what could make this situation better. I was unable to decided because they did their job and I got the new tires, so I wasn't looking for anything free, but for them to offer a coupon for an oil change in good faith is a kick to the b**ls. You took my car, against company policy, off the lot and to another city without asking or even telling me, breaking rules of the company and the trust between you and the client, and it's supposed to be fixed by a coupon for an oil change? One of the cheapest services you provide. Who knows where you might take my car when I drop it off for that? Thanks, but your company is not one I will risk taking a chance on again, especially if this is your half-a** attempt at customer appreciation. read more

My experience was as follows: I visited for an oil change on weds 11/22 for an oil change and both cabin filter changes. I asked the team if there was anything else I needed or recommended - they stated nothing more than some factory recommendations but nothing I specifically needed at that time. I explicitly stated I commute from Chicago to the Suburbs for work, and was driving to Nebraska for Thanksgiving. They assured me my car was "road ready." Driving home from Nebraska on Sunday 11/26 my cars check engine light came on. It started shuttering as I was driving. I stopped at a gas station off exit 42 and immediately turned my car off. I put in gas and then my car wouldn't start at all. I was able to eventually get it to turn over and made it the 200 miles still home to Chicago. I brought it back to Jiffy Lube 986 immediately the next day. The attendant there told me the following 1) I had overfilled the oil - I asked how I could have overfilled the oil when they were the ones that had done the oil change 3 days prior. 2) This just "happens" to Chevy Cruze's 3) When showing the attendant a photo I took of my dry oil and dipstick his response was, "I can't see the full photo how do I know you checked it right." 4) And lastly - when the attendant brought me into the garage to show me that a seal was ruptured due to overfilling, I asked him why this had not been brought up to me when I was there Wednesday. His two responses were, "we were really busy" followed by "so because we didn't tell you, it's our fault." While in the waiting room, the attendant aggressively showed me an invoice and then crumpled it up in my face. (between 513pm-555pm if you have lobby cameras). Additionally, when my car was ready a younger attendant with glasses walked in, said nothing to me, and threw my keys at me across the counter. I'm disgusted with the bullying tactics and lack of customer service with this location. Please refund me for this visit so we can move on. The following week I went to Midas and spent over $1000 for damages that could have been addressed and not exacerbated by the neglect of the Jiffy Lube Wheeling team read more

I've been there several times, and have always had quick, efficient service. When I first speak to them, I ask them to please not try to upsell to me, yet this most recent time they still brought me air filters and asked about light bulbs and wiper blades. When I ask, they should not do this. The waiting area is clean, with a nice restroom, and the workers are pleasant and courteous. If they stop the upselling when I specifically ask them not to, I'll continue to come here. One more experience like the last, and I'll be finding a different location. read more

Horrible experience. I took my car to get inspected here for Uber. And during the 45 minute wait, they kept my lights on the whole time while my car was turned off but the keys were in the ignition. So, they ended up draining my car battery so that my car wouldn't even start...and then without offering to charge it back up for me or anything. Very disappointed with the service here and the ASE certified mechanics. The tecs seem to not understand their job nor proper customer service. Also, just looked under my hood and I saw this. My battery light went on but I didn't have a choice but to keep going. I was worried it wouldn't start when I left work but had to take the chance. I was going through a drive through, my steering wheel locked and I could barely get turn it. I went to the jiffy lube on the corner. They were literally the most useless, unbothered, unhelpful men I have ever met. My car died before I could even get it in the garage. They jumped it and told me to drive 2.5 miles to a mechanic. I asked them if they thought that was safe, and if I would make it. My car died, in 20 degree weather, turning onto Rand road. My car had to be towed, and it was the police officers who helped push it out of traffic and into the lot. When they did, one of the employees asked to push it further because we were in one of the lanes of the entrance (cars could easily get by). I am beyond disgusted that three men who are supposed to have a semblance of automotive understanding told me to drive 2.5 miles. Avoid at all costs. read more

