5 / 5 experience. We broke down on our drive to New Orleans to celebrate a family member's birthday, and they picked us up, towed our vehicle, dropped us off at a restaurant while waiting for it to be fixed, fixed it faster than anticipated, then picked us back up from the restaurant. All this was done with grade A personality & kindness with everyone we encountered at the shop, and top to bottom everything was very reasonably priced. Me and my family remain grateful. Easily one of, if not THE best repair shop experiences any of us have had. 5 / 5, would recommend in a heartbeat. read more

I was not able to have my truck fixed here but these guys are very welcoming and professional and didn't try to push me to spend money I didn't have. read more

I had a flat tire on my way home from work and called Hanks right after 5 pm and they came right away. Zack came and was very nice and polite and he got me back on my way in like 15 minutes with a tire change. Thank you so much! read more

I took my 2018 Honda Accord to Hanks with an issue. They quoted $3800, which included a host of items, including injector replacement. I took it to Jack of Diamonds Honda in Tyler instead. They replaced the spark plug's and installed a new battery. Total: $500. It's been months since the repair, and my car has been working like new. I have heard very bad things about this business's pricing, especially toward women read more

One of the most thorough oil service events I've experienced as oil changes go! The service tech checked all major systems, reported on conditions and I left feeling like I'd gotten much more than a basic oil change for sure. Highly recommend! read more

I had a 2001 Mustang, in really bad shape after sitting for several years, that I wanted repaired. The Ford dealership in Mineola told me that the car was not repairable and that I could put $20,000 into it with no guarantee that it would ever run. I took it to Hanks and they repaired it and got it on the road for less than half that. They kept in constant contact with me and let me know upfront of what needed to be done and about what it would cost at every step of the way. Their pricing was fair and the work was outstanding. I would highly recommend Hanks for any car repair service. read more

Recently purchased a used car that needed major A/C work. Hank's fixed me up and now the A/C blows cold air and my new ride is comfortable. Excellent customer service and shout out to Lance who is the front office extraordinaire! He was so kind when I explained the issues and service and communication was clear and understandable. Highly recommend!!! read more

I have not used Hanks in the past. I called them and asked them if they could deliver and install a new battery in my 1985 Mercedes convertible. I called just a few minutes before 5PM. I've hired allot of mechanics over my 70 year lifetime. I believe these guys were the best, most responsive company I've ever dealt with. They were willing to come to my house that evening. I'll be a customer for life. read more

My car had an incident with a flying trash can a week ago and my passenger side mirror was taken off. I took my car to Hanks because they have helped me on several occasions in the last year. Always going the extra mile and was very reasonable. I dropped the car off at 8 am and by noon they called and had my car ready. I couldn't believe it, I thought they might keep the car for a day or two. Picked it up, the cost was less than I thought and the new mirror was perfect. I can't say enough about the team at Hank's. Justin was awesome! read more

My fiancé took her daughter's car here, today. Her Acura was acting up after an 1,800 mile trip. We thought it was a fuel pump issue but the mechanic quickly discovered that she just had some bad gas that maybe had a little water in it. He made a recommendation that was an inexpensive, quick fix and her car was instantly cured! We will be bringing all of our vehicles here from now on. read more

hahaha. these guys charged me $880 to put electrical tape on my spark plug wires that were chewed, after making me wait a full week before they even touched my car, the work they did took them less than an hour. I have an app for my remote start that tells me when my ignition is turned on. LESS THAN AN HOUR, didn't even use heat shrink.. not to mention they didn't tell me I needed new spark plugs and ignition coils. If I could give this place a ZERO I would, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Totally overpriced and unorganized. read more

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. OWNED BY NOBLE TRANSMISSION Owner is loud and no help at all. Told me my steering column needed repaired that was causing the noise on my dash. $1800. Luckily I found out my dashboard was loose read more

the work seems to be ok and they didn't charge an excessive amount of labor for the work done. The issue I had was the mark up on parts. the 3 main parts they replaced i could have purchased for 1059.77 includes tax. with Hanks mark up these parts were 1902.46. they claim 40 % mark up. 40% markup even marking up the tax comes out to 423.91. total would be 1483.68. another mystery part says fuel service at 111.82 not sure what that was so i did not include it in the above calculation. I would go 1 star but like i say the labor was ok. read more

We had the best experience at Hank's under the care of Trish, Pete and Justin!!! It was one of those rare "restore your faith in humanity" experiences. We were on our way to Florida from north of Dallas when our air conditioning stopped working, and we had no choice but to find someone in the immediate area to get us up and running again. I'm sure it's easy to relate when I say there's little that's more worrisome financially than having to find a mechanic in an unfamiliar town on short notice. Instead of finding someone looking to take advantage, we found the friendliest, kindest, most hospitable group of people who's interest in the financial was absolutely secondary to doing right by us and making sure we were happy customers. If we lived in Lindale, they would be our new go to for auto repairs. Very pleased!!! read more

These guys are demigods! They're one of the only places that won't screw you over. Super honest and will offer advice to get you a better bang for your buck. My folks always go to these guys. I highly recommend. read more

Brought my GMC Duramax in. They supposedly did pressure checks. Charged me $1371 to change the filter housing. $300 part. Got her running. Got home and wouldn't start. Put an electric lift pump on it and fuel sprayed everywhere. Return lines leaking. Had to another &1700 somewhere else to fix it. Apparently, you can buy positive reviews on Yelp. read more

As a female I was nervous to go to a repair shop on my own. But everyone at Hanks made me feel so comfortable. They were so kind and informative about all my concerns. They charged me a $125 diagnostic fee and did a full inspection of my car. They found my car leaking from the valve cover gasket, they gave me an estimate and fix it the same day and had me back on the road. Highly recommend!! Very professional!! and offered me snacks and drinks as i waited made me feel right at home!! read more

$880 to replace my emergency brake compared to Los amigos for $330....need I say more? Hanks up charges more than our own government. Not to mention I asked them to check my e brake yet they give me a list of things I need checked in my engine. My e brake has nothing to do with my engine. Worst place ever in my opinion read more

Fast service. Very kind. Don't overcharge you. I have used them for 3 different cars now and have never been disappointed.

I took my truck here because I just bought it and wanted to make sure everything was good to go on it. They listed me repairs that would cost me a couple of thousands of dollars. I then took it to american automotive where they told me only a select few things were wrong with it saving me a lot of money in the long run. Long story short go to Hank's if you want them to rip you off and have you pay for unnecessary repairs read more

We are so relieved to know that we have found a repair shop close to a favorite campground. While they fix a huge variety of autos, this is the second time we have needed service with our motorhome. This is a talented, accommodating group of professionals. When it comes to engine issues they are so much better than services at RV dealerships. The Lindale area is lucky to have them. read more

I took my car to have the clutch replaced. When I picked the car up I drove about 200 yards down the street and the lower control arm fell off the front wheel causing the bottom of the wheel to fall off. After they put the bolts back on I got about 2 hours away and the shifter linkage came off stranding me in Dallas. When I asked what happened the owner said they noticed the bushings were going bad but "forgot" to tell me. When I asked for a refund they offered to pay for the shifter cable which didn't cover my tow, rental car, and missed flight. Warning do not take your car here unless you are comfortable with forgetfulness with your car. read more
