HORRIBLE service. I left my vehicle there for a $140. A/C diagnosis, and was told the fix was a $20. part. Great! 45 minutes later they call me and tell me everything is broken, and that I have to replace everything and I owe them $397.50 - for labor. EVERYTHING IS STILL BROKEN. NO A/C. And now there is a weird sound they claim is coming from the compressor, that wasn't there before!! These guys are real shady!! I *DO NOT* recommend them to anyone!! I'm out hundred of dollars because of Mike and his team!! DO NOT GO HERE!! THESE GUYS WILL RIP YOU OFF!! I left my vehicle here on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 around 12:30pm. I needed my A/C looked at because it was only blowing hot air. I was quoted $140.00 for the diagnostic fee. Around 1:30pm we called the shop, and were told that the mechanic just started looking at the vehicle. We were only like 5 minutes away, so we drove over there. We waited another 5 minutes while the mechanic looked at the vehicle. I was approached by an employee, Jennifer, and told that they completed the diagnosis, and all that was needed was a $20.00 part to fix the A/C. I asked if the part was something that they had to order or if they had one available. They said their vendor was right down the street, but it would be 1-2 hours before they could deliver the part to them. At 2:21pm we were called and told that the part had just arrived, but they wanted to charge an additional $280.00 for 2 hours of labor to install the part. I asked if this would solve the problem and make the A/C work, and I was told, "Yes, it should." I hesitantly gave the go ahead for the 2 hours of labor, but was still unsure of why it would take 2 hours to put in a part that took them less than 10 minutes to take out. I was given a final total over the phone, of $397.50. At 3:13pm, less than an hour later, we were called again and told that everything is broken! They said we needed a new compressor, condenser, and drier. They wanted to charge us an additional $1,347.50 to fix these parts. I told them to STOP working on my car immediately, and I would come pick up my vehicle. The person on the phone said they would have the mechanic put all the parts back in the vehicle. Upon arrival, I was presented with a bill for $397.50. I was told that the labor didn't take as long as they expected, and they offered me a 10% discount off my bill. I asked them why they were charging me for 2 hours of labor, when only less than an hour had gone by, and I had proof from my phone logs. They said they would call "Mike" and went off in private area. They came back in the office and said they would take off one hour of labor. So, the new total should have been $257.50. They asked me for $300.97, that I was forced to pay and sign the receipt, because they were holding my car keys hostage. I looked at the bill and noticed charges that were NEVER discussed with me and that I never agreed too! I was charged for refrigerant, dye, shop supplies, labor, an AC charge, and other fees. Why didn't they tell me my compressor was bad after they diagnosed my vehicle? Why did they tell me the fix was a $20.00 part? Why did the call me 2 hours later demanding another $280.00?Why did they tell me my compressor was bad AFTER they wanted to charge me nearly $400.00 worth of work that was irrelevant? If the compressor is really bad, then I would have to re-charge the system all over again! So, we were forced to pay $300.97 for a $20.00 part that took less than 10 minutes to take out, and would have been INCLUDED with the price of a new compressor? Why did they recharge the system without my permission? Why would they recharge the system at all KNOWING it had a bad compressor? So, if I had agreed to the additional $1,400. (Ridiculous by the way, other local mechanics charge HALF this rate...) then they would have charged me AGAIN to recharge the system? Was that their next scam on the next phone call? These guys totally ripped me off!! read more

Very disappointed. They may be a great auto shop but would not look at my car because its a 1987. (Too old). Said parts are hard to find which is not true. You can buy a new motor/transmission/sensors/fuel injectors= everything online. read more

We rely on Mike's Automotive for all of our repairs. In one case we left my wife's Avalon with them for two days while they searched for an occasional engine "stuttering" she was experiencing. This was the worst type of problem to diagnose since it couldn't be reliably repeated. With our encouragement, they drove the vehicle multiple times and in different traffic conditions trying to repeat the problem. After two days they decided it must be the quality of gas we were getting from our regular station, water perhaps, and didn't charge a penny for all of the time they spent.