I dread going to get my oil changed and procrastinate for months longer than I should- I know how to do quite a few things on my car, and know what things are priority and what aren't, but wherever I go for an oil change, I always end up feeling taken advantage of, disrespected, overcharged and talked down to. Until today! I knew I was running crazy low on oil, because I know enough to check my oil, but rather than stop and pick up a quart myself to procrastinate even longer, I decided to spend my lunch break at the Jiffy Lube closest to work. Staff were friendly and worked their butts off to get me in and out in under 15 minutes. No one made my go look at my engine to talk about major work or flushes, and no one tried to sell me overpriced windshield wipers or replace my air filter unnecessarily. I was assisted by 3 different people who were super friendly and most importantly, no one saw my being female as a sign that i would blindly buy a bunch of things i do not need. This is my preferred location as it's efficient, I don't really have to worry about being upsold (my car is fairly new and they did not suggest unnecessary repairs / replacements the last few oil changes), and the wait is fairly minimal. I wish I could give this location zero stars. I am beyond aggravated right now and feel totally taken advantage of. I sent one of my employees (a young 26 y/o man) to this Jiffy Lube to get my 2019 Toyota Highlander a standard oil change. He was gone less than an hour, and when he handed me the receipt for $237.31 I almost fell over. I asked him how the hell a standard oil change could cost this much, and he told me they insisted I needed a new air filter ($26.99), cabin air filter ($39.99), and rear differential synthetic service ($79.99), oil filter ($5.59) and the oil change for $69.99. NOT TO MENTION $75 FOR LABOR. At this point, I knew he had been taken advantage of. The reason I know this to be FACT is bc I just had all of my filters changed in August (It is only December 8th), and I have driven less than 2,000 miles in this time. I decided to call Jiffy Lube and speak to the gentleman who handled my service, and as soon as I explained to him that there is NO WAY my filters needed changing bc I had them changed 3 months ago and have driven less than 2,000 miles in this time, he simply stated "I showed the filter to your employee and he was the one who said it was dirty and needed changing". I asked if he TOLD HIM they were dirty and needed changing and he started stuttering and says "yes, but he agreed". My employee knows NOTHING about cars, or filters, and was totally taken advantage of. The man at Jiffy Lube knew this to be true and said he made a mistake and would refund the $67 for the filters. I was pleased with this, but still don't understand why at 25,000 miles they insisted on changing my rear differential oil when it only needs to be done between 30k-50k miles. He would not budge on this and says, "You would have needed it in 30k miles any ways". So not only did they charge me $237, they didn't even vacuum my interior or clean my windows!!!! Never once have I not had these services done complimentary. What a bunch of dickheads. I called for a second time to ask why they didn't vacuum or wash my windows and they blamed it on Covid!! LMAO. PLEASE tell me what washing exterior windows or vacuuming a vehicle has to do with Covid?! This is just them using Covid as an excuse to be LAZY. I am DISGUSTED with this shop and plan to tell EVERYONE I know in Wheeling and Northbrook about my experience. I am a successful business owner in the area and would NEVER treat my customers in any such way. These guys are scam artists, and the stereotypical shop that upsells and lies to it's customers. I will NEVER, EVER make the mistake of visiting a Jiffy Lube. What a terrible experience. These guys should be shut down and I plan to notify the BBB, and leave this review on every platform possible to warn other patrons about these rip off artists. JIFFY?? NOT !!! It begin with a $10 coupon. I called Jiffy Lube and was told over the phone the cost was around $37, minus my coupon I was told would be around $27. Fine. I drive up 15 minutes later and was told by "Chris" the tech that drives your car in the shop, that again, with the coupon, it would be $27. After almost 45 minutes later the oil change is completed, the manager comes and tells me its $52. You see I had not picked the correct type of oil out of their Signature Oil change list. (I'm sure of the three that I had to choose from would have had the same result). This manager was rude not only to me but with all the people he was ringing up before me. I told him "Chris" assured me that it would only be in the $27 price range with the coupon. Manager was indignant and very sternly told me that I had chose which type of oil to put in. Implying that it was my own fault for choosing the one I did. Well when he was overly explaining the difference, throwing out way to much mechanical mumbo jumbo I told him I wanted the oil that would end up costing me $27 like Chris the tech told me it would. NO said manager! Well needless to say I will NEVER going to a Jiffy Lube again. My First Oil Change! Okay so my car's three years old and has since had mutiple changes. I hate using the gender card but I've relied on the men in my life for all things relating to automobile care and maintenance. I was paranoid about taking it to a quickie-auto place but my recent Jiffy Lube visit was easy, fast with zero complications (yet...). Pulled up and let the folks at JL do their thing. I was in the waiting area with another elderly lady (who was far more clueless about her car) and the man behind the desk was very friendly and reassuring. My wife took my Jeep in for an oil change on a Friday morning and was greeted by every technician working. There was no wait and they started on the car immediately. They cleaned the windshield, checked the tires, and reset the electronic oil change log. The entire thing took no longer than 15 minutes.
