Within a few months of one another, both of our vehicles needed repair work. More recently my car needed headlight repair work done & again, they were honest, friendly, responsive, & fairly priced. I will always come back to Mike's shop & refer everyone I know to him for repairs!

At desk, Joe , took my information. Went to run errands and came back twice to the car shop to check on the status of car and every single time my car has not been worked on, Joe ( help at front desk) kept saying your car is next and will be an hour or so for diagnostic. Here came 13:30 almost 14:00 and my car has not been worked on at all . It sat in their lot for 6 hrs for nothing. All I asked is for clean, clear communication and not feel I was being given the run around when my car was going to be worked on. I even felt this helper at the front desk ( Joe) might have been prejudiced against me being a petite latina woman. Michael was very professional but this Joe person does not have any customer service skills. They may have 5 rating review that is why I took my car there for a diagnostic but a 5 rating review was not my experience today. I lost one day now I have to take another day off and find another location to service my car. I have a busy schedule and this was just not right. And its ok lets say they are a busy shop but communicate clearly. And I asked why did I make an appointment to bring the car in then???? Was given some BS answer.

I found reviews on Yelp for Engines Express and they were all very good. I called the shop and they were very knowledgeable and professional and I felt comfortable with them. I managed to get my vehicle to them just before they closed for the weekend. They called me early in the day on Monday after troubleshooting and gave me their findings. We agree to a course of action. They ordered the parts and completed the repairs Tuesday morning. I am very pleased with Engines Express. If you are looking for an automotive repair service in East Texas, I highly recommend Engines Express.

Easily one of, if not THE best repair shop experiences any of us have had. 5 / 5, would recommend in a heartbeat.

Quickly/professionally his team performed my oil chg as requested. But it didn't stop there. A first. He actually knew how to retrieve my dirty cabin filer behind my Buick Enclave glovebox. What? NEVER seen anyone do this before. Filter was almost black. Easy for me to approve replacing. He did this procedure himself so fast I was highly impressed. He also showed me on his computer screen that yes, Buick recommended synthetic oil in my 2011. Who knew?! I HIGHLY recommend Houston, Tyler, Tyler, Josue' and team. Valvoline: keep these guys happy & at this location. Your business will grow by solid word-of-mouth testimonies. They're a nice upgrade & represent the brand. Well worth the time & cost. He pointed at two of the wheels lug studs on the same wheel next to each other had been stripped and the lugs cannot go on and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. Then he said word for word (this happens all the time). I pointed back at all the metal shaving proving they were the ones that caused it. Then got charged in full for them breaking the vehicle. No offer to cover damage, no lift home and vehicle had to be left in a lot overnight until I can find a shop that can fix the vehicle. Pending small claims lawsuit soon to follow. Please don't let this happen to you. Stripping one of the wheel lug studs was bad enough but to then strip the one right next to it? Avoid at your own peril.

When I pulled up one of the team members said they were closing. I asked if they could take care of me so I didn't have to drive 20 minutes down the road to the next Valvoline that was open until 7:00 and why did their website said they were open until 6:00. They told me it was because they were bought out by some other company. It seemed like a pretty easy customer sat deal especially since they were starting up under a "new company". However, the manager must have wanted to punch the clock more than take care of and impress a potential new customer. Sad as it is - kinda convenient location - I highly doubt I would get my oil changed there now and I am less likely to recommend these guys.
